1 In the eight moneth of the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto Zechariah the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Iddo, the Prophet, saying,
1 No oitavo mês do segundo ano de Dario, veio a palavra do Senhor ao profeta Zacarias, filho de Baraquias, filho de Ido, dizendo:
2 The Lord hath bene sore displeased with your fathers.
2 O Senhor tem estado em extremo desgostoso com vossos pais.
3 Therefore say thou vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Turne ye vnto me, saith the Lord of hostes, and I will turne vnto you, saith the Lord of hostes.
3 Portanto, dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Tornai para mim, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, e eu tornarei para vós, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
4 Be ye not as your fathers, vnto whome the former prophets haue cried, saying, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Turne you nowe from your euill wayes, and from your wicked workes: but they would not heare, nor hearken vnto me, saith the Lord.
4 E não sejais como vossos pais, aos quais clamavam os primeiros profetas, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Convertei-vos, agora, dos vossos maus caminhos e das vossas más obras. Mas não ouviram, nem me escutaram, diz o Senhor .
5 your fathers, where are they? and doe the Prophets liue for euer?
5 Vossos pais, onde estão eles? E os profetas, viverão eles para sempre?
6 But did not my wordes and my statutes, which I commanded by my seruants ye Prophets, take holde of your fathers? and they returned, and sayd, As the Lord of hostes hath determined to doe vnto vs, according to our owne wayes, and according to our workes, so hath hee dealt with vs.
6 Contudo, as minhas palavras e os meus estatutos, que eu mandei pelos profetas, meus servos, não alcançaram a vossos pais? E eles tornaram e disseram: Assim como o Senhor dos Exércitos fez tenção de nos tratar, segundo os nossos caminhos e segundo as nossas obras, assim ele nos tratou.
7 Vpon the foure and twentieth day of the eleuenth moneth, which is the moneth Shebat, in the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto Zechariah the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Iddo the Prophet, saying,
7 Aos vinte e quatro dias do mês undécimo (que é o mês de sebate), no segundo ano de Dario, veio a palavra do Senhor ao profeta Zacarias, filho de Baraquias, filho de Ido, dizendo:
8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding vpon a red horse, and hee stood among the mirre trees, that were in a bottome, and behinde him were there red horses speckeled and white.
8 Olhei de noite e vi um homem montado em um cavalo vermelho, e parava entre as murtas que estavam na profundeza; e atrás dele estavam cavalos vermelhos, morenos e brancos.
9 Then sayd I, O my Lord, what are these? And the Angel that talked with me, sayde vnto me, I wil shew thee what these be.
9 E eu disse: Senhor meu, quem são estes? E disse-me o anjo que falava comigo: Eu te mostrarei quem estes são.
10 And the man that stood among the mirre trees, answered, and sayd, These are they whome the Lord hath sent to go through the world.
10 Então, respondeu o homem que estava entre as murtas e disse: Estes são os que o Senhor tem enviado para andarem pela terra.
11 And they answered the Angel of the Lord, that stood among the mirre trees, and sayd, We haue gone thorowe the world: and beholde, all the world sitteth still, and is at rest.
11 E eles responderam ao anjo do Senhor , que estava entre as murtas, e disseram: Nós já andamos pela terra, e eis que toda a terra está tranquila e em descanso.
12 Then the Angel of the Lord answered and sayd, O Lord of hostes, howe long wilt thou be vnmercifull to Ierusalem, and to the cities of Iudah, with whom thou hast bene displeased now these threescore and ten yeeres?
12 Então, o anjo do Senhor respondeu e disse: Ó Senhor dos Exércitos, até quando não terás compaixão de Jerusalém e das cidades de Judá, contra as quais estiveste irado estes setenta anos?
13 And the Lord answered the Angel that talked with me, with good wordes and comfortable wordes.
13 Respondeu o Senhor , ao anjo que falava comigo, palavras boas, palavras consoladoras.
14 So the Angel that communed with me, said vnto me, Crie thou, and speake, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I am ielous ouer Ierusalem and Zion with a great zeale,
14 E o anjo que falava comigo me disse: Clama, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Com grande zelo, estou zelando por Jerusalém e por Sião.
15 And am greatly angrie against the carelesse heathen: for I was angrie but a litle, and they helped forward the affliction.
15 E, com grandíssima ira, estou irado contra as nações em descanso; porque, estando eu um pouco desgostoso, eles auxiliaram no mal.
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord, I wil returne vnto Ierusalem with tender mercie: mine house shall be builded in it, saith the Lord of hostes, and a line shall be stretched vpon Ierusalem.
16 Portanto, o Senhor diz assim: Voltei-me para Jerusalém com misericórdia; a minha casa nela será edificada, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, e o cordel será estendido sobre Jerusalém.
17 Cry yet, and speake, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, My cities shall yet be broken with plentie: the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet chuse Ierusalem.
17 Clama outra vez, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: As minhas cidades ainda aumentarão e prosperarão; porque o Senhor ainda consolará a Sião e ainda escolherá a Jerusalém.
18 Then lift I vp mine eyes and sawe, and beholde, foure hornes.
18 E levantei os meus olhos, e olhei, e vi quatro chifres.
19 And I said vnto the Angel that talked with me, What be these? And hee answered me, These are the hornes which haue scattered Iudah, Israel, and Ierusalem.
19 E eu disse ao anjo que falava comigo: Que é isto? E ele me disse: Estes são os poderes que dispersaram Judá, Israel e Jerusalém.
20 And the Lord shewed me foure carpenters.
20 E o Senhor me mostrou quatro ferreiros.
21 Then said I, What come these to doe? And he answered, and said, These are the hornes, which haue scattered Iudah, so that a man durst not lift vp his head: but these are come to fray them, and to cast out the hornes of the Gentiles, which lift vp their horne ouer the land of Iudah, to scatter it.
21 Então, eu disse: Que vêm estes fazer? E ele falou, dizendo: Estes são os poderes que dispersaram Judá, de maneira que ninguém pôde levantar a sua cabeça; estes, pois, vieram para os amedrontarem, para derribarem os poderes das nações que levantaram o seu poder contra a terra de Judá, para a espalharem.
