1 The sons of Judah: Perez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
1 Filhos de Judá: Farés, Hesron, Carmi, Hur e Sobal.
2 And Reaiah the son of Shobal begot Jahath; and Jahath begot Ahumai, and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.
2 Raia, filho de Sobal, gerou Jaat; Jaat gerou Acamai e Laad. Estas são as famílias dos sareus.
3 And these were the sons of the father of Etam: Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash; and the name of their sister was Hazlelponi;
3 Eis os descendentes de Abi-Etão: Jezrael, Jesema e Jedebos; o nome de sua irmã era Asalelfuni.
4 and Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur the first-born of Ephrath, the father of Beth-lehem.
4 Fanuel era pai de Gedor, e Ezer, pai de Hosa. Estes são os filhos de Hur, primogênito de Efrata, pai de Belém.
5 And Ashhur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

6 And Naarah bore him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Timeni, and Ahashtari. These were the sons of Naarah.

7 And the sons of Helah were Zereth, and Zohar, and Ethnan.
7 Filhos de Haala: Seret, Isaar e Etnão.
8 And Koz begot Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.
8 Cós gerou Anob e Sobola e as famílias de Aareel, filho de Arum.
9 And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying: 'Because I bore him with pain.'
9 Jabes foi mais ilustre que seus irmãos: sua mãe lhe deu o nome de Jabes, dizendo: É porque o dei à luz com dor.
10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying: 'Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that Thy hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest work deliverance from evil, that it may not pain me!' And God granted him that which he requested.
10 Jabes invocou o Deus de Israel: Se vós me abençoardes, alargando meus limites, se vossa mão estiver comigo para me preservar da desgraça e me poupar da aflição!... E Deus lhe concedeu o que tinha pedido.
11 And Chelub the brother of Shuhah begot Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.
11 Quelub, irmão de Sua, gerou Mair, pai de Eston.
12 And Eshton begot Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These are the men of Recah.
12 Eston gerou a casa de Rafa, Fesse e Teina, pai da cidade de Naas. Foram estes os habitantes de Reca.
13 And the sons of Kenaz: Othniel, and Seraiah; and the sons of Othniel: Hathath.
13 Filhos de Cenez: Otoniel e Seraia. Filhos de Otoniel: Hatat e Maonati, que gerou Ofra.
14 And Meonothai begot Ophrah; and Seraiah begot Joab the father of Ge-harashim; for they were craftsmen.
14 Seraia gerou Joab, pai dos habitantes do vale de Carasquim, porque eles eram carpinteiros.
15 And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam; and the sons of Elah: Kenaz.
15 Filhos de Caleb, filho de Jefoneu: Hir, Ela e Naão. Filho de Ela: Cenez.
16 And the sons of Jehallelel: Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.
16 Filhos de Jaleleel: Zif, Zifa, Tíria e Asrael.
17 And the sons of Ezrah: Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon. And she bore Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa--
17 Filhos de Esra: Jeter, Mered, Efer e Jalon. A mulher de Mered deu à luz Miriam, Samai e Jesba, pai de Estamo.
18 and his wife Hajehudijah bore Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel the father of Zanoah--and these are the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh whom Mered took.
18 Sua mulher judia deu à luz Jared, pai de Gedor, Heber, pai de Soco e Icutiel, pai de Zanoe. São estes os filhos de Betia, filha do faraó, que Mered desposara.
19 And the sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the father of Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maacathite.
19 Filhos da mulher de Odaia, irmã de Naão: o pai da Ceila, de Garmi e Estamo que era de Macati.
20 And the sons of Shimon: Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi: Zoheth, and Ben-zoheth.
20 Filhos de Simon: Amnon, Rina, Ben-Hanã e Tilon. Os filhos de Jesi: Zoet e Ben-Zoet.
21 The sons of Shelah the son of Judah: Er the father of Lecah, and Ladah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea;
21 Filhos de Sela, filho de Judá: Her, pai de Leca, Laada, pai de Maresa, e as famílias da casa onde se fabricava linho fino, casa de Aschbea e Joaquim,
22 and Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had dominion in Moab, and Jashubi-lehem. And the records are ancient.
22 e os homens de Cozeba, Joás e Saraf, que dominaram sobre Moab e Jaschubi-Lechem. Isso data de muito tempo.
23 These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plantations and hedges; there they dwelt occupied in the king's work.

24 The sons of Simeon: Nemuel, and Jamim, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul;

25 Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.
25 Selum, seu filho, Madsão, seu filho, Masma, seu filho.
26 And the sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.
26 Filhos de Masma: Hamuel, seu filho, Zacur, Semei, seu filho,
27 And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brethren had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like to the children of Judah.
27 Semei teve dezesseis filhos e seis filhas; seus irmãos não tiveram muitos filhos e suas famílias não foram tão numerosas como as dos filhos de Judá.
28 And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual;
28 Eles habitavam em Bersabé, em Molada, em Hasar-Sual,
29 and at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad;
29 em Bala, em Asom, em Tolad,
30 and at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag;
30 em Batuel, em Horma, em Siceleg, em Betmarcabot,
31 and at Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susim, and at Beth-biri, and at Shaaraim. These were their cities unto the reign of David.

32 And their villages were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities;

33 and all their villages that were round about the same cities, unto Baal. These were their habitations, and they have their genealogy.

34 And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah the son of Amaziah;
34 Mosobab, Jemlec, Josa, filho de Amasias,
35 and Joel, and Jehu the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel;
35 Joel, Jeú, filhos de Josabias, filhos de Saraia, filhos de Asiel,
36 and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshoaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah;
36 Elioenai, Jacoba, Isuaia, Asaia, Adiel, Ismiel, Banaia,
37 and Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah;
37 Ziza, filho de Sefei, filho de Alon, filho de Idaia, filho de Semri, filho de Samaia.
38 these mentioned by name were princes in their families; and their fathers' houses increased greatly.
38 Estes homens, indicados por seus nomes, eram príncipes nas suas famílias. Suas casas patriarcais eram grandemente multiplicadas.
39 And they went to the entrance of Gedor, even unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.
39 Eles foram da costa de Gador, até a este do vale, à procura de pastagens para seus rebanhos.
40 And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they that dwelt there aforetime were of Ham.
40 Encontraram pastos abundantes e bons num território amplo, tranqüilo e cheio de paz, outrora habitado pelos camitas.
41 And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the Meunim that were found there, and destroyed them utterly, unto this day, and dwelt in their stead; because there was pasture there for their flocks.
41 Estes homens, indicados por seus nomes, vieram no tempo de Ezequias, rei de Judá: destruíram as tendas dos habitantes dessa terra, assim como os maonitas que lá se encontravam, e os votaram ao interdito até o dia de hoje. Estabeleceram-se em seu lugar, porque lá havia pastagens para seus rebanhos.
42 And some of them, even of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.
42 Quinhentos homens da família de Simeão dirigiram-se também para as montanhas de Seir. Eram seus chefes: Faltias, Naarias, Rafaías e Oziel, filho de Jesi.
43 And they smote the remnant of the Amalekites that escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.
43 Destroçaram os amalecitas sobreviventes e lá se estabeleceram até este dia.
