1 พระเยซูตรัสแก่เขาเป็นคำอุปมาอีกว่า
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 "อาณาจักรแห่งสวรรค์เปรียบเหมือนกษัตริย์องค์หนึ่ง ซึ่งได้จัดพิธีอภิเษกมเหสีสำหรับราชโอรสของท่าน
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 แล้วใช้พวกผู้รับใช้ไปตามผู้ที่รับเชิญมาในการอภิเษกนั้น แต่เขาไม่ใคร่จะมา
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 ท่านยังใช้พวกผู้รับใช้อื่นไปอีก รับสั่งว่า `ให้บอกผู้รับเชิญนั้นว่า ดูเถิด เราได้จัดการเลี้ยงไว้แล้ว วัวและสัตว์ขุนแล้วของเราก็ฆ่าไว้เสร็จ สิ่งสารพัดก็เตรียมไว้พร้อม จงมาในพิธีอภิเษกนี้เถิด'
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 แต่เขาก็เพิกเฉยและไปเสีย คนหนึ่งไปไร่นาของตน อีกคนหนึ่งก็ไปทำการค้าขาย
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 ฝ่ายพวกนอกนั้นก็จับพวกผู้รับใช้ของท่าน ทำการอัปยศต่างๆแล้วฆ่าเสีย
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 แต่ครั้นกษัตริย์องค์นั้นได้ยินแล้ว ท่านก็ทรงพระพิโรธ จึงรับสั่งให้ยกกองทหารไป ปราบปรามผู้ฆ่าคนเหล่านั้น และให้เผาเมืองเขาเสีย
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 แล้วท่านจึงรับสั่งแก่พวกผู้รับใช้ของท่านว่า `งานสมรสก็พร้อมอยู่ แต่ผู้รับเชิญนั้นไม่สมกับงาน
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 เหตุฉะนั้น จงออกไปตามทางหลวง พบใครๆก็ให้เชิญมาในงานนี้'
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 พวกผู้รับใช้จึงออกไปเชิญคนทั้งปวงตามทางหลวงแล้วแต่จะพบ ให้มาทั้งดีและชั่วจนห้องโถงงานอภิเษกนั้นเต็มด้วยแขก
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 แต่เมื่อกษัตริย์องค์นั้นเสด็จทอดพระเนตรแขก ก็เห็นผู้หนึ่งมิได้สวมเสื้อสำหรับงาน
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 ท่านจึงรับสั่งถามเขาว่า `สหายเอ๋ย เหตุไฉนท่านจึงมาที่นี่โดยไม่สวมเสื้อสำหรับงานสมรส' ผู้นั้นก็นิ่งอยู่พูดไม่ออก
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 กษัตริย์จึงรับสั่งแก่พวกผู้รับใช้ว่า `จงมัดมือมัดเท้าคนนี้เอาไปทิ้งเสียที่มืดภายนอก ที่นั่นจะมีการร้องไห้และขบเขี้ยวเคี้ยวฟัน'
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 ด้วยผู้รับเชิญก็มาก แต่ผู้ที่ทรงเลือกก็น้อย"
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 ขณะนั้นพวกฟาริสีไปปรึกษากันวางแผนว่า พวกเขาจะจับผิดในถ้อยคำของพระองค์ได้อย่างไร

16 พวกเขาจึงใช้พวกสาวกของตนกับพวกเฮโรดให้ไปทูลพระองค์ว่า "อาจารย์เจ้าข้า ข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายทราบอยู่ว่าท่านเป็นคนซื่อสัตย์ ได้สั่งสอนทางของพระเจ้าจริงๆ โดยมิได้เอาใจผู้ใด เพราะท่านมิได้เห็นแก่หน้าผู้ใด
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 เหตุฉะนั้น ขอโปรดให้พวกข้าพเจ้าทราบว่า ท่านคิดเห็นอย่างไร การที่จะส่งส่วยให้แก่ซีซาร์นั้น ถูกต้องตามพระราชบัญญัติหรือไม่"
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 แต่พระเยซูทรงล่วงรู้ถึงความชั่วร้ายของเขาจึงตรัสว่า "พวกหน้าซื่อใจคด เจ้าทดลองเราทำไม
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 จงเอาเงินที่จะเสียส่วยนั้นมาให้เราดูก่อน" เขาจึงเอาเงินตราเหรียญหนึ่งถวายพระองค์
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 พระองค์ตรัสถามเขาว่า "รูปและคำจารึกนี้เป็นของใคร"
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 เขาทูลพระองค์ว่า "ของซีซาร์" แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับเขาว่า "เหตุฉะนั้นของของซีซาร์จงถวายแก่ซีซาร์ และของของพระเจ้าจงถวายแด่พระเจ้า"
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 ครั้นเขาได้ยินคำตรัสตอบของพระองค์นั้นแล้ว เขาก็ประหลาดใจ จึงละพระองค์ไว้และพากันกลับไป
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 ในวันนั้นมีพวกสะดูสีมาหาพระองค์ พวกนี้เป็นผู้สอนว่า การฟื้นขึ้นมาจากความตายไม่มี เขาจึงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า

24 "อาจารย์เจ้าข้า โมเสสสั่งว่า `ถ้าผู้ใดตายยังไม่มีบุตร ก็ให้น้องชายรับพี่สะใภ้ สืบเชื้อสายของพี่ชายไว้'
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 ในพวกเรามีพี่น้องผู้ชายเจ็ดคน พี่หัวปีมีภรรยาแล้วก็ตายเมื่อยังไม่มีบุตร ก็ละภรรยาไว้ให้แก่น้องชาย
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 ฝ่ายคนที่สองที่สามก็เช่นเดียวกัน จนถึงคนที่เจ็ด
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 ในที่สุดหญิงนั้นก็ตายด้วย
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 เหตุฉะนั้นในวันที่จะฟื้นขึ้นมาจากความตาย หญิงนั้นจะเป็นภรรยาของผู้ใดในเจ็ดคนนั้น ด้วยนางได้เป็นภรรยาของชายทั้งเจ็ดคนแล้ว"
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า "พวกท่านผิดแล้ว เพราะท่านไม่รู้พระคัมภีร์หรือฤทธิ์เดชของพระเจ้า
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 เมื่อมนุษย์ฟื้นขึ้นมาจากความตายนั้น จะไม่มีการสมรสหรือยกให้เป็นสามีภรรยากันอีก แต่จะเป็นเหมือนพวกทูตสวรรค์ของพระเจ้าในสวรรค์
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 แต่เรื่องคนตายกลับฟื้นนั้น ท่านทั้งหลายยังไม่ได้อ่านหรือ ซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ตรัสไว้กับพวกท่านว่า
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 `เราเป็นพระเจ้าของอับราฮัม เป็นพระเจ้าของอิสอัค และเป็นพระเจ้าของยาโคบ' พระเจ้ามิได้เป็นพระเจ้าของคนตาย แต่ทรงเป็นพระเจ้าของคนเป็น"
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 ประชาชนทั้งปวงเมื่อได้ยินก็ประหลาดใจด้วยคำสั่งสอนของพระองค์
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 แต่พวกฟาริสีเมื่อได้ยินว่าพระองค์ทรงกระทำให้พวกสะดูสีนิ่งอั้นอยู่ จึงประชุมกัน
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 มีบาเรียนผู้หนึ่งในพวกเขาทดลองถามพระองค์ว่า
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 "อาจารย์เจ้าข้า ในพระราชบัญญัตินั้น พระบัญญัติข้อใดสำคัญที่สุด"
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 พระเยซูทรงตอบเขาว่า "`จงรักองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าผู้เป็นพระเจ้าของเจ้า ด้วยสุดจิตสุดใจของเจ้า และด้วยสิ้นสุดความคิดของเจ้า'
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 นั่นแหละเป็นพระบัญญัติข้อใหญ่และข้อต้น
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 ข้อที่สองก็เหมือนกัน คือ `จงรักเพื่อนบ้านเหมือนรักตนเอง'
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 พระราชบัญญัติและคำพยากรณ์ทั้งสิ้นก็ขึ้นอยู่กับพระบัญญัติสองข้อนี้"
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 เมื่อพวกฟาริสียังประชุมอยู่ที่นั่น พระเยซูทรงถามพวกเขาว่า
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 "พวกท่านคิดอย่างไรด้วยเรื่องพระคริสต์ พระองค์ทรงเป็นเชื้อสายของผู้ใด" เขาตอบพระองค์ว่า "เป็นเชื้อสายของดาวิด"
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 พระองค์ตรัสถามเขาว่า "ถ้าอย่างนั้นเป็นไฉนดาวิดโดยเดชพระวิญญาณจึงได้เรียกพระองค์ว่า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และรับสั่งว่า
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 `องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าว่า จงนั่งที่ขวามือของเรา จนกว่าเราจะกระทำให้ศัตรูของท่านเป็นแท่นรองเท้าของท่าน'
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 ถ้าดาวิดเรียกพระองค์ว่าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระองค์จะเป็นเพียงเชื้อสายของดาวิดอย่างไรได้"
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 ไม่มีผู้หนึ่งผู้ใดอาจตอบพระองค์สักคำหนึ่ง ตั้งแต่วันนั้นมา ไม่มีใครกล้าซักถามพระองค์ต่อไป
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
