1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
1 E sucedeu que no ano de quatrocentos e oitenta, depois de saírem os filhos de Israel do Egito, no ano quarto do reinado de Salomão sobre Israel, no mês de Zive (este é o mês segundo), começou a edificar a casa do SENHOR.
2 And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.
2 E a casa que o rei Salomão edificou ao Senhor era de sessenta côvados de comprimento, e de vinte côvados de largura, e de trinta côvados de altura.
3 And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.
3 E o pórtico diante do templo da casa era de vinte côvados de comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, e de dez côvados de largura diante da casa.
4 And for the house he made windows broad within, and narrow without.
4 E fez para a casa janelas de gelósias fixas.
5 And against the wall of the house he built a side-structure round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the sanctuary; and he made side-chambers round about;
5 E edificou câmaras junto ao muro da casa, contra as paredes da casa, em redor, tanto do templo como do oráculo; e assim lhe fez câmaras laterais em redor.
6 the nethermost story of the side-structure was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for on the outside he made rebatements in the wall of the house round about, that the beams should not have hold in the walls of the house.--
6 A câmara de baixo era de cinco côvados de largura, e a do meio de seis côvados de largura, e a terceira de sete côvados de largura; porque pela parte de fora da casa, em redor, fizera encostos, para que as vigas não se apoiassem nas paredes da casa.
7 For the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.--
7 E edificava-se a casa com pedras preparadas, como as traziam se edificava; de maneira que nem martelo, nem machado, nem nenhum outro instrumento de ferro se ouviu na casa quando a edificavam.
8 The door for the lowest row of chambers was in the right side of the house and they went up by winding stairs into the middle row, and out of the middle into the third.
8 A porta da câmara do meio estava ao lado direito da casa, e por caracóis se subia à do meio, e da do meio à terceira.
9 So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered in the house with planks of cedar over beams.
9 Assim, pois, edificou a casa, e a acabou; e cobriu a casa com pranchões e tabuados de cedro.
10 And he built the stories of the side-structure against all the house, each five cubits high; and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
10 Também edificou as câmaras em volta de toda a casa, de cinco côvados de altura, e as ligou à casa com madeira de cedro.
11 And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying:
11 Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Salomão, dizendo:
12 'As for this house which thou art building, if thou wilt walk in My statutes, and execute Mine ordinances, and keep all My commandments to walk in them; then will I establish My word with thee, which I spoke unto David thy father;
12 Quanto a esta casa que tu edificas, se andares nos meus estatutos, e fizeres os meus juízos, e guardares todos os meus mandamentos, andando neles, confirmarei para contigo a minha palavra, a qual falei a Davi, teu pai;
13 in that I will dwell therein among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel.'
13 E habitarei no meio dos filhos de Israel, e não desampararei o meu povo de Israel.
14 So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
14 Assim edificou Salomão aquela casa, e a acabou.
15 And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar; from the floor of the house unto the joists of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with boards of cypress.
15 Também cobriu as paredes da casa por dentro com tábuas de cedro; desde o soalho da casa até ao teto tudo cobriu com madeira por dentro; e cobriu o soalho da casa com tábuas de cipreste.
16 And he built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor unto the joists; he even built them for himself within, for a Sanctuary, even for the most holy place.
16 Edificou mais vinte côvados de tábuas de cedro nos lados da casa, desde o soalho até às paredes; e por dentro lhas edificou para o oráculo, para o Santo dos Santos.
17 And the house, that is, the temple before the Sanctuary , was forty cubits long.
17 A casa, isto é, o templo anterior tinha quarenta côvados.
18 And the cedar on the house within was carved with knops and open flowers; all was cedar; there was no stone seen.
18 E o cedro da casa por dentro era lavrado de botões e flores abertas; tudo era cedro, pedra nenhuma se via.
19 And he prepared the Sanctuary in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
19 E por dentro da casa, na parte mais interior, preparou o oráculo, para pôr ali a arca da aliança do Senhor.
20 And before the Sanctuary which was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof, overlaid with pure gold, he set an altar, which he covered with cedar.
20 E o oráculo no interior era de vinte côvados de comprimento, e de vinte côvados de largura, e de vinte côvados de altura; e o revestiu de ouro puro; também revestiu de cedro o altar.
21 So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold; and he drew chains of gold across the wall before the Sanctuary; and he overlaid it with gold.
21 E revestiu Salomão a casa por dentro de ouro puro; e com cadeias de ouro pôs uma cortina diante do oráculo, e o revestiu com ouro.
22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished; also the whole altar that belonged to the Sanctuary he overlaid with gold.
22 Assim cobriu de ouro toda a casa, inteiramente; também cobriu de ouro todo o altar que estava diante do oráculo.
23 And in the Sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive-wood, each ten cubits high.
23 E no oráculo fez dois querubins de madeira de oliveira, cada um da altura de dez côvados.
24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub; from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.
24 E uma asa de um querubim era de cinco côvados, e a outra asa do querubim de outros cinco côvados; dez côvados havia desde a extremidade de uma das suas asas até à extremidade da outra das suas asas.
25 And the other cherub was ten cubits; both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.
25 Assim era também de dez côvados o outro querubim; ambos os querubins eram de uma mesma medida e de um mesmo talhe.
26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.
26 A altura de um querubim era de dez côvados, e assim a do outro querubim.
27 And he set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
27 E pôs a estes querubins no meio da casa de dentro; e os querubins estendiam as asas, de maneira que a asa de um tocava na parede, e a asa do outro querubim tocava na outra parede; e as suas asas no meio da casa tocavam uma na outra.
28 And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.
28 E revestiu de ouro os querubins.
29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubim and palm-trees and open flowers, within and without.
29 E todas as paredes da casa, em redor, lavrou de esculturas e entalhes de querubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, por dentro e por fora.
30 And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.
30 Também revestiu de ouro o soalho da casa, por dentro e por fora.
31 And for the entrance of the Sanctuary he made doors of olive-wood, the door-posts within the frame having five angles.
31 E à entrada do oráculo fez portas de madeira de oliveira; o umbral de cima com as ombreiras faziam a quinta parte da parede.
32 And as for the two doors of olive-wood, he carved upon them carvings of cherubim and palm-trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold; and he spread the gold upon the cherubim, and upon the palm-trees.
32 Também as duas portas eram de madeira de oliveira; e lavrou nelas entalhes de querubins, e de palmas, e de flores abertas, os quais revestiu de ouro; também estendeu ouro sobre os querubins e sobre as palmas.
33 So also made he for the entrance of the temple door-posts of olive-wood, within a frame four-square;
33 E assim fez à porta do templo ombreiras de madeira de oliveira, da quarta parte da parede.
34 and two doors of cypress-wood; the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
34 E eram as duas portas de madeira de cipreste; e as duas folhas de uma porta eram dobradiças, assim como eram também dobradiças as duas folhas entalhadas das outras portas.
35 And he carved thereon cherubim and palm-trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted upon the graven work.
35 E as lavrou de querubins e de palmas, e de flores abertas, e as revestiu de ouro acomodado ao lavor.
36 And he built the inner court with three rows of hewn stone, and a row of cedar beams.
36 Também edificou o pátio interior de três ordens de pedras lavradas e de uma ordem de vigas de cedro.
37 In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Ziv.
37 No ano quarto se pôs o fundamento da casa do Senhor, no mês de Zive.
38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.
38 E no ano undécimo, no mês de Bul, que é o mês oitavo, se acabou esta casa com todas as suas coisas, e com tudo o que lhe convinha; e a edificou em sete anos.
