1 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet on Shigionoth.
1 Esta é uma oração do profeta Habacuque, feita em forma de hino.
2 O LORD, I have heard your speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
2 Ó Senhor , ouvi falar do que tens feito e estou cheio de Faze agora, em nosso tempo, as coisas maravilhosas que fizeste no passado, para que nós também as vejamos. Mesmo que estejas tem compaixão de nós!
3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
3 Deus vem vindo da terra de Edom, o Santo Deus vem do monte Parã. A sua e na terra todos o louvam.
4 And his brightness was as the light; he had rays flashing out of his hand: and there was his power hidden.
4 Ele brilha como a luz, e raios de luz saltam da sua mão, onde se esconde o seu poder.
5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning fever went forth at his feet.
5 Na frente dele vão pragas terríveis, e atrás vêm doenças mortais.
6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.
6 Ele para, e a terra treme; ele olha para as nações, e elas ficam com medo. Os montes antigos se abalam, caem as velhas montanhas por onde ele tem andado desde a eternidade.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.
7 Vi que os povos de Cuchã estão aflitos e que os moradores de Midiã estão com medo.
8 Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was your anger against the rivers? was your wrath against the sea, that you did ride upon your horses and your chariots of salvation?
8 É contra os rios, ó Senhor , que estás irado? É contra o mar que estás furioso? É por isso que montas os teus cavalos e vens vitorioso no teu carro de guerra?
9 Your bow was made quite ready, according to the oaths over your arrows. Selah. You did divide the earth with rivers.
9 Pegas o teu arco e te preparas para atirar as tuas flechas. Tu cavas a terra com enchentes.
10 The mountains saw you, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered its voice, and lifted up its hands on high.
10 As montanhas te viram e tremeram; uma tromba-d'água caiu do céu. As águas debaixo da terra rugiram; as suas ondas imensas se levantaram.
11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of your arrows they went, and at the shining of your glittering spear.
11 O sol e a lua deixaram de brilhar quando viram o brilho das tuas flechas e a luz brilhante da tua lança.
12 You did march through the land in indignation, you did trample the nations in anger.
12 Na tua ira, marchaste pela terra inteira, na tua fúria, pisaste as nações.
13 You went forth for the salvation of your people, even for salvation with your anointed; you wounded the head out of the house of the wicked, by laying bare from the foundation to the neck. Selah.
13 Saíste para salvar o teu povo, para salvar o rei que escolheste. Feriste o chefe dos maus e acabaste completamente com o seu exército.
14 You did thrust through with his own arrows the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was like devouring the poor secretly.
14 Com as tuas flechas, mataste o comandante dos soldados quando avançavam como uma tempestade para nos atacar; eles vinham orgulhosos, querendo nos destruir como quem mata um pobre em segredo.
15 You did walk through the sea with your horses, through the heap of great waters.
15 Montado nos teus cavalos marchaste pelo mar, pelas ondas furiosas do mar.
16 When I heard, my body trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he comes up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.
16 Quando ouvi tudo isso, fiquei assustado, e os meus lábios tremeram de medo. Perdi todas as forças e não pude ficar de pé. Portanto, vou esperar, tranquilo, o dia em que Deus castigará aqueles que nos atacam.
17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be on the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
17 Ainda que as figueiras não produzam frutas, e as ainda que não haja azeitonas para apanhar nem trigo para colher; ainda que não haja mais ovelhas nos campos nem gado nos currais,
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
18 mesmo assim eu darei graças ao Senhor e louvarei a Deus, o meu Salvador.
19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like deer’s feet, and he will make me walk upon my high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
19 O Senhor Deus é a minha força. Ele torna o meu andar firme como o de uma e me leva para as montanhas, onde estarei seguro.
