1 And hee began againe to teache by the sea side, and there gathered vnto him a great multitude, so that hee entred into a shippe, and sate in the sea, and all the people was by the sea side on the land.
1 E ele começou outra vez a ensinar à beira do mar; e havia se juntado a ele uma grande multidão, de modo que ele entrou num barco sobre o mar, e assentou-se; e toda a multidão estava em terra junto ao mar.
2 And he taught them many things in parables, and said vnto them in his doctrine,
2 E ele ensinava-lhes muitas coisas por parábolas, e lhes dizia na sua doutrina:
3 Hearken: Beholde, there went out a sower to sowe.
3 Ouvi: Eis que saiu um semeador a semear;
4 And it came to passe as he sowed, that some fell by the way side, and the foules of the heauen came, and deuoured it vp.
4 e aconteceu que, ao semear, uma parte caiu à beira do caminho, e vieram as aves do céu e comeram-na.
5 And some fell on stonie grounde, where it had not much earth, and by and by sprang vp, because it had not depth of earth.
5 E caiu uma parte em terreno pedregoso, onde não havia muita terra; e logo brotou, porque não havia terra profunda;
6 But assoone as ye Sunne was vp, it was burnt vp, and because it had not roote, it withered away.
6 mas, saindo o sol, foi queimada; e por não ter raiz, secou.
7 And some fell among the thornes, and the thornes grewe vp, and choked it, so that it gaue no fruite.
7 E outra parte caiu entre espinhos, cresceram, sufocaram-na, e não deu fruto.
8 Some againe fell in good grounde, and did yeelde fruite that sprong vp, and grewe, and it brought foorth, some thirtie folde, some sixtie folde, and some an hundreth folde.
8 E outra caiu em boa terra, e produziu fruto que cresceram e aumentaram; e produziu uns trinta, e uns sessenta e alguns cem.
9 Then he said vnto them, He that hath eares to heare, let him heare.
9 E ele disse-lhes: Quem tem ouvidos para ouvir, ouça.
10 And whe he was alone, they that were about him with the twelue, asked him of ye parable.
10 E, estando ele só, os que estavam junto dele com os doze perguntavam-lhe acerca da parábola.
11 And he saide vnto them, To you it is giuen to knowe the mysterie of the kingdome of God: but vnto them that are without, all thinges bee done in parables,
11 E ele disse-lhes: A vós é concedido conhecer o mistério do reino de Deus; mas aos de fora todas estas coisas são apresentadas por parábolas;
12 That they seeing, may see, and not discerne: and they hearing, may heare, and not vnderstand, least at any time they should turne, and their sinnes should be forgiuen them.
12 para que vendo, eles possam ver, e não percebam; e, ouvindo, eles possam ouvir, e não entendam; para que a qualquer momento, eles não se convertam, e seus pecados sejam perdoados.
13 Againe he said vnto them, Perceiue ye not this parable? howe then should ye vnderstand all other parables?
13 E ele disse-lhes: Não entendeis esta parábola? Como, pois, entendereis todas as parábolas?
14 The sower soweth the worde.
14 O semeador semeia a palavra;
15 And these are they that receiue the seede by the wayes side, in whome the worde is sowen: but when they haue heard it, Satan commeth immediatly, and taketh away the worde that was sowen in their heartes.
15 estes são os que estão à beira do caminho, em quem a palavra é semeada; mas ouvindo-a, imediatamente vem Satanás e tira a palavra que foi semeada nos seus corações.
16 And likewise they that receiue the seede in stony ground, are they, which whe they haue heard the word, straightwayes receiue it with gladnesse.
16 E da mesma forma são os semeados em lugares pedregosos; os quais, ouvindo a palavra, imediatamente a recebem com alegria;
17 Yet haue they no roote in themselues, and endure but a time: for when trouble and persecution ariseth for the worde, immediatly they be offended.
17 mas não têm raiz em si mesmos, e então duraram por algum tempo; depois, sobrevindo aflição ou perseguição por causa da palavra, imediatamente se escandalizaram.
18 Also they that receiue the seede among the thornes, are such as heare the word:
18 E os que foram semeados entre os espinhos, esses ouvem a palavra;
19 But the cares of this world, and the deceitfulnes of riches, and the lustes of other things enter in, and choke the word, and it is vnfruitfull.
19 e os cuidados deste mundo, e os enganos das riquezas e as ambições das demais coisas, sufocam a palavra, e ela se torna infrutífera.
20 But they that haue receiued seede in good ground, are they that heare the worde, and receiue it, and bring foorth fruite: one corne thirtie, another sixtie, and some an hundreth.
20 Mas os que foram semeados em boa terra, os que ouvem a palavra e a recebem, e produzem fruto, alguns trinta vezes, alguns sessenta, e outros cem.
21 Also he saide vnto them, Commeth the candle in, to be put vnder a bushell, or vnder the bed, and not to be put on a candlesticke?
21 E ele lhes disse: Vem uma candeia para ser colocada sob um alqueire, ou debaixo da cama? E não para ser colocada sobre um castiçal?
22 For there is nothing hid, that shall not be opened: neither is there a secret, but that it shall come to light.
22 Porquanto não há nada escondido que não seja manifesto; nem coisa alguma mantida em segredo, que não se torne pública.
23 If any man haue eares to heare, let him heare.
23 Se algum homem tem ouvidos para ouvir, ouça.
24 And he said vnto them, Take heede what ye heare. With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured vnto you: and vnto you that heare, shall more be giuen.
24 E disse-lhes: Fiquem atentos ao que ouvis. Com a medida com que medis isso vos será medido, e a vós que ouvis ainda mais será acrescentado.
25 For vnto him that hath, shall it be giuen, and from him that hath not, shall be taken away, euen that he hath.
25 Porque aquele que tem, a ele será dado; e aquele que não tem, dele será tomado até aquilo que tem.
26 Also he said, So is the kingdome of God, as if a man should cast seede in the ground,
26 E ele disse: Assim é o reino de Deus, como se um homem lançasse semente à terra;
27 And shoulde sleepe, and rise vp night and day, and the seede should spring and growe vp, he not knowing howe.
27 e vai dormir e se levanta noite e de dia, e a semente brota e cresce, e ele nem sabe como.
28 For the earth bringeth foorth fruite of it selfe, first the blade, then the eares, after that full corne in the eares.
28 Porque a terra por si mesma produz fruto, primeiro a folha, depois a espiga, e por último o grão na espiga.
29 And assoone as the fruite sheweth it selfe, anon hee putteth in the sickle, because the haruest is come.
29 Mas quando o fruto está maduro, imediatamente ele mete a foice, porque é chegada a colheita.
30 He saide moreouer, Whereunto shall wee liken the kingdome of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
30 E ele disse: A que assemelharemos o reino de Deus? Ou com que comparação o compararemos?
31 It is like a graine of mustarde seede, which when it is sowen in the earth, is the least of all seedes that be in the earth:
31 É como um grão de mostarda, que, quando se semeia na terra, é a menor de todas as sementes que há na terra;
32 But after that it is sowen, it groweth vp, and is greatest of all herbes, and beareth great branches, so that the foules of heauen may builde vnder the shadow of it.
32 mas, tendo sido semeado, cresce, e torna-se a maior de todas as hortaliças, e cria grandes ramos, de tal maneira que as aves do céu podem abrigar-se à sua sombra.
33 And with many such parables he preached the word vnto them, as they were able to heare it.
33 E com muitas parábolas como estas, lhes falava a palavra, conforme podiam ouvi-la.
34 And without parables spake hee nothing vnto them: but he expounded all thinges to his disciples apart.
34 Mas sem parábolas ele não lhes falava; e quando eles estavam a sós, explicava todas as coisas a seus discípulos.
35 Nowe the same day when euen was come, he saide vnto them, Let vs passe ouer vnto the other side.
35 E, naquele dia, sendo já tarde, disse-lhes: Passemos para o outro lado.
36 And they left the multitude, and tooke him as he was in the shippe, and there were also with him other little shippes.
36 E, despedindo a multidão, levaram-no consigo, assim como estava, no barco; e havia também com ele outros pequenos barcos.
37 And there arose a great storme of winde, and the waues dashed into the shippe, so that it was now full.
37 E se levantou grande tempestade de vento, e as ondas batiam no barco, de modo que já se enchia.
38 And he was in the sterne asleepe on a pillow: and they awoke him, and saide to him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
38 E ele estava na parte de trás do barco, dormindo sobre uma almofada; e eles o acordaram, dizendo-lhe: Mestre, não te preocupa que pereçamos?
39 And hee rose vp, and rebuked the winde, and saide vnto the sea, Peace, and be still. So the winde ceased, and it was a great calme.
39 E ele, levantando-se, repreendeu o vento e disse ao mar: Paz, aquieta-te. E o vento cessou, e houve grande calmaria.
40 Then he saide vnto them, Why are ye so fearefull? how is it that ye haue no faith?
40 E ele disse-lhes: Por que sois temerosos? Ainda não tendes fé?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who is this, that both the winde and sea obey him?
41 E eles temeram muito, e diziam uns aos outros: Que espécie de homem é este, que até o vento e o mar lhe obedecem?
