Daniel 12

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time; and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
1 — Nesse tempo, se levantará Miguel, o grande príncipe, o defensor dos filhos do povo de Deus, e haverá tempo de angústia, como nunca houve, desde que existem nações até aquele tempo. Mas, naquele tempo, o povo de Deus será salvo, todo aquele que for achado inscrito no livro.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches and everlasting abhorrence.
2 Muitos dos que dormem no pó da terra ressuscitarão, uns para a vida eterna, outros para vergonha e horror eterno.
3 And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn the many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
3 Os que forem sábios resplandecerão como o fulgor do firmamento, e os que conduzirem muitos à justiça brilharão como as estrelas, sempre e eternamente.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.'
4 Quanto a você, Daniel, encerre as palavras e sele o livro, até o tempo do fim. Muitos correrão de um lado para outro, e o saber se multiplicará.
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on the bank of the river on this side, and the other on the bank of the river on that side.
5 Então eu, Daniel, olhei, e eis que outros dois estavam em pé às margens do rio, um de cada lado.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river: 'How long shall it be to the end of the wonders?'
6 Um deles perguntou ao homem vestido de linho, que estava sobre as águas do rio: — Quando se cumprirão estas maravilhas?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he lifted up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by Him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
7 Então ouvi o homem vestido de linho, que estava sobre as águas do rio. Ele levantou a mão direita e a esquerda ao céu e jurou por aquele que vive eternamente, dizendo: — Passarão um tempo, tempos e metade de um tempo. E, quando tiverem acabado de destruir o poder do povo santo, estas coisas todas se cumprirão.
8 And I heard, but I understood not; then said I: 'O my Lord, what shall be the latter end of these things?'
8 Eu ouvi, mas não entendi. Então perguntei: — Meu senhor, qual será o fim destas coisas?
9 And he said: 'Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed till the time of the end.
9 Ele respondeu: — Siga o seu caminho, Daniel, porque estas palavras estão encerradas e seladas até o tempo do fim.
10 Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but they that are wise shall understand.
10 Muitos serão purificados, limpos e provados, mas os ímpios continuarão na sua impiedade, e nenhum deles entenderá; mas os sábios entenderão.
11 And from the time that the continual burnt-offering shall be taken away, and the detestable thing that causes appalment set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
11 Depois do tempo em que o sacrifício diário for tirado e a abominação desoladora for estabelecida, haverá ainda mil duzentos e noventa dias.
12 Happy is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
12 Bem-aventurado o que espera e chega até mil trezentos e trinta e cinco dias.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be; and thou shalt rest, and shalt stand up to thy lot, at the end of the days.'
13 — Quanto a você, siga o seu caminho até o fim. Você descansará e, ao fim dos dias, se levantará para receber a sua herança.
