¹ A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths have I called Thee, O LORD.

¹ Das profundezas clamo a ti, Senhor .

² Lord, hearken unto my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

² Escuta, Senhor, a minha voz; estejam alertas os teus ouvidos às minhas súplicas.

³ If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

³ Se observares, Senhor , iniquidades, quem, Senhor, subsistirá?

⁴ For with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.

⁴ Contigo, porém, está o perdão, para que te temam.

⁵ I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.

⁵ Aguardo o Senhor , a minha alma o aguarda; eu espero na sua palavra.

⁶ My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning.

⁶ A minha alma anseia pelo Senhor mais do que os guardas pelo romper da manhã. Mais do que os guardas pelo romper da manhã,

⁷ O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.

⁷ espere Israel no Senhor , pois no nele, copiosa redenção.

⁸ And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

⁸ É ele quem redime a Israel de todas as suas iniquidades.
