1 Wərike nongo, sa ijese ugaa wo unay ne aməmo iruwa, ne kiriyanga, a uyane wo ananke apuwa wərike uyate wo ayizi, niyaro, a kuwəde aje anaza ha ncaanom.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Saa aceero, awure asawa ꞊atare nhamza nnooma, ye maa sa iyeme anaza ha Ashini, a ana ata awone-ye ihaaranko ne aməmo utubsa wee sa iciye.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Saanuwa sa ᐩiyiyama a Mbaa uzibi.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Sa iye kewo, utaane wo uray, awaasa agana ᐩagaa-ha, ama Ashini ᐩuzangneke-wo ᐩunyante-wo.

5 Yemaa a saa ataane ha uray, ꞊ayane atiya ha ukura wo bidiri ne ye, wərike ire usonde wo mpiris hare nsano, ꞊iyane uniyaze ne aməmo bidiri, wee sa Ashini uta ukpaa wərike Yeso Animasihu.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Anaza ha Ashini ꞊agose,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Saanuwa ye sa ᐩine iruwa, utaane ween apuwa ha ᐩanyante keye. Ama haremay sa adaake ane iruwa,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 A una ure꞊Aturize wərike ᐩagaa-ha udafe wo anaza ha Ashini. Anongo Ashini ˂ukumare ᐩuwuna ata ayane.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ama ye a aganaa sa ᐩazangneke-ha, usonde wo mpiris me ukura wo tigbama agana ha nsano ha Ashini, wərike ibiyare umənu woo, ᐩukatte-ye ne aməmo nrii niya ne aməmo nsaa mawo nmənuma.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ye haza agana ha Ashini ikire, ama saanuwa ye a agana hawo, ˂ikedaa ikate ikpaa ugofe wo ugbane ama saanuwa ᐩikpaa.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Aruwanke ham, ˃nre ne nwure ma-ye, saa ajan, haremay sa ꞊acugi ne aməmo inang yee, jesen uyane wo ndunkinze me apuwa araa, sa are ne ntaa ne iruwa yee.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Yanen ucugi unoo ne aməmo ntitay me haremay sa haza ahare udafe, kuwəde gade ꞊ayese-ye uzankom, ata anay apuwa anowa sa ꞊iyane, a arumi Ashini uwengo sa uta uye.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Dafen unaafase wo hare tigbama wərike Mbaa, kuwəde gade a ke bigbama bomənubu sa awo ure bore udafe ne agana,

14 a ngbamna, haremay sa bigbama bimənubu ᐩutonte-ha wərike aniyaze hare ꞊uyane wo apuwa araa uriyare, a arumi hare uyane wo apuwa anowa.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Anongo Ashini ᐩuyeme ka ꞊iyane apuwa anowa ita iwəfi tinuwe te agana hare anaza ha mbenne sa atiya-ha ananke apuwa.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Yanen ucugi wee saa haremay sa avuwa-ha ne uriyare, ama kate iyane araa wərike nivuwangeno sa ᐩiciye. Yanen ucugi wee saa ariyare ha Ashini.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Niyazen kuwəde ana iwone, yemen aruwanke hare une wo iruwa, gofen uwuwage wo Ashini, niyazen bigbama iwone.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ariyare, dafen hare ukura wee, ne unaafase wo uniyaze wo iwone, haza haremay sa ꞊ayane-ye anowa ne ugofe wo ugbane cas, ama ne hare uzira wo ugofe wo ugbane.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 ᐩAyane unoo, ka bigana ᐩureete uniya wo uriyare, wərike bigi ꞊uyane-wo apuwa sa anazibiha, ᐩucuwana anongo Ashini ᐩuyeme.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ayina bigana uta uciye ka ureete uniya wo ujago wərike apuwa araa sa ᐩuyane? Ama ka ireete uniya wo uriyare wərike apuwa anowa sa ꞊iyane, ayane unoo ke Ashini.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 A wərike nongo ᐩagaaseke-ye, Animasihu ᐩuniya uriyare wərike ye, ᐩudonke-ye apuwa sa ita iyane, wərike idafe uwunda woo.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 — ausente —
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Sa ˂akabiyare-wo unaafase wo anaza ha araa, ˂ukudaake ukuna ananke apuwa. Sa ˂ukune uriyare, ˂ukudaake uyane sakuna uta uyane ananke apuwa. Uməyu nongo, ᐩune niciye newo ke awaasa ꞊uyane nhara me anowa ne araa ne aməmo kiwenden.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Awo niciye newo ˂ukucuwana apuwa araa haaro ne nipum newo ashini ne ubirikane, wərike tijese uyane wo araa, a tiyane ucugi wo uyane wo anowa, niwuma sa ᐩticiye a wərike sa ˂akagofe-wo ungmənew ne.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Ye ˂ikire saa idunke yee sa ᐩinaa, ama saanuwa ᐩivoore ke bore aviga awaasa ꞊udafe ne asobo haye.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
