1 एकरसेति, अपनआप ला जम्मो किसम के बईरता, छल-कपट, ढोंगीपन, जलन, अऊ बदनामी ले दूर रखव।
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 नवां जनमे लइकामन सहीं सुध आतमिक दूध के लालसा करव, ताकि एकर दुवारा अपन उद्धार म बढ़ सकव,
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 अब तुमन ये जान गे हवव कि परभू ह बने अय।
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 जब तुमन ओकर करा, जऊन ह जीयत पथरा ए, आथव, जऊन ला मनखेमन अस्वीकार करिन, पर ओह परमेसर के नजर म चुने हुए अऊ कीमती अय—

5 त तुमन घलो जीयत पथरामन सहीं एक ठन आतमिक घर बनत जावत हव, जेकर ले पबितर पुरोहित बनके अइसने आतमिक बलिदान चघावव, जऊन ह यीसू मसीह के दुवारा परमेसर ला गरहन लईक होवय।
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 काबरकि परमेसर के बचन ह ये कहिथे:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 अब तुमन बर, जऊन मन बिसवास करथव, ये पथरा ह कीमती ए। पर जऊन मन बिसवास नइं करंय, ओमन बर,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 अऊ,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 पर तुमन एक चुने बंस, राज-पदधारी पुरोहित, पबितर जाति अऊ परमेसर के खुद के मनखे अव, ताकि तुमन ओकर परसंसा करव, जऊन ह तुमन ला अंधियार म ले अपन अद्भूत अंजोर म बलाय हवय।
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 पहिली तुमन परमेसर के मनखे नइं रहेव, पर अब तुमन परमेसर के मनखे अव; एक समय रिहिस, जब तुमन परमेसर के दया ला नइं पाय रहेव, पर अब तुमन ओकर दया ला पा गे हवव।
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 मयारू संगवारीमन हो, मेंह तुमन ले बिनती करत हंव कि अपनआप ला, ये संसार म परदेसी अऊ अजनबी जानके, पापी ईछा ले बचाय रखव, जऊन ह कि तुम्हर आतमा के बिरोध म लड़थे।
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 मूरती-पूजा करइयामन के बीच म तुम्हर चालचलन ह सही रहय, ताकि कहूं ओमन तुम्हर ऊपर गलत काम करे के दोस लगाथें, त ओ दिन, जब परमेसर ह हमर करा आही, त ओमन हमर बने काममन ला देख सकंय अऊ परमेसर के महिमा करंय।
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 परभू के हित म, अपनआप ला मनखेमन के बीच ठहिराय हर हाकिम के अधीन रखव; चाहे परधान हाकिम के रूप म राजा के अधीन होवय,

14 या राजपाल के अधीन होवय, काबरकि ओमन कुकरमीमन ला दंड दे बर अऊ बने काम करइयामन के परसंसा करे बर राजा के दुवारा ठहिराय जाथें।
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 काबरकि येह परमेसर के ईछा ए कि भलई करे के दुवारा तुमन मुरूख मनखेमन के अगियानता के बात ला बंद कर देवव।
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 सुतंतर मनखेमन सहीं रहव, पर अपन सुतंतरता के आड़ म बुरई ला तोपे के काम झन करव; परमेसर के सेवकमन सहीं रहव।
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 जम्मो झन के आदर करव; संगी बिसवासीमन ला मया करव; परमेसर के भय मानव अऊ राजा के आदर करव।
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 हे गुलाममन हो, पूरा आदर के संग अपन मालिकमन के अधीन रहव, न सिरिप बने अऊ समझदार मालिक के, पर निरदयी मालिक के भी अधीन रहव।
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 काबरकि यदि कोनो परमेसर ला जानके, अनियाय के दुख-तकलीफ सहथे, त येह परसंसा के बात अय।
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 कहूं तुमन गलत काम करे के कारन मार खाथव अऊ ओला सहथव, त तुम्हर बर येह कोनो बड़ई के बात नो हय। पर कहूं तुमन भलई करे के कारन दुख सहथव, त येह परमेसर के आघू म बड़ई के बात अय।
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 तुमन ला एकरे खातिर बलाय गे रिहिस, काबरकि मसीह ह तुम्हर खातिर दुख भोगिस अऊ तुम्हर बर एक नमूना रखे हवय कि तुमन ओकर मुताबिक चलव।
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 “ओह कोनो पाप नइं करिस,
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 जब मनखेमन मसीह के बेजत्ती करिन, त ओकर जबाब म ओह ओमन के बेजत्ती नइं करिस; जब ओह दुख उठाईस, त ओह कोनो धमकी नइं दीस; पर बदले म, ओह अपन आसा परमेसर ऊपर रखिस, जऊन ह धरमी नियायी अय।
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 “ओह खुद हमर पापमन” ला अपन देहें म कुरूस ऊपर उठा लीस, ताकि हमन पाप खातिर मर जावन अऊ धरमीपन खातिर जीयन। “ओकर घावमन के दुवारा तुमन चंगा होय हवव।”
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 काबरकि “तुमन भटके भेड़मन सहीं रहेव,” पर अब तुमन चरवाहा अऊ अपन आतमा के रखवार करा लहुंटके आ गे हवव।
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
