1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
1 O Senhor disse a Moisés:
2 Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, I am the Lord your God.
2 — Fale aos filhos de Israel e diga-lhes: Eu sou o Senhor , o Deus de vocês.
3 After ye doings of the land of Egypt, wherin ye dwelt, shall ye not doe: and after the maner of the land of Canaan, whither I will bring you, shall ye not do, neither walke in their ordinances,
3 Não façam como se faz na terra do Egito, onde vocês moraram, nem façam como se faz na terra de Canaã, para onde eu os estou levando. Não andem segundo os estatutos desses povos.
4 But do after my iudgements, and keepe mine ordinances, to walke therein: I am the Lord your God.
4 Cumpram os meus juízos e guardem os meus estatutos, para andarem neles. Eu sou o Senhor , o Deus de vocês.
5 Ye shall keepe therefore my statutes, and my iudgements, which if a man doe, he shall then liue in them: I am the Lord.
5 Portanto, guardem os meus estatutos e os meus juízos. Aquele que os cumprir, por eles viverá. Eu sou o Senhor .
6 None shall come neere to any of ye kinred of his flesh to vncouer her shame: I am the Lord.
6 — Nenhum homem se aproximará de qualquer parenta próxima, para ter relações sexuais com ela. Eu sou o Senhor .
7 Thou shalt not vncouer the shame of thy father, nor the shame of thy mother: for she is thy mother, thou shalt not discouer her shame.
7 Não envergonhe o seu pai, tendo relações com a própria mãe. Ela é a sua mãe; não tenha relações com ela.
8 The shame of thy fathers wife shalt thou not discouer: for it is thy fathers shame.
8 Não tenha relações com a mulher de seu pai; este é um direito que somente o seu pai tem.
9 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of thy sister the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether shee bee borne at home, or borne without: thou shalt not discouer their shame.
9 Não tenha relações com a sua irmã, filha de seu pai ou filha de sua mãe, nascida em casa ou fora de casa.
10 The shame of thy sonnes daughter, or of thy daughters daughter, thou shalt not, I say, vncouer their shame: for it is thy shame.
10 Não tenha relações com a filha do seu filho ou com a filha de sua filha; não faça isso, porque seria uma vergonha para você.
11 The shame of thy fathers wiues daughter, begotten of thy father (for she is thy sister) thou shalt not, I say, discouer her shame.
11 Não tenha relações com a filha da mulher de seu pai, gerada por seu pai; ela é a sua irmã.
12 Thou shalt not vncouer the shame of thy fathers sister: for she is thy fathers kinswoman.
12 Não tenha relações com a irmã do seu pai; ela é parenta de seu pai.
13 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of thy mothers sister: for she is thy mothers kinsewoman.
13 Não tenha relações com a irmã de sua mãe, pois ela é parenta de sua mãe.
14 Thou shalt not vncouer the shame of thy fathers brother: that is, thou shalt not goe in to his wife, for she is thine aunte.
14 Não envergonhe o irmão de seu pai, tendo relações com a mulher dele; ela é a sua tia.
15 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of thy daughter in lawe: for she is thy sonnes wife: therefore shalt thou not vncouer her shame.
15 Não tenha relações com a sua nora; ela é a mulher de seu filho; não tenha relações com ela.
16 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of thy brothers wife. for it is thy brothers shame.
16 Não tenha relações com a mulher de seu irmão; este é um direito que somente o seu irmão tem.
17 Thou shalt not discouer the shame of the wife and of her daughter, neither shalt thou take her sonnes daughter, nor her daughters daughter, to vncouer her shame: for they are thy kinsfolkes, and it were wickednesse.
17 Não tenha relações com uma mulher e com a filha dela; não tenha relações com a filha do filho dela, nem com a filha da filha dela; são parentes; é algo vergonhoso.
18 Also thou shalt not take a wife with her sister, during her life, to vexe her, in vncouering her shame vpon her.
18 E não case com a irmã de sua mulher, de modo que se torne rival dela, nem tenha relações com a outra, enquanto a sua mulher estiver viva.
19 Thou shalt not also go vnto a woman to vncouer her shame, as long as she is put apart for her disease.
19 — Não se aproxime da mulher, para ter relações com ela, durante a sua menstruação.
20 Moreouer, thou shalt not giue thy selfe to thy neighbours wife by carnall copulation, to be defiled with her.
20 Nem se deite com a mulher do seu próximo, para ter relações sexuais, porque isso torna você impuro.
21 Also thou shalt not giue thy children to offer them vnto Molech, neither shalt thou defile the name of thy God: for I am the Lord.
21 E não entregue nenhum dos seus descendentes para que se dedique a Moloque. Não profane o nome do seu Deus. Eu sou o Senhor .
22 Thou shalt not lie with ye male as one lieth with a woman: for it is abomination.
22 — Não se deite com outro homem para ter relações com ele como se fosse mulher; é abominação.
23 Thou shalt not also lie with any beast to bee defiled therewith, neither shall any woman stand before a beast, to lie downe thereto: for it is abomination.
23 Nem tenha relações com um animal, para se contaminar com ele; e também a mulher não se porá diante de um animal, para ajuntar-se com ele; é confusão.
24 Yee shall not defile your selues in any of these things: for in al these the nations are defiled, which I will cast out before you:
24 — Não se contaminem com nenhuma destas coisas, porque com todas estas coisas se contaminaram as nações que eu vou expulsar da presença de vocês.
25 And the land is defiled: therefore I wil visit the wickednesse thereof vpon it, and the lande shall vomit out her inhabitants.
25 A terra se contaminou; eu a castiguei por sua iniquidade, e ela vomitou os seus moradores.
26 Ye shall keepe therefore mine ordinances, and my iudgements, and commit none of these abominations, aswell hee that is of the same countrey, as the straunger that soiourneth among you.
26 Vocês, porém, guardarão os meus estatutos e os meus juízos, e não farão nenhuma dessas abominações, nem o natural da terra, nem o estrangeiro que peregrina entre vocês.
27 (For all these abominations haue the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled:
27 Porque os moradores desta terra que nela estavam antes de vocês fizeram todas essas abominações, e a terra se contaminou.
28 And shall not the lande spue you out if ye defile it, as it spued out the people that were before you?)
28 Que não aconteça que a terra vomite vocês também, por terem se contaminado, como vomitou o povo que nela estava antes de vocês.
29 For whosoeuer shall commit any of these abominations, the persons that doe so, shall bee cut off from among their people.
29 Todo aquele que fizer alguma dessas abominações, sim, aqueles que as cometerem serão eliminados do seu povo.
30 Therefore shall yee keepe mine ordinances that ye do not any of the abominable customes, which haue bene done before you, and that yee defile not your selues therein: for I am the Lord your God.
30 — Portanto, vocês devem guardar a obrigação que têm para comigo, não praticando nenhum dos costumes abomináveis que foram praticados antes de vocês, e não se contaminem com eles. Eu sou o Senhor , o Deus de vocês.
