1 And king David said unto all the assembly, Solomon, the only son of mine whom God hath made choice of, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; because not for man is the palace to be, but for the Lord God.
1 Depois o rei Davi disse a todo o povo: — O meu filho Salomão é o único a quem Deus escolheu, mas ele ainda é jovem e sem experiência. O trabalho a ser feito é enorme porque não se trata da construção de um palácio onde vão morar pessoas, mas de um templo para Deus, o
2 But with all my might have I made ready for the house of my God, the gold for the things of gold, and the silver for the things of silver, and the copper for the things of copper, the iron for the things of iron, and the wood for the things of wood, onyx stones, and stones to be set, bright stones, and stones of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
2 Para construir o Templo do meu Deus, preparei com todo o esforço o material necessário, isto é, ouro, prata, bronze, ferro, madeira, pedras de ônix, pedras preciosas, pedras de várias cores para os mosaicos e muito mármore.
3 Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, have I acquired as my own property gold and silver; and this have I given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house:
3 Mas, além de todos os preparativos que fiz para o Templo, dei também prata e ouro que me pertencem, pois amo o Templo do meu Deus.
4 Three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses;
4 Dei mais de cem toneladas do mais puro ouro e duzentos e quarenta toneladas de prata pura para revestir as paredes do Templo
5 All that is needed of gold and of silver, and for every manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who now is willing to consecrate his hand this day unto the Lord?
5 e para todos os objetos que os artesãos vão fazer. Agora, quem está disposto a dar ofertas ao Senhor Deus por vontade própria?
6 Thereupon offered voluntarily the chiefs of the family divisions and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of the thousands and of the hundreds, with the supervisors of the kings work;
6 Então os chefes dos grupos de famílias, as autoridades das tribos , os oficiais do exército e os administradores das propriedades do rei deram de livre vontade
7 And they gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drachms, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of copper eighteen thousand talents, and of iron one hundred thousand talents.
7 para a obra do Templo o seguinte: mais de cento e setenta toneladas de ouro, dez mil barras de ouro, trezentas e quarenta toneladas de prata, seiscentas e quinze toneladas de bronze e três mil quatrocentas e vinte toneladas de ferro.
8 And those with whom stones were found gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord, under the supervision of Jechiel the Gershunite.
8 Aqueles que tinham pedras preciosas deram essas pedras para o tesouro do Templo, que era administrado por Jeiel, do grupo de famílias levitas de Gérson.
9 Then did the people rejoice, because they had voluntarily offered: for with an undivided heart did they offer to the Lord: and also king David rejoiced with great joy.
9 O povo deu de boa vontade ofertas a Deus, o Senhor , e eles ficaram alegres porque havia sido dado tanto. O rei Davi também ficou muito feliz.
10 And David blessed the Lord before the eyes of all the congregation; and David said, Blessed be thou, O Lord the God of Israel our father, from everlasting even unto everlasting.
10 Então, ali em frente de todo o povo, o rei Davi louvou a Deus, o Senhor . Ele disse: — Ó
11 Thine, O Lord, are the greatness, and the might, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty, yea, all that is in the heavens and on the earth: thine, O Lord, is the kingdom, and thou art exalted as the head above all.
11 Tu és grande e poderoso, glorioso , esplêndido e majestoso. Tudo o que existe no céu e na terra pertence a ti; tu és o Rei, o supremo governador de tudo.
12 And riches and honor come from thee, and thou rulest over all; and in thy hand are power and might; and it is in thy hand to make great, and to give strength unto all.
12 Toda a riqueza e prosperidade vêm de ti; tu governas todas as coisas com o teu poder e a tua força e podes tornar grande e forte qualquer pessoa.
13 And now, O our God, we give thanks unto thee, and praise thy glorious name.
13 Agora, nosso Deus, nós te agradecemos e louvamos o teu nome glorioso.
14 For who am I, and what is my people, that we should possess the power to offer voluntarily after this sort? for from thee is every thing, and out of thy own have we given unto thee.
14 — No entanto, o meu povo e eu não podemos, de fato, te dar nada, pois tudo vem de ti, e nós somente devolvemos o que já era teu.
15 For strangers are we before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: like a shadow are our days on the earth, and there is no hope of abiding.
15 Tu sabes, ó Senhor , que tanto os nossos antepassados como nós passamos pela vida como estrangeiros, como pessoas que estão de passagem. Os nossos dias são como uma sombra que passa, e não podemos escapar da morte.
16 O Lord our God! all this abundant store which we have prepared to build for thee a house for thy holy name, is out of thy own hand, and thine is all.
16 Ó Senhor , nosso Deus, nós trouxemos toda esta riqueza a fim de construir um templo para honrar o teu santo nome, mas tudo isso veio de ti, e tudo é teu.
17 And I know, my God, that thou probest the heart, and uprightness thou receivest in favor. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart have I voluntarily offered all these things; and now thy people, that are present here, do I see with joy offering voluntarily unto thee.
17 Eu sei que tu pões à prova os corações e amas as pessoas corretas. Com honestidade e sinceridade, eu te dei de livre vontade tudo isso e vejo com alegria que o teu povo, que está reunido aqui, trouxe de boa vontade ofertas a ti.
18 O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our father, preserve this for ever as the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and direct their heart firmly unto thee.
18 Ó Senhor , Deus dos nossos antepassados Abraão, Isaque e Jacó, conserva para sempre no coração do teu povo esta disposição e este pensamento e guarda-o fiel a ti.
19 And unto Solomon my son do thou give an undivided heart to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all, and to build the palace, for which I have made preparation.
19 Dá ao meu filho Salomão o desejo de obedecer com todo o coração a todos os teus mandamentos e ordens e a vontade de construir o Templo para o qual fiz estes preparativos.
20 And David said to all the assembly. Bless now the Lord your God. And all the assembly blessed the Lord the God of their fathers, and bent down their heads, and prostrated themselves to the Lord, and to the king.
20 Então Davi disse a todo o povo: — Louvem o E todo o povo louvou o
21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the Lord, and they offered burntofferings unto the Lord, on the morrow after that day, one thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, a thousand sheep, with their drinkofferings, and other sacrifices in abundance for all Israel;
21 No dia seguinte mataram animais em sacrifício , dedicando-os a Deus, o Senhor , e depois os entregaram ao povo para que os comessem. Além disso, mil touros novos, mil carneiros e mil ovelhas foram completamente queimados no altar. Também trouxeram ofertas de vinho.
22 And they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great joy. And they declared the second time Solomon the son of David to be king, and they anointed him unto the Lord as chief ruler, and Zadok as priest.
22 Naquele dia comeram e beberam com muita alegria na presença de Deus. Depois foi anunciado pela segunda vez que Salomão era rei. Em nome do
23 Then sat Solomon on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father, and he was prosperous; and all Israel obeyed him.
23 E assim o rei Salomão sentou-se no trono de Deus, o Senhor , em lugar de Davi, o seu pai. Ele enriqueceu, e todo o povo de Israel lhe obedecia.
24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and also all the sons of king David, submitted themselves unto king Solomon.
24 Todos os oficiais e soldados e até os outros filhos de Davi prometeram ser fiéis a Salomão.
25 And the Lord made Solomon exceedingly great before the eyes of all Israel; and he bestowed upon him a royal majesty such as had not been on any king over Israel before him.
25 O Senhor fez com que todo o povo respeitasse Salomão e o tornou mais glorioso do que qualquer outro rei que havia governado Israel.
26 Thus did David the son of Jesse reign over all Israel.
26 Davi, filho de Jessé, governou todo o povo de Israel
27 And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years: in Hebron he reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years.
27 quarenta anos: sete anos em Hebrom e trinta e três em Jerusalém.
28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor: and Solomon his son became king in his stead.
28 Ele morreu bem velho, rico e respeitado, e o seu filho Salomão ficou no lugar dele como rei.
29 And the acts of king David, the first and the last, behold, they are written in the history of Samuel the seer, and in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the history of Gad the seer,
29 A história do rei Davi, do começo ao fim, foi escrita pelos profetas Samuel, Natã e Gade.
30 Together with all his reign and his mighty deeds, and the times that passed over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the various countries.
30 Essa história fala do seu governo, do seu poder e de todas as coisas que aconteceram com ele, com Israel e com os países vizinhos de Israel.
