1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Sambiaɨ oa ramo vae reta jou neche jare jucuarãi ipɨrãta. Jae ramiño vi pequɨrẽɨ reve piyemboe Tumpa iñee re pepɨrãta vaerã pepurugüɨrovia re.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,

3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Echa'ã Tumpa iñee pe uyecuatía oĩ cuarãi:Jucuarãi uyecuatía oĩ.
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Pe reta peau, perovia jese ramo. Ẽrei güɨrovia'ã jese vae reta pe tae cua Tumpa iñee pe uyecuatía oĩ vae:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Jucuarãi uyecuatía oĩ. Echa'ã jae reta uicuaa cavi'ã Tumpa iñee, güɨrovia'ã Jesucristo re ramo. Tumpa uipota jucuarãi uyeyapo vaerã.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ẽrei pe reta co jae Tumpa uiparavo vae reta. Pe reta piyeyocui Tumpa pe iporoyocuia pe. Tumpa peñono tee iyupeguarã pico vaerã jae imbaerã. Jucuarãi Tumpa uyapo pe reta pemɨmbeu vaerã ĩru vae reta pe quirãi Tumpa ipɨacavi co jare quirãi jae peparavo pico vaerã jae jembipe icavi ete vae pe, agüɨye vaerã pico pɨ̃tumimbi pe.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Tenonde yave pe reta Tumpa jentarã reta'ã co. Ẽrei piyeyapo ma Tumpa jentarã retarã. Tenonde yave Tumpa peparareco'ã. Ẽrei añave peparareco.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Cherɨvɨ reta, pe reta pico'ã upurugüɨrovia mbae vae reta yugüɨreco rami, jare michi peguaño picota cua ɨvɨ pe. Jáeramo agüɨye pico pe pere vae reño. Echa'ã perete perecove jovaicho co.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Piyapo icavi vae upurugüɨrovia mbae vae reta ipɨte pe. Echa'ã jucuarãi piyapo yave, yepe tẽi jae reta jei icavi mbae vae pecotɨ, ẽrei uechata icavi vae piyapo vae, jare jocua jeco pegua umbɨadorata reta Tumpa, ou uvãe yave ara Tumpa uãa reta vaerã.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Piyapo opaete ɨvɨ pegua mboroyocui reta. Echa'ã cua yandeYa jei vae co. Jáeramo piyapo peruvicha guasu jei peve piyapo vaerã vae. Echa'ã jae co opaete perentaɨgua reta juvicha guasu.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Iyaracuaa mbae vae reta jei icavi mbae vae pecotɨ, pecuaa'ã ramo. Jáeramo piyapo icavi vae agüɨye vaerã ipuere reta jei jucuarãi. Echa'ã cua co jae Tumpa jei vae.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Tumpa perepɨ ma mbaeyoa güi. Ẽrei agüɨye piyapo icavi mbae vae Tumpa perepɨ ma mbaeyoa güi ramo. Echa'ã Tumpa perepɨ mbaeyoa güi, piyeyocui vaerã chupe.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Pipɨu opaete vae. Peau opaete upurugüɨrovia vae reta. Pequɨye Tumpa güi. Pipɨu peruvicha guasu.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Che tae uyeyocui vae reta pe cua: Piyapo pepatrón jei peve piyapo vaerã vae pipɨu reve. Amocue pepatrón reta ipɨacavi jare ipɨaguasu peve. Ẽrei yepe tẽi amocue pepatrón reta uyapo icavi mbae vae peve, ẽrei jeseve piyapo jei peve piyapo vaerã vae.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Piyapo yave picuaa Tumpa uipota piyapo vaerã vae, jare piporara yave jocua jeco pegua, pembɨyeroviata Tumpa.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ẽrei piyapo yave icavi mbae vae, pepatrón uiporaracata peve. Jare yepe tẽi piporara pepɨaguasu reve, ẽrei ndarau piyembutuichaca. Ẽrei pepatrón uiporaraca yave peve, yepe tẽi piyapo icavi vae, piporara yave pepɨaguasu reve, pembɨyeroviata Tumpa.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Echa'ã cuarã Tumpa peparavo. Echa'ã Cristo uiporara peré, pe reta piyapo vaerã jae uyapo rami.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Echa'ã Cristo iyoa'ã. Upurumbɨtavɨ'ã etei.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Yepe tẽi ĩru vae reta jei icavi mbae vae icotɨ, ẽrei Cristo jei'ã icavi mbae vae icotɨ reta. Uiporara oĩ yave, jei'ã uiporaracata co uiporaraca chupe vae reta pe. Jaeño oñono Tumpa ipo pe. Echa'ã uicuaa Tumpa upuruãa jupi vae rupi.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Cristo etei güɨraa yanembaeyoa reta jete re jocua curusu re, yande ñamano vaerã mbaeyoa reta güi jare yaico vaerã jupi vae re. Jae umano ramo, yande ñanoi tecove opa mbae vae.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Echa'ã tenonde yave pe reta pepia Tumpa güi, ovecha reta tape güi opia rami. Ẽrei añave peyu ye ma uyandareco perecove re vae pe, ovecha reta yugüeru ye iyandarecoa pe rami.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
