Ezequiel 28

¹ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:

¹ Os mercadores dentre as pessoas assobiarão para ti; tu serás um terror, e nunca mais existirás.

² 'Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said: I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the heart of the seas; yet thou art man, and not God, though thou didst set thy heart as the heart of God--

² Filho do homem, dize ao príncipe de Tiro: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Porquanto o teu coração está elevado e tu disseste: Eu sou Deus; eu me assento no lugar de Deus, no meio dos mares; porém tu és homem, e não Deus, embora estabeleças teu coração como o coração de Deus;

³ Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel! there is no secret that they can hide from thee!

³ eis que tu és mais sábio do que Daniel; e não há segredo que eles possam esconder de ti.

⁴ By thy wisdom and by thy discernment thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures;

⁴ Com a tua sabedoria e com teu entendimento conseguiste para ti riquezas, e conseguiste ouro e prata para os teus tesouros.

⁵ In thy great wisdom by thy traffic hast thou increased thy riches, and thy heart is lifted up because of thy riches--

⁵ Pela tua grande sabedoria e pelo teu comércio aumentaste as tuas riquezas; e o teu coração está elevado por causa das tuas riquezas;

⁶ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thou hast set thy heart as the heart of God;

⁶ portanto, assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Porquanto tu puseste o teu coração, como o coração de Deus,

⁷ Therefore, behold, I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

⁷ eis que, portanto, eu trarei estranhos sobre ti, os terríveis das nações, e eles desembainharão as suas espadas contra a beleza da tua sabedoria, e eles corromperão o teu brilho.

⁸ They shall bring thee down to the pit; and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain, in the heart of the seas.

⁸ Eles te derrubarão até a cova, e tu morrerás as mortes daqueles que são mortos no meio dos mares.

⁹ Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee: I am God? But thou art man, and not God, in the hand of them that defile thee.

⁹ Tu dirás: Eu sou Deus, diante daquele que te mata? Mas tu serás homem, e não Deus, na mão daquele que te mata.

¹⁰ Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers; for I have spoken, saith the Lord GOD.'

¹⁰ Tu morrerás as mortes dos incircuncisos pela mão de estranhos, porque eu o falei, diz o Senhor DEUS.

¹¹ Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:

¹¹ Além disso, a palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:

¹² 'Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say unto him: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Thou seal most accurate, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty,

¹² Filho do homem, levanta uma lamentação sobre o rei de Tiro, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Tu selaste a soma, cheio de sabedoria e perfeito em beleza.

¹³ thou wast in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the carnelian, the topaz, and the emerald, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the carbuncle, and the smaragd, and gold; the workmanship of thy settings and of thy sockets was in thee, in the day that thou wast created they were prepared.

¹³ Tu estiveste no Éden, o jardim de Deus; toda a pedra preciosa era a tua cobertura: sardônia, topázio, diamante, turquesa, ônix, jaspe, safira, carbúnculo, esmeralda e ouro; os trabalhos de teus pandeiros e das tuas flautas foram preparados em ti no dia em que foste criado.

¹⁴ Thou wast the far-covering cherub; and I set thee, so that thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of stones of fire.

¹⁴ Tu és o querubim ungido que cobre, e eu te estabeleci assim; tu estiveste sobre o santo monte de Deus, caminhaste para cima e para baixo no meio das pedras de fogo.

¹⁵ Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till unrighteousness was found in thee.

¹⁵ Tu eras perfeito nos teus caminhos, desde o dia em que foste criado, até que se achou iniquidade em ti.

¹⁶ By the multitude of thy traffic they filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned; therefore have I cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God; and I have destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

¹⁶ Por causa da amplitude das tuas contratações foste cheio de iniquidades, e pecaste; por isso eu te lançarei como profano para fora do monte de Deus; eu te destruo, ó querubim cobridor, do meio das pedras de fogo.

¹⁷ Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness; I have cast thee to the ground, I have laid thee before kings, that they may gaze upon thee.

¹⁷ O teu coração elevou-se por causa da tua beleza, corrompeste a tua sabedoria por causa do teu brilho; te lançarei por terra, e diante dos reis te coloquei, para que te contemplem.

¹⁸ By the multitude of thine iniquities, in the unrighteousness of thy traffic, thou hast profaned thy sanctuaries; therefore have I brought forth a fire from the midst of thee, it hath devoured thee, and I have turned thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

¹⁸ Então tu contaminaste os teus santuários pela multidão das tuas iniquidades, pela iniquidade do teu comércio; portanto, eu farei sair um fogo do teu meio, ele te devorará, e te trarei às cinzas sobre a terra à vista de todos aqueles que te contemplam.

¹⁹ All they that know thee among the peoples shall be appalled at thee; thou art become a terror, and thou shalt never be any more.'

¹⁹ Todos os que te conhecem entre as pessoas ficarão espantados de ti; tu serás um terror, e nunca mais existirás.

²⁰ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:

²⁰ Novamente, a palavra do SENHOR, veio a mim, dizendo:

²¹ 'Son of man, set thy face toward Zidon, and prophesy against it,

²¹ Filho do homem, põe a tua face contra Sidom, e profetiza contra ela,

²² and say: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of thee; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.

²² e dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Eis que eu estou contra ti, ó Sidom, e eu serei glorificado no meio de ti; e eles saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, quando eu tiver executado juízos nela e for santificado nela.

²³ For I will send into her pestilence and blood in her streets; and the wounded shall fall in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

²³ Porque eu lhe enviarei peste, e o sangue nas suas ruas, e os feridos serão julgados no meio dela, pela espada sobre ela por todo lado; e eles saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.

²⁴ And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor a piercing thorn of any that are round about them, that did have them in disdain; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

²⁴ E não mais haverá espinho que atormente sobre a casa de Israel, nem nenhum espinho que cause dor a todos que estão ao redor dela, que os desprezam; e eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor DEUS.

²⁵ Thus saith the Lord GOD: When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the nations, then shall they dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob.

²⁵ Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Quando eu tiver ajuntado a casa de Israel dentre as pessoas entre as quais estão espalhadas, e eu for santificado por eles à vista dos pagãos, então eles habitarão na sua terra que eu dei ao meu servo Jacó.

²⁶ And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell safely; when I have executed judgments upon all those that have them in disdain round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.'

²⁶ E eles habitarão com segurança nela, e edificarão casas, e plantarão vinhas; sim, eles habitarão com confiança, quando eu tiver executado juízos sobre todos os que os desprezam ao redor deles; e eles saberão que eu sou o SENHOR seu Deus.
