Oséias 10
English Jubilee 2000 Bible (JUBL2000) vs NVI
1 Israel [is] an empty vine. Shall he bring forth fruit unto himself? According to the multiplication of his fruit he has multiplied altars; according to the goodness of his land they have bettered their statues.
1 Israel era como videira viçosa; cobria-se de frutos. Quanto mais produzia, mais altares construía; Quanto mais sua terra prosperava, mais enfeitava suas colunas sagradas.
2 Their heart has wandered; now they shall be found guilty: he shall break down their altars, he shall destroy their statues.
2 O coração deles é enganoso, e agora devem carregar sua culpa. O Senhor demolirá os seus altares e destruirá suas colunas sagradas.
3 For now they shall say, We have no king, because we did not fear the LORD; what then should a king do to us?
3 Então eles dirão: "Não temos nenhum rei porque não reverenciamos o Senhor. Mas, mesmo que tivéssemos um rei, o que ele poderia fazer por nós? "
4 They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment shall spring up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
4 Eles fazem muitas promessas, fazem juramentos e acordos falsos; por isso brotam processos judiciais como ervas venenosas num campo arado.
5 The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn because of the calf, and the religious [persons] thereof [that] rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, which shall be made to vanish away.
5 O povo que mora em Samaria teme pelo ídolo em forma de bezerro de Bete-Áven. Seu povo pranteará por ele, como também os seus sacerdotes idólatras, que se regozijavam por seu esplendor; porque foi tirado deles e levado para o exílio.
6 It shall be also carried unto Assyria [for] a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall be ashamed, and Israel shall be confused at his own counsel.
6 Sim, até ele será levado para a Assíria como tributo para o grande rei. Efraim sofrerá humilhação; e Israel será envergonhado pelo seu ídolo de madeira.
7 [As for] Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the surface of the waters.
7 Samaria e seu rei serão arrastados como um graveto nas águas.
8 And the altars of Aven shall be destroyed, the sin of Israel: the thorn and the thistle shall grow upon their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
8 Os altares da impiedade, que foram os pecados de Israel, serão destruídos. Espinhos e ervas daninhas crescerão e cobrirão os seus altares. Então eles dirão aos montes: "Cubram-nos! ", e às colinas: "Caiam sobre nós! "
9 O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah; there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the sons of iniquity did not overtake them.
9 "Desde os dias de Gibeá, você tem pecado, ó Israel, e não mudou. Acaso a guerra não os alcançou em Gibeá por causa dos malfeitores?
10 And I shall chastise them as I desire; and [the] peoples shall gather themselves over them, when they shall be bound in their two furrows.
10 Quando eu quiser, os castigarei; nações serão reunidas contra eles para prendê-los por causa do seu duplo pecado.
11 Ephraim [is] a heifer [that is] taught [and] loves to tread out [the wheat]; but I shall pass over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to draw; Judah shall plow, [and] Jacob shall break his clods.
11 Efraim era bezerra treinada, gostava muito de trilhar; por isso colocarei o jugo sobre o seu belo pescoço. Conduzirei Efraim, Judá terá que arar, e Jacó fará sulcos no solo.
12 Sow yourselves unto righteousness, reap yourselves unto mercy; break up your fallow ground: for [it is] the time to seek the LORD until he comes and teaches you righteousness.
12 Semeiem a retidão para si, colham o fruto da lealdade, e façam sulcos no seu solo não arado; pois é hora de buscar o Senhor, até que ele venha e faça chover justiça sobre vocês.
13 Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye shall eat the fruit of lies because thou didst trust in thy way [and] in the multitude of thy mighty men.
13 Mas vocês plantaram a impiedade, colheram o mal e comeram o fruto do engano. Visto que vocês têm confiado na sua própria força e nos seus muitos guerreiros,
14 Therefore, in thy peoples a tumult shall arise, and all thy fortresses shall be destroyed, as Shalman destroyed Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon [her] sons.
14 o fragor da batalha se levantará contra vocês, de maneira que todas as suas fortalezas serão devastadas, como Salmã devastou Bete-Arbel no dia da batalha, quando mães foram pisadas e estraçalhadas junto com seus filhos.
15 So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness; in the morning the king of Israel shall utterly be cut off.:
15 Assim acontecerá com você, ó Betel, porque a sua impiedade é grande. Quando amanhecer aquele dia, o rei de Israel será completamente destruído.
