¹ Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from the terror of the enemy.

¹ Ouve, ó Deus, a minha voz na minha oração; livra a minha vida do horror do inimigo.

² Hide me from the council of evil-doers; from the tumult of the workers of iniquity;

² Esconde-me do secreto conselho dos maus e do tumulto dos que praticam a iniquidade,

³ Who have whet their tongue like a sword, and have aimed their arrow, a poisoned word;

³ os quais afiaram a sua língua como espadas; e armaram, por suas flechas, palavras amargas,

⁴ That they may shoot in secret places at the blameless; suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

⁴ para de lugares ocultos atirarem sobre o que é reto; disparam sobre ele repentinamente e não temem.

⁵ They encourage one another in an evil matter; they converse of laying snares secretly; they ask, who would see them.

⁵ Firmam-se em mau intento; falam de armar laços secretamente e dizem: Quem nos verá?

⁶ They search out iniquities, they have accomplished a diligent search; even in the inward thought of every one, and the deep heart.

⁶ Fazem indagações maliciosas, inquirem tudo o que se pode inquirir; até o íntimo de cada um e o profundo coração.

⁷ But God doth shoot at them with an arrow suddenly; thence are their wounds.

⁷ Mas Deus disparará sobre eles uma seta, e de repente ficarão feridos.

⁸ So they make their own tongue a stumbling unto themselves; all that see them shake the head.

⁸ Assim, eles farão com que a sua língua se volte contra si mesmos; todos aqueles que os virem, fugirão.

⁹ And all men fear; and they declare the work of God, and understand His doing.

⁹ E todos os homens temerão e anunciarão a obra de Deus; e considerarão prudentemente os seus feitos.

¹⁰ The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall take refuge in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

¹⁰ O justo se alegrará no Senhor e confiará nele; e todos os retos de coração se regozijarão.
