7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Zorat Kembugât ekabân den ŋâi itâ zaip,
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Bâliŋ top top zo kândâtkom kut ŋâi ŋâi âlipŋik upap. Oi lumbeŋâ mâtâp kârum muyagem nepŋâ tuubap.
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Kembuŋâ a târârak zen ziŋgiri âlip opmap. Konsâm mâpâsime, zorat kindapkwap tâpmap. Bâliŋ mâme zen ko Kembuŋâ ziŋgitŋâ kâsa otziŋgâm ândimap.”
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Zen ko kut ŋâi âlipŋaŋgât nâŋgâm nep tuum kâtigem ândine aŋâ dap dabân tâmbetzâŋgobi?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Bâliŋ mâme a nâmbutŋâ ziŋ kâsa otziŋgâne sânâm kwâtkwât mân upi. Orot mâme âlipŋaŋgât sâknam kwâkŋan zâibi zo ko Anutuŋâ zeŋgât nâŋgi âlip upap. Kâmbam zâŋgonam utne sânâmziŋ mân sâmbubap. Keŋgât mân upi.
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Umziŋ mem kubikne Kristoŋâ ko kembuziŋ ândibap. Oi nâŋgânâŋgâziŋandâ Kembugâren nâŋgâm ândime, zorat mâsikâziŋgâne um bâbâlaŋ op topŋâ sapsubi.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Kristogât siŋgi a zen kut ŋâi ŋâi âlip op ândine Anutuŋâ nâŋgi âlip oi kâmbam sot tâk namin zâmbanbi, zorat nâŋga âlip uap. Ka bâliŋ utne sâknam ziŋgâbi, a zo zeŋgât nâŋga giap.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Kristo zâk târârak op ândimŋâ a nâmbutŋâ zeŋgât bâliŋâziŋaŋgât opŋâ sâp kânok moi âkip. Târârakŋandâ gâŋgoŋâ neŋgât op yatâ oip. Nen Anutugâren nâmbanbapkât sâk sot ândeip, zo kune moip. Ka Kaapum sot ândei ko mâŋgei zaarip.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.

21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.

22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
