1 BOOK I HAPPY IS the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.
1 Felizes são aqueles que não se deixam levar pelos conselhos dos maus, que não seguem o exemplo dos que não querem saber de Deus e que não se juntam com os que zombam de tudo o que é sagrado!
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
2 Pelo contrário, o prazer deles está na e nessa lei eles meditam dia e noite.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.
3 Essas pessoas são como árvores que crescem na beira de um riacho; elas dão frutas no tempo certo, e as suas folhas não murcham. Assim também tudo o que essas pessoas fazem dá certo.
4 Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
4 O mesmo não acontece com os maus; eles são como a palha que o vento leva.
5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
5 No Dia do Juízo eles serão condenados e ficarão separados dos que obedecem a Deus.
6 For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.
6 Pois o Senhor dirige e abençoa a vida daqueles que lhe obedecem, porém o fim dos maus são a desgraça e a morte.
