1 A song of ascents. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides forever.
1 Aqueles que confiam em Deus, o Senhor , são como o que não pode ser abalado, mas continua sempre firme.
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from this time forth even forever.
2 Como as montanhas estão em volta de Jerusalém, assim o do seu povo, agora e sempre.
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
3 Os maus não governarão para sempre a terra do povo de Deus; se os maus governassem, até os bons começariam a fazer o mal.
4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
4 Ó Senhor Deus, sê bondoso para aqueles que são bons, para os que obedecem aos teus mandamentos!
5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
5 Porém, quando castigares os maus, castiga também aqueles que abandonam os teus caminhos. Que a paz esteja com o povo de Israel!
