1 And the LORD said unto me: 'Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend and an adulteress, even as the LORD loveth the children of Israel, though they turn unto other gods, and love cakes of raisins.
1 E o SENHOR me disse: Vai outra vez, ama uma mulher, amada de seu amigo, contudo adúltera, como o SENHOR ama os filhos de Israel, embora eles olhem para outros deuses, e amem os bolos de uvas.
2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer of barley, and a half-homer of barley;
2 E comprei-a para mim por quinze peças de prata, e um ômer, e meio ômer de cevada;
3 and I said unto her: 'Thou shalt sit solitary for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be any man's wife; nor will I be thine.'
3 E ele lhe disse: Tu ficarás comigo muitos dias; não te prostituirás, nem serás de outro homem; assim também eu esperarei por ti.
4 For the children of Israel shall sit solitary many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without pillar, and without ephod or teraphim;
4 Porque os filhos de Israel ficarão por muitos dias sem rei, e sem príncipe, e sem sacrifício, e sem estátua, e sem éfode ou terafim.
5 afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall come trembling unto the LORD and to His goodness in the end of days.
5 Depois tornarão os filhos de Israel, e buscarão ao Senhor seu Deus, e a Davi, seu rei; e temerão ao Senhor, e à sua bondade, no fim dos dias.
