1 Why do the Gentiles rage, and the peoples imagine a vain thing?
1 Por que as nações pagãs planejam revoltas? Por que os povos fazem planos tão tolos?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his anointed, [saying],
2 Os seus reis se preparam, e os seus governantes fazem planos contra Deus, o e o rei que ele escolheu.
3 let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us.
3 Esses rebeldes dizem: “Vamos nos livrar do domínio deles; acabemos com o poder que eles têm sobre nós.”
4 He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
4 Do seu trono lá no céu o Senhor ri e zomba deles.
5 Then he shall speak unto them in his wrath and trouble them in his sore displeasure.
5 Então, muito irado , ele os ameaça e os assusta com o seu furor.
6 Yet I have set my king upon Zion, the mountain of my holiness.
6 Ele diz: “Já coloquei o meu rei no trono lá em
7 I will declare the decree; the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day I have begotten thee.
7 O rei diz: “Anunciarei o que o O ‘Você é meu filho; hoje eu me tornei seu pai.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give [thee] the Gentiles [for] thine inheritance and [unto] the uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession.
8 Peça, e eu lhe darei todas as nações; o mundo inteiro será seu.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
9 Com uma barra de ferro, você as quebrará e as fará em pedaços como se fossem potes de barro.’ ”
10 Understand now therefore, O ye kings: receive chastening, ye judges of the earth.
10 Agora escutem, ó reis; prestem atenção, autoridades!
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
11 Adorem o Senhor com temor . Tremam e se ajoelhem diante dele;
12 Kiss the Son lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way when his wrath is kindled in a little [while]. Blessed [are] all those that put their trust in him.:
12 se não, ele ficará irado logo, e vocês morrerão. Felizes são aqueles que buscam a proteção de Deus!
