¹ Why doe the heathen rage, and the people murmure in vaine?

¹ Por que se amotinam as nações, e os povos imaginam coisas vãs?

² The Kings of the earth band themselues, and the princes are assembled together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

² Os reis da terra se levantam, e os príncipes juntos se mancomunam contra o Senhor e contra o seu ungido, dizendo:

³ Let vs breake their bands, and cast their cordes from vs.

³ Rompamos as suas ataduras e sacudamos de nós as suas cordas.

⁴ But he that dwelleth in the heauen, shall laugh: the Lord shall haue them in derision.

⁴ Aquele que habita nos céus se rirá; o Senhor zombará deles.

⁵ Then shall hee speake vnto them in his wrath, and vexe them in his sore displeasure, saying,

⁵ Então, lhes falará na sua ira e no seu furor os confundirá.

⁶ Euen I haue set my King vpon Zion mine holy mountaine.

⁶ Eu, porém, ungi o meu Rei sobre o meu santo monte Sião.

⁷ I will declare the decree: that is, the Lord hath said vnto me, Thou art my Sonne: this day haue I begotten thee.

⁷ Recitarei o decreto: O Senhor me disse: Tu és meu Filho; eu hoje te gerei.

⁸ Aske of me, and I shall giue thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the endes of the earth for thy possession.

⁸ Pede-me, e eu te darei as nações por herança e os confins da terra por tua possessão.

⁹ Thou shalt krush them with a scepter of yron, and breake them in pieces like a potters vessell.

⁹ Tu os esmigalharás com uma vara de ferro; tu os despedaçarás como a um vaso de oleiro.

¹⁰ Be wise nowe therefore, ye Kings: be learned ye Iudges of the earth.

¹⁰ Agora, pois, ó reis, sede prudentes; deixai-vos instruir, juízes da terra.

¹¹ Serue the Lord in feare, and reioyce in trembling.

¹¹ Servi ao Senhor com temor e alegrai-vos com tremor.

¹² Kisse the sonne, least he be angry, and ye perish in the way, when his wrath shall suddenly burne. blessed are all that trust in him.

¹² Beijai o Filho, para que se não ire, e pereçais no caminho, quando em breve se inflamar a sua ira. Bem-aventurados todos aqueles que nele confiam.
