Isaías 49

¹ Listen, O isles, unto me, and hearken, ye peoples, from far: the LORD hath called me from the womb, from the bowels of my mother hath He made mention of my name;

¹ Ouçam, ó ilhas, a mim, e escutai vós povos, de longe; o SENHOR me tem chamado desde o útero. Desde o ventre de minha mãe tem ele feito menção do meu nome.

² And He hath made my mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of His hand hath He hid me; and He hath made me a polished shaft, in His quiver hath He concealed me;

² E ele tem feito minha boca como uma espada afiada; na sombra de sua mão ele me tem escondido e feito de mim uma lança polida; em sua aljava ele me tem escondido.

³ And He said unto me: 'Thou art My servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.'

³ E disse-me: Tu és meu servo, ó Israel, em quem eu serei glorificado.

⁴ But I said: 'I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought and vanity; yet surely my right is with the LORD, and my recompense with my God.'

⁴ Então eu disse: Eu tenho trabalhado em vão. Eu tenho gasto minha força por nada e em vão. Contudo, certamente meu julgamento está com o SENHOR e minha obra com o meu Deus.

⁵ And now saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob back to Him, and that Israel be gathered unto Him--for I am honourable in the eyes of the LORD, and my God is become my strength--

⁵ E, agora, diz o SENHOR, que me formou desde o útero para ser seu servo, para trazer Jacó novamente para Ele: Embora Israel não esteja reunido, contudo, eu serei honrado aos olhos do SENHOR e meu Deus será minha força.

⁶ Yea, He saith: 'It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the offspring of Israel; I will also give thee for a light of the nations, that My salvation may be unto the end of the earth.'

⁶ E Ele disse: Isto é uma coisa de pouca importância, que tu sejas meu servo para levantar as tribos de Jacó e para restaurar os preservados de Israel. Eu também darei a ti por luz para os gentios a fim de que tu possas ser minha salvação até o fim da terra.

⁷ Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One, to him who is despised of men, to him who is abhorred of nations, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise, princes, and they shall prostrate themselves; because of the LORD that is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.

⁷ Assim diz o SENHOR, o Redentor de Israel e seu Santo, para aquele a quem o homem despreza, para ele a quem a nação detesta, para um servo de governantes: Reis verão e levantar-se-ão, príncipes também adorarão, por causa do SENHOR, que é fiel, e do Santo de Israel; e ele te escolherá.

⁸ Thus saith the LORD: In an acceptable time have I answered thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

⁸ Assim diz o SENHOR: Em um momento aceitável tenho eu te ouvido e num dia de salvação tenho eu te ajudado: E eu te preservarei e dar-te-ei por um pacto do povo, para governar a terra, para fazer herdar as heranças desoladas.

⁹ Saying to the prisoners: 'Go forth'; to them that are in darkness: 'Show yourselves'; they shall feed in the ways, and in all high hills shall be their pasture;

⁹ Porque tu podes dizer aos prisioneiros: Saiam; para aqueles que estão na escuridão: Mostrem-se. Eles se alimentarão nos caminhos e suas pastagens serão em todos os lugares altos.

¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst, neither shall the heat nor sun smite them; for He that hath compassion on them will lead them, even by the springs of water will He guide them.

¹⁰ Eles não terão fome nem sede, nem o calor e nem o sol os afligirá, porque Ele tem tido misericórdia deles e os conduzirá, pelas fontes de águas Ele os guiará.

¹¹ And I will make all My mountains a way, and My highways shall be raised on high.

¹¹ E eu tornarei todos os meus montes um caminho, e minhas estradas serão exaltadas.

¹² Behold, these shall come from far; and, lo, these from the north and from the west, and these from the land of Sinim.

¹² Eis que estes virão de longe. E, vejam, estes desde o norte e do oeste, e estes desde a terra de Sinim.

¹³ Sing, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and break forth into singing, O mountains; for the LORD hath comforted His people, and hath compassion upon His afflicted.

¹³ Cantem, ó céus, e esteja feliz, ó terra, e irrompam em canto, ó monte, porque o SENHOR tem confortado seu povo e tem misericórdia sobre seu afligido.

¹⁴ But Zion said: 'The LORD hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.'

¹⁴ Sião, porém, diz: O SENHOR me tem abandonado e meu Senhor se tem esquecido de mim.

¹⁵ Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee.

¹⁵ Pode uma mulher esquecer sua criança que mama, que não teria compaixão do filho de seu útero? Sim, elas podem esquecer, contudo, Eu não esquecerei de ti.

¹⁶ Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; thy walls are continually before Me.

¹⁶ Eis que, eu te tenho gravado nas palmas de minhas mãos; teus muros estão continuamente diante de mim.

¹⁷ Thy children make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth from thee.

¹⁷ Teus filhos se apressarão; teus destruidores e aqueles que te fizeram deserta sairão de ti.

¹⁸ Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all as with an ornament, and gird thyself with them, like a bride.

¹⁸ Ergue teus olhos em todas as direções ao teu redor, e observa. Todos estes reunir-se-ão e virão a ti. Como Eu vivo, diz o SENHOR, tu certamente te vestirás de todos eles, como com um ornamento, e os amarrarás a ti como uma noiva faz.

¹⁹ For thy waste and thy desolate places and thy land that hath been destroyed--surely now shalt thou be too strait for the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.

¹⁹ Porque teus lugares abandonados e desolados, e a terra de tua destruição, serão agora muito estreitas por causa dos habitantes; e aqueles que te assolaram estarão distantes.

²⁰ The children of thy bereavement shall yet say in thine ears: 'The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.'

²⁰ Os filhos que tu terás, após tu teres perdido o outro, dirão novamente aos teus ouvidos: O lugar é muito estreito para mim. Dá-me lugar a fim de que eu possa habitar.

²¹ Then shalt thou say in thy heart: 'Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering to and fro? And who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?'

²¹ Então, tu dirás em teu coração: Quem tem feito a mim gerar estes, visto que eu tenho perdido meus filhos e estou desolada, uma cativa e mudando-me de lá para cá? E quem tem criado estes até a idade adulta? Eis que eu fui deixada sozinha. Estes, onde têm estado?

²² Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations, and set up Mine ensign to the peoples, and they shall bring thy sons in their bosom, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.

²² Assim diz o Senhor DEUS. Eis que Eu erguerei minha mão para os gentios e levantarei minha bandeira para os povos. E eles trarão teus filhos em seus braços e tuas filhas serão carregadas sobre seus ombros.

²³ And kings shall be thy foster-fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers; they shall bow down to thee with their face to the earth, and lick the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD, for they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me.

²³ E reis serão teus pais adotivos e suas rainhas tuas mães adotivas. Eles curvar-se-ão diante de ti com suas faces em direção à terra e lamberão completamente o pó de teus pés. E tu conhecerás que Eu sou o SENHOR, porquanto, aqueles que esperam por mim não serão envergonhados.

²⁴ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the captives of the victorious be delivered?

²⁴ Será a presa tomada do poderoso, ou o que legalmente foi feito cativo, libertado?

²⁵ But thus saith the LORD: Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; and I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

²⁵ Porém, assim diz o SENHOR: Os cativos do poderoso serão tomados e a presa do terrível será libertada, pois eu irei lutar contra aquele que lutar contra ti; e eu salvarei teus filhos.

²⁶ And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine; and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

²⁶ E eu alimentarei aqueles que te oprimem com suas próprias carnes. E eles estarão embriagados com seu próprio sangue, como com doce vinho. E toda carne saberá que Eu, o SENHOR, sou teu Salvador e teu Redentor, o Poderoso de Jacó.
