1 THE WORD of the LORD that came unto Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
1 Palavra do Senhor que foi dirigida a Oseias, filho de Beeri, nos dias de Uzias, Jotão, Acaz e Ezequias, reis de Judá, e nos dias de Jeroboão, filho de Joás, rei de Israel.
2 When the LORD spoke at first with Hosea, the LORD said unto Hosea: 'Go, take unto thee a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry; for the land doth commit great harlotry, departing from the LORD.'
2 Quando, pela primeira vez, o Senhor falou por meio de Oseias, o Senhor lhe disse: — Vá e case com uma prostituta, e tenha com ela filhos de uma prostituta. Porque a terra se prostituiu, desviando-se do
3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived, and bore him a son.
3 Então Oseias foi e casou com Gômer, filha de Diblaim, que ficou grávida e lhe deu um filho.
4 And the LORD said unto him: 'Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will visit the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.
4 E o Senhor disse a Oseias: — Ponha nele o nome de Jezreel, porque daqui a pouco castigarei a casa de Jeú por causa do sangue derramado em Jezreel. Vou acabar com o reino da casa de Israel.
5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.'
5 Naquele dia, quebrarei o arco de Israel no vale de Jezreel.
6 And she conceived again, and bore a daughter. And He said unto him: 'Call her name Lo-ruhamah; for I will no more have compassion upon the house of Israel, that I should in any wise pardon them.
6 Gômer ficou grávida outra vez e deu à luz uma filha. Então o Senhor disse a Oseias: — Ponha nela o nome de Lo-Ruamá, porque não voltarei a ter compaixão da casa de Israel, para lhe perdoar.
7 But I will have compassion upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.'
7 Porém da casa de Judá eu terei compaixão e os salvarei pelo Senhor , seu Deus. Porque não os salvarei pelo arco, nem pela espada, nem pela guerra, nem pelos cavalos, nem pelos cavaleiros.
8 Now when she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived, and bore a son.
8 Depois de ter desmamado Lo-Ruamá, Gômer ficou grávida mais uma vez e deu à luz um filho.
9 And He said: 'Call his name Lo-ammi; for ye are not My people, and I will not be yours.'
9 E o Senhor disse: — Ponha nele o nome de Lo-Ami, porque vocês não são o meu povo, nem eu serei o seu Deus.
10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, instead of that which was said unto them: 'Ye are not My people', it shall be said unto them: 'Ye are the children of the living God.'
10 Todavia, o número dos filhos de Israel será como a areia do mar, que não se pode medir, nem contar. E acontecerá que, no lugar em que lhes foi dito: “Vocês não são o meu povo”, ali mesmo se dirá a eles: “Vocês são filhos do Deus vivo.”
11 And the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall go up out of the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
11 Os filhos de Judá e os filhos de Israel serão reunidos, e constituirão sobre si uma só cabeça. Eles se levantarão da terra, porque grande será o dia de Jezreel.
