1 To the Chief Musician, altaschith. A michtam of David, when he fled from Saul into the cave. Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in you: yea, in the shadow of your wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities have passed.
1 Ao Músico-chefe, Al-Tachete, Mictã de Davi, quando ele fugiu de Saul para a caverna. Sê misericordioso para comigo, ó Deus, sê misericordioso para comigo, pois minha alma confia em ti; sim, na sombra das tuas asas eu farei o meu refúgio, até que estas calamidades tenham passado.
2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God who performs all things for me.
2 Clamarei ao Deus Altíssimo; ao Deus que realiza todas as coisas por mim.
3 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
3 Ele enviará do céu, e me salvará da vergonha daquele que quer me engolir. Selá. Deus enviará a sua misericórdia e a sua verdade.
4 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
4 Minha alma está entre leões, e eu estou entre aqueles que são incendiados, os filhos dos homens, cujos dentes são lanças e flechas, e a sua língua uma espada afiada.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be above all the earth.
5 Sê tu exaltado, ó Deus, sobre os céus; que a tua glória esteja sobre toda a terra.
6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they are fallen themselves. Selah.
6 Eles prepararam uma rede para os meus passos; minha alma está prostrada. Cavaram uma cova diante de mim, no meio dela eles mesmos caíram. Selá.
7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
7 Meu coração está firme, ó Deus, meu coração está firme; eu cantarei e darei louvores.
8 Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
8 Acorda, minha glória; acordai, saltério e harpa. Eu acordarei cedo.
9 I will praise you, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto you among the nations.
9 Te louvarei, ó Senhor, entre os povos; eu cantarei a ti entre as nações.
10 For your mercy is great unto the heavens, and your truth unto the clouds.
10 Pois a tua misericórdia é grande até os céus, e a tua verdade até as nuvens.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens: let your glory be above all the earth.
11 Sê tu exaltado, ó Deus, sobre os céus; esteja a tua glória sobre toda a terra.
