1 The worde that came vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, in the tenth yere of Zedekiah king of Iudah, which was the eightenth yeere of Nebuchad-nezzar.
1 A palavra que veio a Jeremias da parte do SENHOR, no ano décimo de Zedequias, rei de Judá, o qual foi o décimo oitavo de Nabucodonosor.
2 For then the King of Babels hoste besieged Ierusalem: And Ieremiah the Prophet was shutte vp in the court of the prison, which was in the King of Iudahs house.
2 Ora, nesse tempo o exército do rei de babilônia cercava Jerusalém; e Jeremias, o profeta, estava encerrado no pátio da guarda que estava na casa do rei de Judá;
3 For Zedekiah King of Iudah had shut him vp, saying, Wherefore doest thou prophesie, and say, Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will giue this citie into the handes of the King of Babel, and he shall take it?
3 Porque Zedequias, rei de Judá, o tinha encerrado, dizendo: Por que profetizas tu, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que entrego esta cidade na mão do rei de babilônia, e ele a tomará;
4 And Zedekiah the King of Iudah shall not escape out of the hande of the Caldeans, but shall surely be deliuered into the handes of the King of Babel, and shall speake with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall beholde his face,
4 E Zedequias, rei de Judá, não escapará das mãos dos caldeus; mas certamente será entregue na mão do rei de babilônia, e com ele falará boca a boca, e os seus olhos verão os dele;
5 And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babel, and there shall he be, vntil I visit him, saith ye Lord: though ye fight with the Caldeans, ye shall not prosper.
5 E ele levará Zedequias para babilônia, e ali estará, até que eu o visite, diz o SENHOR e, ainda que pelejeis contra os caldeus, não ganhareis?
6 And Ieremiah said, The word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
6 Disse, pois, Jeremias: Veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
7 Beholde, Hanameel, the sonne of Shallum thine vncle, shall come vnto thee and say, Bye vnto thee my fielde, that is in Anathoth: for the title by kindred appertaineth vnto thee to bye it.
7 Eis que Hanameel, filho de Salum, teu tio, virá a ti dizendo: Compra para ti a minha herdade que está em Anatote, pois tens o direito de resgate para comprá-la.
8 So Hanameel, mine vncles sonne, came to mee in the court of the prison, according to the word of the Lord, and said vnto me, Bye my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the countrey of Beniamin: for the right of the possession is thine, and the purchase belongeth vnto thee: bye it for thee. Then I knewe that this was the worde of the Lord.
8 Veio, pois, a mim Hanameel, filho de meu tio, segundo a palavra do Senhor, ao pátio da guarda, e me disse: Compra agora a minha herdade que está em Anatote, na terra de Benjamim; porque teu é o direito de herança, e tens o resgate; compra-a para ti. Então entendi que isto era a palavra do Senhor.
9 And I bought the field of Hanameel, mine vncles sonne, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the siluer, euen seuen shekels, and tenne pieces of siluer.
9 Comprei, pois, a herdade de Hanameel, filho de meu tio, a qual está em Anatote; e pesei-lhe o dinheiro, dezessete siclos de prata.
10 And I writ it in the booke and signed it, and tooke witnesses, and weighed him the siluer in the balances.
10 E assinei a escritura, e selei-a, e fiz confirmar por testemunhas; e pesei-lhe o dinheiro numa balança.
11 So I tooke the booke of the possession, being sealed according to the Lawe, and custome, with the booke that was open,
11 E tomei a escritura da compra, selada segundo a lei e os estatutos, e a cópia aberta.
12 And I gaue the booke of the possession vnto Baruch the sonne of Neriah, the sonne of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine vncles sonne, and in the presence of the witnesses, written in the booke of the possession, before al the Iewes that sate in the court of the prison.
12 E dei a escritura da compra a Baruque, filho de Nerias, filho de Maaséias, na presença de Hanameel, filho de meu tio e na presença das testemunhas, que subscreveram a escritura da compra, e na presença de todos os judeus que se assentavam no pátio da guarda.
13 And I charged Baruch before them, saying,
13 E dei ordem a Baruque, na presença deles, dizendo:
14 Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Take the writings, euen this booke of the possession, both that is sealed, and this booke that is open, and put them in an earthen vessell, that they may continue a long time.
14 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Toma estas escrituras, este auto de compra, tanto a selada, como a aberta, e coloca-as num vaso de barro, para que se possam conservar muitos dias.
15 For the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel saith thus, Houses and fieldes, and vineyardes shall be possessed againe in this land.
15 Porque assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Ainda se comprarão casas, e campos, e vinhas nesta terra.
16 Now when I had deliuered the booke of the possession vnto Baruch, the sonne of Neriah, I prayed vnto the Lord, saying,
16 E depois que dei a escritura da compra a Baruque, filho de Nerias, orei ao Senhor, dizendo:
17 Ah Lord God, beholde, thou hast made the heauen and the earth by thy great power, and by thy stretched out arme, and there is nothing hard vnto thee.
17 Ah Senhor DEUS! Eis que tu fizeste os céus e a terra com o teu grande poder, e com o teu braço estendido; nada há que te seja demasiado difícil;
18 Thou shewest mercie vnto thousands, and recompensest the iniquitie of the fathers into the bosome of their children after them: O God the great and mightie, whose Name is ye Lord of hostes,
18 Tu que usas de benignidade com milhares, e retribuis a maldade dos pais ao seio dos filhos depois deles; o grande, o poderoso Deus cujo nome é o Senhor dos Exércitos;
19 Great in counsell, and mightie in worke, (for thine eyes are open vpon all the wayes of ye sonnes of men, to giue to euery one according to his wayes, and according to the fruite of his workes)
19 Grande em conselho, e magnífico em obras; porque os teus olhos estão abertos sobre todos os caminhos dos filhos dos homens, para dar a cada um segundo os seus caminhos e segundo o fruto das suas obras;
20 Which hast set signes and wonders in the land of Egypt vnto this day, and in Israel, and among all men, and hast made thee a Name, as appeareth this day,
20 Tu puseste sinais e maravilhas na terra do Egito até ao dia de hoje, tanto em Israel, como entre os outros homens, e te fizeste um nome, o qual tu tens neste dia.
21 And hast brought thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signes, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, with a stretched out arme, and with great terrour,
21 E tiraste o teu povo Israel da terra do Egito, com sinais e com maravilhas, e com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com grande espanto,
22 And hast giuen them this land, which thou diddest sweare to their fathers to giue them, euen a land, that floweth with milke and hony,
22 E lhes deste esta terra, que juraste a seus pais que lhes havias de dar, terra que mana leite e mel.
23 And they came in, and possessed it, but they obeyed not thy voyce, neither walked in thy Law: all that thou commaundedst them to doe, they haue not done: therefore thou hast caused this whole plague to come vpon them.
23 E entraram nela, e a possuíram, mas não obedeceram à tua voz, nem andaram na tua lei; tudo o que lhes mandaste que fizessem, eles não o fizeram; por isso ordenaste lhes sucedesse todo este mal.
24 Beholde, the mounts, they are come into the citie to take it, and the citie is giuen into the hande of the Caldeans, that fight against it by meanes of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence, and what thou hast spoken, is come to passe, and beholde, thou seest it.
24 Eis aqui os valados; já vieram contra a cidade para tomá-la, e a cidade está entregue na mão dos caldeus, que pelejam contra ela, pela espada, pela fome e pela pestilência; e o que disseste se cumpriu, e eis aqui o estás presenciando.
25 And thou hast sayd vnto me, O Lord God, Bye vnto thee the fielde for siluer, and take witnesses: for the citie shall be giuen into the hand of the Caldeans.
25 Contudo tu me disseste, ó Senhor DEUS: Compra para ti o campo por dinheiro, e faze que o confirmem testemunhas, embora a cidade já esteja entregue na mão dos caldeus.
26 Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Ieremiah, saying,
26 Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, dizendo:
27 Beholde, I am the LORD GOD of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
27 Eis que eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de toda a carne; acaso haveria alguma coisa demasiado difícil para mim?
28 Therefore thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I wil giue this citie into the hand of the Caldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar, King of Babel, and he shall take it.
28 Portanto assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que eu entrego esta cidade na mão dos caldeus, e na mão de Nabucodonosor, rei de babilônia, e ele a tomará.
29 And the Caldeans shall come and fight against this citie, and set fire on this citie and burne it, with the houses, vpon whose rouses they haue offred incense vnto Baal, and powred drinke offrings vnto other gods, to prouoke me vnto anger.
29 E os caldeus, que pelejam contra esta cidade, entrarão nela, e pôr-lhe-ão fogo, e queimarão, as casas sobre cujos terraços queimaram incenso a Baal e ofereceram libações a outros deuses, para me provocarem à ira.
30 For the children of Israel, and the children of Iudah haue surely done euill before me from their youth: for the children of Israel haue surely prouoked me to anger with the workes of their hands, saith the Lord.
30 Porque os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judá não fizeram senão mal aos meus olhos, desde a sua mocidade; porque os filhos de Israel nada fizeram senão provocar-me à ira com as obras das suas mãos, diz o Senhor.
31 Therefore this citie hath bene vnto me as a prouocation of mine anger, and of my wrath, from the day, that they built it, euen vnto this day, that I should remoue it out of my sight,
31 Porque para a minha ira e para o meu furor me tem sido esta cidade, desde o dia em que a edificaram, e até ao dia de hoje, para que a tirasse da minha presença;
32 Because of all the euill of the children of Israel, and of the children of Iudah, which they haue done to prouoke mee to anger, euen they, their Kings, their Princes, their Priests, and their Prophets, and the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem.
32 Por causa de toda a maldade dos filhos de Israel, e dos filhos de Judá, que fizeram, para me provocarem à ira, eles e os seus reis, os seus príncipes, os seus sacerdotes, e os seus profetas, como também os homens de Judá e os moradores de Jerusalém.
33 And they haue turned vnto me the backe and not the face: though I taught them rising vp earely, and instructing them, yet they were not obedient to receiue doctrine,
33 E viraram-me as costas, e não o rosto; ainda que eu os ensinava, madrugando e ensinando-os, contudo eles não deram ouvidos, para receberem o ensino.
34 But they set their abominations in ye house (whereupon my Name was called) to defile it,
34 Antes puseram as suas abominações na casa que se chama pelo meu nome, para a profanarem.
35 And they built the hie places of Baal, which are in the valley of Ben-hinnom, to cause their sonnes and their daughters to passe through the fire vnto Molech, which I commanded them not, neither came it into my minde, that they should doe such abomination, to cause Iudah to sinne.
35 E edificaram os altos de Baal, que estão no Vale do Filho de Hinom, para fazerem passar seus filhos e suas filhas pelo fogo a Moloque; o que nunca lhes ordenei, nem veio ao meu coração, que fizessem tal abominação, para fazerem pecar a Judá.
36 And nowe therefore, thus hath the Lord God of Israel spoken, concerning this citie, whereof ye say, It shalbe deliuered into the hand of the King of Babel by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence,
36 E por isso agora assim diz o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, acerca desta cidade, da qual vós dizeis: Já está dada na mão do rei de babilônia, pela espada, pela fome, e pela pestilência:
37 Beholde, I will gather them out of all countreys, wherein I haue scattered them in mine anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation, and I wil bring them againe vnto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely.
37 Eis que eu os congregarei de todas as terras, para onde os tenho lançado na minha ira, e no meu furor, e na minha grande indignação; e os tornarei a trazer a este lugar, e farei que habitem nele seguramente.
38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
38 E eles serão o meu povo, e eu lhes serei o seu Deus;
39 And I wil giue them one heart and one way that they may feare me for euer for ye wealth of them, and of their children after them.
39 E lhes darei um mesmo coração, e um só caminho, para que me temam todos os dias, para seu bem, e o bem de seus filhos, depois deles.
40 And I wil make an euerlasting couenant with them, that I wil neuer turne away from them to doe them good, but I wil put my feare in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
40 E farei com eles uma aliança eterna de não me desviar de fazer-lhes o bem; e porei o meu temor nos seus corações, para que nunca se apartem de mim.
41 Yea, I wil delite in them to do them good, and I wil plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart, and with all my soule.
41 E alegrar-me-ei deles, fazendo-lhes bem; e plantá-los-ei nesta terra firmemente, com todo o meu coração e com toda a minha alma.
42 For thus sayth the Lord, Like as I haue brought all this great plague vpon this people, so wil I bring vpon them all the good that I haue promised them.
42 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Como eu trouxe sobre este povo todo este grande mal, assim eu trarei sobre ele todo o bem que lhes tenho declarado.
43 And the fields shalbe possessed in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast, and shalbe giuen into the hand of the Caldeans.
43 E comprar-se-ão campos nesta terra, da qual vós dizeis: Está desolada, sem homens, sem animais; está entregue na mão dos caldeus.
44 Men shall buy fields for siluer, and make writings and seale them, and take witnesses in the land of Beniamin, and round about Ierusalem, and in the cities of Iudah, and in the cities of the mountaines, and in the cities of the plaine, and in the cities of the South: for I wil cause their captiuitie to returne, saith the Lord.
44 Comprarão campos por dinheiro, e assinarão as escrituras, e as selarão, e farão que confirmem testemunhas, na terra de Benjamim, e nos contornos de Jerusalém, e nas cidades de Judá, e nas cidades das montanhas, e nas cidades das planícies, e nas cidades do sul; porque os farei voltar do seu cativeiro, diz o Senhor.
