¹ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

³ Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler,

³ Pois ele o livrará das armadilhas da vida e o protegerá de doenças mortais.

⁴ He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth

⁴ Ele o cobrirá com as suas penas e o abrigará sob as suas asas; a sua fidelidade é armadura e proteção.

⁵ Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;

⁵ Não tenha medo dos terrores da noite, nem da flecha que voa durante o dia.

⁶ Não tema a praga que se aproxima na escuridão, nem a calamidade que devasta ao meio-dia.

⁷ A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand;

⁸ Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
