1 ”אז תידמה מלכות השמים לסיפור על עשר עלמות, אשר לקחו את המנורות שלהן ויצאו לקבל את פני החתן.
1 Então o Reino dos céus será semelhante a dez virgens, que saíram com suas lâmpadas ao encontro do esposo.
2 — ausente —
2 Cinco dentre elas eram tolas e cinco, prudentes.
3 — ausente —
3 Tomando suas lâmpadas, as tolas não levaram óleo consigo.
4 — ausente —
4 As prudentes, todavia, levaram de reserva vasos de óleo junto com as lâmpadas.
5 — ausente —
5 Tardando o esposo, cochilaram todas e adormeceram.
6 — ausente —
6 No meio da noite, porém, ouviu-se um clamor: Eis o esposo, ide-lhe ao encontro.

7 E as virgens levantaram-se todas e prepararam suas lâmpadas.

8 As tolas disseram às prudentes: Dai-nos de vosso óleo, porque nossas lâmpadas se estão apagando.
9 ”אולם הבחורות החכמות ענו: ’אם ניתן לכן מעט שמן לא יישאר לנו מספיק. לכו לחנות לקנות לעצמכן‘.
9 As prudentes responderam: Não temos o suficiente para nós e para vós; é preferível irdes aos vendedores, a fim de o comprardes para vós.
10 ”אך בזמן שהן הלכו לקנות שמן בא החתן, ואלה שהיו מוכנות נכנסו איתו אל החתונה והדלת ננעלה.
10 Ora, enquanto foram comprar, veio o esposo. As que estavam preparadas entraram com ele para a sala das bodas e foi fechada a porta.
11 ”כשחזרו האחרות מאוחר יותר, הן עמדו בחוץ וקראו: ’אדוננו, אדוננו, פתח לנו את הדלת!‘
11 Mais tarde, chegaram também as outras e diziam: Senhor, senhor, abre-nos!
12 ”אולם הוא השיב להן מבפנים: ’אינני מכיר אתכן!‘
12 Mas ele respondeu: Em verdade vos digo: não vos conheço!
13 ”משום כך היו ערים ומוכנים, כי אינכם יודעים באיזה יום ובאיזו שעה אחזור.“
13 Vigiai, pois, porque não sabeis nem o dia nem a hora.
14 ישוע המשיך: ”אפשר לתאר את מלכות השמים בעזרת הסיפור על אדם שנסע לארץ רחוקה. לפני נסיעתו הוא קרא למשרתיו והפקיד בידם סכומי כסף, כדי שישקיעו אותם למענו בזמן העדרו.
14 Será também como um homem que, tendo de viajar, reuniu seus servos e lhes confiou seus bens.
15 הוא נתן לאחד 50,000 שקלים, לשני – 20,000 שקלים ולשלישי – 10,000 שקלים. הוא חילק את הכסף בהתאם לכישרונו של כל אחד ויצא לדרכו.
15 A um deu cinco talentos; a outro, dois; e a outro, um, segundo a capacidade de cada um. Depois partiu.
16 האיש שקיבל 50,000 שקלים החל מיד לקנות ולמכור, ותוך זמן קצר הרוויח עוד 50,000 שקלים.
16 Logo em seguida, o que recebeu cinco talentos negociou com eles; fê-los produzir, e ganhou outros cinco.
17 גם האיש שקיבל 20,000 שקלים ניגש מיד לעבודה והרוויח עוד 20,000 שקלים.
17 Do mesmo modo, o que recebeu dois, ganhou outros dois.
18 אך האיש שקיבל 10,000 שקלים חפר בור באדמה והטמין בתוכו את הכסף.
18 Mas, o que recebeu apenas um, foi cavar a terra e escondeu o dinheiro de seu senhor.
19 ”לאחר זמן רב חזר האדון ממסעו, וביקש ממשרתיו לתת דין וחשבון על הכסף שהפקיד בידם.
19 Muito tempo depois, o senhor daqueles servos voltou e pediu-lhes contas.
20 האיש שקיבל 50,000 שקלים החזיר לאדוניו 100,000 שקלים.
20 O que recebeu cinco talentos, aproximou-se e apresentou outros cinco: - Senhor, disse-lhe, confiaste-me cinco talentos; eis aqui outros cinco que ganhei.'
21 האדון שיבח אותו על עבודתו הטובה ואמר: ’מאחר שהיית נאמן בסכום קטן, אתן לך עכשיו אחריות גדולה יותר. בוא והשתתף בשמחתי‘.
21 Disse-lhe seu senhor: - Muito bem, servo bom e fiel; já que foste fiel no pouco, eu te confiarei muito. Vem regozijar-te com teu senhor.
22 ”אחריו בא האיש שקיבל 20,000 שקלים והצהיר: ’אדוני, נתת לי 20,000 שקלים, ועכשיו אני מחזיר לך סכום כפול‘.
22 O que recebeu dois talentos, adiantou-se também e disse: - Senhor, confiaste-me dois talentos; eis aqui os dois outros que lucrei.
23 ” ’עבודה טובה‘, אמר לו האדון. ’אתה משרת טוב ונאמן. מאחר שהיית נאמן בסכום קטן, אתן לך עכשיו הרבה יותר!‘
23 Disse-lhe seu senhor: - Muito bem, servo bom e fiel; já que foste fiel no pouco, eu te confiarei muito. Vem regozijar-te com teu senhor.
24 — ausente —
24 Veio, por fim, o que recebeu só um talento: - Senhor, disse-lhe, sabia que és um homem duro, que colhes onde não semeaste e recolhes onde não espalhaste.
25 — ausente —
25 Por isso, tive medo e fui esconder teu talento na terra. Eis aqui, toma o que te pertence.
26 ”אך אדוניו השיב לו: ’רשע שכמוך, עבד עצלן! אם ידעת שאדרוש ממך את הרווח,
26 Respondeu-lhe seu senhor: - Servo mau e preguiçoso! Sabias que colho onde não semeei e que recolho onde não espalhei.
27 מדוע לא הפקדת את הכסף בבנק? כך לפחות הייתי מקבל ריבית!
27 Devias, pois, levar meu dinheiro ao banco e, à minha volta, eu receberia com os juros o que é meu.
28 קחו ממנו את הכסף, ותנו לאיש שיש לו כבר 100,000
28 Tirai-lhe este talento e dai-o ao que tem dez.
29 כי האיש שמנצל היטב את מה שנותנים לו – יינתן לו עוד ויהיה לו שפע רב. ואילו אדם בלתי־אחראי – גם מעט האחריות שניתנה לו תילקח ממנו.
29 Dar-se-á ao que tem e terá em abundância. Mas ao que não tem, tirar-se-á mesmo aquilo que julga ter.
30 קחו עתה את המשרת הזה, שאין בו כל תועלת, והשליכוהו החוצה לחושך, שם יש בכי וחריקת שיניים‘.
30 E a esse servo inútil, jogai-o nas trevas exteriores; ali haverá choro e ranger de dentes.
31 ”אולם כשאני, המשיח, אבוא בתפארתי עם כל המלאכים, אשב על כיסאי בכבוד רב.
31 Quando o Filho do Homem voltar na sua glória e todos os anjos com ele, sentar-se-á no seu trono glorioso.
32 כל אומות העולם יתאספו לפני, ואני אפריד ביניהם כרועה המפריד בין הכבשים ובין העיזים.
32 Todas as nações se reunirão diante dele e ele separará uns dos outros, como o pastor separa as ovelhas dos cabritos.
33 את הכבשים אעמיד לימיני ואת העיזים לשמאלי.
33 Colocará as ovelhas à sua direita e os cabritos à sua esquerda.
34 ”לאחר מכן אני, המלך, אומר לעומדים לימיני: ’בואו, ברוכי אבי, אל המלכות שהוכנה למענכם מאז היווסד העולם.
34 Então o Rei dirá aos que estão à direita: - Vinde, benditos de meu Pai, tomai posse do Reino que vos está preparado desde a criação do mundo,
35 כשהייתי רעב – האכלתם אותי. כשהייתי צמא – נתתם לי לשתות. כשהייתי אורח זר – הכנסתם אותי לביתכם.
35 for I hungered, and ye gave me to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;
36 כשהייתי עירום – הלבשתם אותי. כשהייתי חולה או אסור בכלא – באתם לבקר אותי‘.
36 naked, and ye clothed me; I was ill, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me.
37 ”ואותם צדיקים יענו: ’אדוננו, מתי ראינו אותך רעב והאכלנו אותך, או צמא והשקינו אותך?
37 Then shall the righteous answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, and nourished thee; or thirsting, and gave thee to drink?
38 או אורח זר ועזרנו לך? או עירום והלבשנו אותך?
38 and when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in; or naked, and clothed thee?
39 מתי ראינו אותך חולה או כלוא ובאנו לבקר אותך?‘
39 and when saw we thee ill, or in prison, and came to thee?
40 ”ואני, המלך, אענה: ’כשעשיתם אחד מן הדברים האלה לאחד מאחי הצעירים – כאילו עשיתם אותו לי‘.
40 And the King answering shall say to them, Verily, I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me.
41 לאחר מכן אפנה אל העומדים לשמאלי ואומר להם: ’הסתלקו מכאן, ארורים, אל האש הנצחית שהוכנה לשטן והשדים!
41 Then shall he say also to those on the left, Go from me, cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 כי כשהייתי רעב לא האכלתם אותי, וכשהייתי צמא לא נתתם לי דבר לשתות.
42 for I hungered, and ye gave me not to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me not to drink;
43 הייתי אורח זר, אולם לא הזמנתם אותי לביתכם. הייתי עירום, ולא הלבשתם אותי. הייתי חולה וכלוא, וכלל לא באתם לבקר אותי!‘
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye did not clothe me; ill, and in prison, and ye did not visit me.
44 ”ואז הם יענו: ’אדון, מתי ראינו אותך רעב או צמא או זר או עירום או חולה או כלוא, ולא עזרנו לך?‘
44 Then shall *they* also answer saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or ill, or in prison, and have not ministered to thee?
45 ”אז יענה להם: אמן, אומר אני לכם! ’כאשר סירבתם לעזור לאחד מן האחים הצעירים האלה סירבתם לעזור לי‘.
45 Then shall he answer them saying, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have not done it to one of these least, neither have ye done it to me.
46 ”והם ילכו משם לייסורי נצח, ואילו הצדיקים – לחיי נצח.“
46 And these shall go away into eternal punishment, and the righteous into life eternal.
