1 To the Chief Musician on neginoth, a maschil. A Song of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not yourself from my supplication.
1 Ouve minha oração, ó Deus! Não ignores meu clamor por socorro!
2 Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
2 Ouve-me e responde-me, pois estou sobrecarregado e confuso.
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
3 Meus inimigos gritam contra mim e fazem ameaças perversas. Sobre mim trazem desgraças e me perseguem furiosamente.
4 My heart is greatly pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
4 Dentro do peito, meu coração acelera; o terror da morte se apodera de mim.
5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror has overwhelmed me.
5 Sou tomado de medo e pânico, e não consigo parar de tremer.
6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
6 Quem dera eu tivesse asas como a pomba; voaria para longe e encontraria descanso.
7 Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
7 Sim, fugiria para bem longe, para o sossego do deserto. Interlúdio
8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
8 Sim, eu me apressaria em escapar para um lugar distante do vendaval e da tempestade.
9 Destroy, O Lord, and confuse their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
9 Confunde-os, Senhor, e frustra seus planos, pois vejo violência e conflito na cidade.
10 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
10 Dia e noite os muros são guardados de invasores, mas a perversidade e a maldade estão do lado de dentro.
11 Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
11 Tudo está desmoronando; ameaça e engano correm soltos pelas ruas.
12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
12 Não é meu inimigo que me insulta; se fosse, eu poderia suportar. Não são meus adversários que se levantam contra mim; deles eu poderia me esconder.
13 But it was you, a man my equal, my guide, and my close friend.
13 Antes, é você, meu igual, meu companheiro e amigo chegado.
14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
14 Como era agradável a comunhão que desfrutávamos quando acompanhávamos a multidão à casa de Deus!
15 Let death seize upon them, and let them go down alive into the grave: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
15 Que a morte apanhe meus inimigos de surpresa; que desçam vivos à sepultura, pois a maldade mora dentro deles.
16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
16 Eu, porém, invocarei a Deus, e o S
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
17 Pela manhã, ao meio-dia e à noite, clamo angustiado, e ele ouve minha voz.
18 He has delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many against me.
18 Ele me resgata e me mantém a salvo na batalha, embora muitos ainda estejam contra mim.
19 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abides of old. Selah. Because they do not change, therefore they fear not God.
19 Deus, que governa desde a eternidade, me ouvirá e lhes dará o que merecem. Interlúdio Pois meus inimigos não querem mudar sua conduta; eles não temem a Deus.
20 He has put forth his hands against such as were at peace with him: he has broken his covenant.
20 Quanto a meu companheiro, ele traiu seus amigos e não cumpriu suas promessas.
21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
21 Sua fala é macia como manteiga, mas em seu coração há guerra. Suas palavras são suaves como azeite, mas na verdade são punhais.
22 Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
22 Entregue suas aflições ao S enhor , e ele cuidará de você; jamais permitirá que o justo tropece e caia.
23 But you, O God, shall bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in you.
23 Tu, porém, ó Deus, lançarás os perversos no abismo de destruição. Assassinos e mentirosos morrerão ainda jovens, mas eu sempre confiarei em ti.
