1 A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back those that returned to Zion, we were like unto them that dream.
1 Quando o Senhor trouxe do cativeiro os que voltaram a Sião, estávamos como os que sonham.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then said they among the nations: 'The LORD hath done great things with these.'
2 Então, a nossa boca se encheu de riso, e a nossa língua, de cânticos; então, se dizia entre as nações: Grandes coisas fez o Senhor a estes.
3 The LORD hath done great things with us; we are rejoiced.
3 Grandes coisas fez o Senhor por nós, e, por isso, estamos alegres.
4 Turn our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the dry land.
4 Faze-nos regressar outra vez do cativeiro, Senhor , como as correntes do Sul.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
5 Os que semeiam em lágrimas segarão com alegria.
6 Though he goeth on his way weeping that beareth the measure of seed, he shall come home with joy, bearing his sheaves.
6 Aquele que leva a preciosa semente, andando e chorando, voltará, sem dúvida, com alegria, trazendo consigo os seus molhos.
