¹ Only for God doth my soul wait in stillness; from Him cometh my salvation.

¹ Somente em Deus, ó minha alma, espera silenciosa; dele vem a minha salvação.

² He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower, I shall not be greatly moved.

² Só ele é a minha rocha, e a minha salvação, e o meu alto refúgio; não serei muito abalado.

³ How long will ye set upon a man, that ye may slay him, all of you, as a leaning wall, a tottering fence?

³ Até quando acometereis vós a um homem, todos vós, para o derribardes, como se fosse uma parede pendida ou um muro prestes a cair?

⁴ They only devise to thrust him down from his height, delighting in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah

⁴ Só pensam em derribá-lo da sua dignidade; na mentira se comprazem; de boca bendizem, porém no interior maldizem.

⁵ Only for God wait thou in stillness, my soul; for from Him cometh my hope.

⁵ Somente em Deus, ó minha alma, espera silenciosa, porque dele vem a minha esperança.

⁶ He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower, I shall not be moved.

⁶ Só ele é a minha rocha, e a minha salvação, e o meu alto refúgio; não serei jamais abalado.

⁷ Upon God resteth my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

⁷ De Deus dependem a minha salvação e a minha glória; estão em Deus a minha forte rocha e o meu refúgio.

⁸ Trust in Him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

⁸ Confiai nele, ó povo, em todo tempo; derramai perante ele o vosso coração; Deus é o nosso refúgio.

⁹ Men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie; if they be laid in the balances, they are together lighter than vanity.

⁹ Somente vaidade são os homens plebeus; falsidade, os de fina estirpe; pesados em balança, eles juntos são mais leves que a vaidade.

¹⁰ Trust not in oppression, and put not vain hope in robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart thereon.

¹⁰ Não confieis naquilo que extorquis, nem vos vanglorieis na rapina; se as vossas riquezas prosperam, não ponhais nelas o coração.

¹¹ God hath spoken once, twice have I heard this: that strength belongeth unto God;

¹¹ Uma vez falou Deus, duas vezes ouvi isto: Que o poder pertence a Deus,

¹² Also unto Thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy; for Thou renderest to every man according to his work.

¹² e a ti, Senhor, pertence a graça, pois a cada um retribuis segundo as suas obras.
