1 The worde that came to Ieremiah concerning all the Iewes, which dwell in the lande of Egypt, and remained at Migdol and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the coutry of Pathros, saying,
1 Esta é a palavra do Senhor, que foi dirigida a Jeremias, para todos os judeus que estavam no Egito e viviam em Migdol, Tafnes, Mênfis, e na região de Patros:
2 Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Yee haue seene all the euill that I haue brought vpon Ierusalem, and vpon all the cities of Iudah: and beholde, this day they are desolate, and no man dwelleth therein,
2 "Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel: Vocês viram toda a desgraça que eu trouxe sobre Jerusalém e sobre todas as cidades de Judá. Hoje elas estão em ruínas e desabitadas
3 Because of their wickednes which they haue comitted, to prouoke me to anger in that they went to burne incense, and to serue other gods, who they knew not, neither they nor you nor your fathers.
3 por causa do mal que fizeram. Seus moradores provocaram a minha ira queimando incenso e prestando culto a outros deuses, que nem eles nem vocês nem seus antepassados jamais conheceram.
4 Howbeit I sent vnto you all my seruats the Prophets rising earely, and sending them, saying, Oh doe not this abominable thing that I hate.
4 Dia após dia, eu lhes enviei meus servos, os profetas, que disseram: ‘Não façam essa abominação detestável! ’
5 But they would not heare nor incline their eare to turne from their wickednes, and to burne no more incense vnto other gods.
5 Mas eles não me ouviram nem me deram atenção; não se converteram de sua impiedade nem cessaram de queimar incenso a outros deuses.
6 Wherefore my wrath, and mine anger was powred foorth and was kindled in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, and they are desolate, and wasted, as appeareth this day.
6 Por isso, o meu furor foi derramado e queimou as cidades de Judá e as ruas de Jerusalém, tornando-as na ruína desolada que são no dia de hoje.
7 Therefore now thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, Wherfore commit ye this great euill against your soules, to cut off from you man and woman, childe and suckling out of Iudah, and leaue you none to remaine?
7 "Assim diz o Senhor, o Deus dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Por que trazer uma desgraça tão grande sobre si mesmos, eliminando de Judá homens e mulheres, crianças e recém-nascidos, sem deixar remanescente algum?
8 In that yee prouoke mee vnto wrath with the woorkes of your hands, burning incense vnto other Gods in the lande of Egypt whither yee be gone to dwell: that yee might bring destruction vnto your selues, and that ye might be a curse and a reproch among all nations of the earth.
8 Por que vocês provocam a minha ira com o que fazem, queimando incenso a outros deuses no Egito, onde vocês vieram residir? Vocês se destruirão a si mesmos e se tornarão objeto de desprezo e afronta entre todas as nações da terra.
9 Haue yee forgotten the wickednes of your fathers, and the wickednesse of the Kings of Iudah and the wickednesse of their wiues and your owne wickednes and the wickednes of your wiues, which they haue committed in the land of Iudah and in the streetes of Ierusalem?
9 Acaso vocês se esqueceram da impiedade cometida por seus antepassados, pelos reis de Judá e as mulheres deles, e da impiedade cometida por vocês e suas mulheres na terra de Judá e nas ruas de Jerusalém?
10 They are not humbled vnto this day, neither haue they feared nor walked in my lawe nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
10 Até hoje eles não se humilharam nem mostraram reverência, e não têm seguido a minha lei e os decretos que coloquei diante de vocês e dos seus antepassados".
11 Therefore thus sayeth the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Beholde, I will set my face against you to euill and to destroy all Iudah,
11 "Portanto, assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel: Estou decidido a trazer desgraça sobre vocês e a destruir todo o Judá.
12 And I will take the remnant of Iudah, that haue set their faces to goe into the lande of Egypt there to dwell, and they shall all bee consumed and fall in the lande of Egypt: they shall euen bee consumed by the sworde and by the famine: they shall die from the least vnto the most, by the sworde, and by the famine, and they shall be a detestation and an astonishment and a curse and a reproche.
12 Tomarei o remanescente de Judá, que decidiu partir e residir no Egito, e todos morrerão no Egito. Cairão pela espada ou pela fome; desde o menor até o maior, morrerão pela espada ou pela fome. Eles se tornarão objeto de maldição e de pavor, de desprezo e de afronta.
13 For I will visite them that dwel in the land of Egypt, as I haue visited Ierusalem, by ye sworde, by the famine, and by the pestilence,
13 Castigarei aqueles que vivem no Egito com a guerra, a fome e a peste, como castiguei Jerusalém.
14 So that none of the remnant of Iudah, which are gone into the lande of Egypt to dwell there, shall escape or remaine, that they shoulde returne into the land of Iudah to the which they haue a desire to returne to dwell there: for none shall returne, but such as shall escape.
14 Ninguém dentre o remanescente de Judá que foi morar no Egito escapará ou sobreviverá para voltar à terra de Judá, para a qual anseiam voltar e nela anseiam viver; nenhum voltará, exceto uns poucos fugitivos".
15 Then all the men which knewe that their wiues had burnt incense vnto other gods and all the women that stoode by, a great multitude, euen all the people that dwelt in the lande of Egypt in Pathros, answered Ieremiah, saying,
15 Então, todos os homens que sabiam que as suas mulheres queimavam incenso a outros deuses, e todas as mulheres que estavam presentes, em grande número, e todo o povo que morava no Egito, e na região de Patros, disseram a Jeremias:
16 The worde that thou hast spoken vnto vs in the Name of the Lord, wee will not heare it of thee,
16 "Nós não daremos atenção à mensagem que você nos apresenta em nome do Senhor!
17 But wee will doe whatsoeuer thing goeth out of our owne mouth, as to burne incense vnto the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings vnto her, as we haue done, both we and our fathers, our Kings and our princes in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem: for then had wee plentie of vitailes and were well and felt none euill.
17 É certo que faremos tudo o que dissemos que faríamos: Queimaremos incenso à Rainha dos Céus e derramaremos ofertas de bebidas para ela, tal como fazíamos, nós e nossos antepassados, nossos reis e nossos líderes, nas cidades de Judá e nas ruas de Jerusalém. Naquela época tínhamos fartura de comida, éramos prósperos e em nada sofríamos.
18 But since wee left off to burne incense to the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings vnto her, we haue had scarcenesse of all things, and haue beene consumed by the sworde and by the famine.
18 Mas, desde que paramos de queimar incenso à Rainha dos Céus e de derramar ofertas de bebidas a ela, nada temos tido e temos perecido pela espada e pela fome".
19 And when we burnt incense to ye Queene of heauen, and powred out drinke offerings vnto her, did wee make her cakes to make her glad, and powre out drinke offerings vnto her without our husbands?
19 E as mulheres acrescentaram: "Quando queimávamos incenso à Rainha dos Céus e derramávamos ofertas de bebidas para ela, será que era sem o consentimento de nossos maridos que fazíamos bolos na forma da imagem dela e derramávamos ofertas de bebidas para ela? "
20 Then said Ieremiah vnto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had giuen him that answere, saying,
20 Então Jeremias disse a todo o povo, tanto aos homens como às mulheres que estavam respondendo a ele:
21 Did not the Lord remember the incense, that yee burnt in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, both you, and your fathers, your Kinges, and your princes, and the people of the land, and hath he not considered it?
21 "E o Senhor? Não se lembra ele do incenso queimado nas cidades de Judá e nas ruas de Jerusalém por vocês e por seus antepassados, seus reis e seus líderes e pelo povo da terra? Será que ele não pensa nisso?
22 So that the Lord could no longer forbeare, because of the wickednes of your inuentions, and because of the abominations, which ye haue committed: therefore is your lande desolate and an astonishment, and a curse and without inhabitant, as appeareth this day.
22 Quando o Senhor não pôde mais suportar as impiedades e as práticas repugnantes de vocês, a terra de vocês ficou devastada e desolada, e tornou-se objeto de maldição e desabitada, como se vê no dia de hoje.
23 Because ye haue burnt incense and because ye haue sinned against the Lord, and haue not obeyed the voyce of the Lord, nor walked in his Lawe, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies, therefore this plague is come vpon you, as appeareth this day.
23 Foi porque vocês queimaram incenso e pecaram contra o Senhor, e não obedeceram à sua palavra nem seguiram a sua lei, os seus decretos e os seus testemunhos, que esta desgraça caiu sobre vocês, como se vê no dia de hoje".
24 Moreouer Ieremiah saide vnto all the people and to all the women, Heare the word of the Lord, all Iudah that are in the land of Egypt.
24 Disse então Jeremias a todo o povo, inclusive às mulheres: "Ouçam a palavra do Senhor, todos vocês, judeus que estão no Egito.
25 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Ye and your wiues haue both spoken with your mouthes, and fulfilled with your hande, saying, We will performe our vowes that we haue vowed to burne incense to the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings to her: yee will perfourme your vowes and doe the things that yee haue vowed.
25 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel: Vocês e suas mulheres cumpriram o que prometeram quando disseram: ‘Certamente cumpriremos os votos que fizemos de queimar incenso e derramar ofertas de bebidas à Rainha dos Céus’. "Prossigam! Façam o que prometeram! Cumpram os seus votos!
26 Therefore heare the word of the Lord, all Iudah that dwel in the land of Egypt. Beholde, I haue sworne by my great Name, sayeth the Lord, that my Name shall no more be called vpon by the mouth of any man of Iudah, in all the lande of Egypt, saying, The Lord God liueth.
26 Mas ouçam a palavra do Senhor, todos vocês, judeus que vivem no Egito: ‘Eu juro pelo meu grande nome’, diz o Senhor, ‘que em todo o Egito ninguém de Judá voltará a invocar o meu nome ou a jurar pela vida do Soberano Senhor.
27 Behold, I wil watch ouer them for euil and not for good, and all men of Iudah that are in the land of Egypt, shalbe consumed by the sword, and by the famine, vntill they be vtterly destroied.
27 Vigiarei sobre eles para trazer-lhes a desgraça e não o bem; os judeus do Egito perecerão pela espada e pela fome até que sejam todos destruídos.
28 Yet a small nomber that escape the sworde, shall returne out of the lande of Egypt into the lande of Iudah: and all the remnant of Iudah that are gone into the lande of Egypt to dwell there, shall know whose words shall stad, mine or theirs.
28 Serão poucos os que escaparão da espada e voltarão do Egito para a terra de Judá. Então, todo o remanescente de Judá que veio residir no Egito saberá qual é a palavra que se realiza, a minha ou a deles.
29 And this shall be a signe vnto you, saith the Lord, whe I visit you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for euill.
29 " ‘Este será o sinal para vocês de que os castigarei neste lugar’, declara o Senhor, ‘e então vocês ficarão sabendo que as minhas ameaças de trazer-lhes desgraça certamente se realizarão’.
30 Thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I will giue Pharaoh Hophra King of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seeke his life: as I gaue Zedekiah King of Iudah into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel his enemie, who also sought his life.
30 Assim diz o Senhor: ‘Entregarei o faraó Hofra, rei do Egito, nas mãos dos seus inimigos que desejam tirar-lhe a vida, assim como entreguei Zedequias, rei de Judá, nas mãos de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, o inimigo que desejava tirar a vida dele’ ".
