1 In the yeere of the death of King Vzziah, I saw also the Lord sitting vpon an high throne, and lifted vp, and the lower partes thereof filled the Temple.
1 No ano da morte do rei Uzias, eu vi o Senhor assentado sobre um alto e sublime trono, e as abas de suas vestes enchiam o templo.
2 The Seraphims stoode vpon it: euery one had sixe wings: with twaine he couered his face, and with twaine hee couered his feete, and with twaine he did flie.
2 Serafins estavam por cima dele; cada um tinha seis asas: com duas cobria o rosto, com duas cobria os seus pés e com duas voava.
3 And one cryed to another, and sayde, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hostes: the whole world is full of his glory.
3 E clamavam uns para os outros, dizendo: Santo, santo, santo é o Senhor dos Exércitos; toda a terra está cheia da sua glória.
4 And the lintles of the doore cheekes moued at the voyce of him that cryed, and the house was filled with smoke.
4 As bases do limiar se moveram à voz do que clamava, e a casa se encheu de fumaça.
5 Then I sayd, Wo is me: for I am vndone, because I am a man of polluted lips, and I dwell in the middes of a people of polluted lips: for mine eyes haue seene the King and Lord of hostes.
5 Então, disse eu: ai de mim! Estou perdido! Porque sou homem de lábios impuros, habito no meio de um povo de impuros lábios, e os meus olhos viram o Rei, o Senhor dos Exércitos!
6 Then flewe one of the Seraphims vnto me with an hote cole in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with the tongs:
6 Então, um dos serafins voou para mim, trazendo na mão uma brasa viva, que tirara do altar com uma tenaz;
7 And he touched my mouth, and sayd, Loe, this hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquitie shall be taken away, and thy sinne shalbe purged.
7 com a brasa tocou a minha boca e disse: Eis que ela tocou os teus lábios; a tua iniquidade foi tirada, e perdoado, o teu pecado.
8 Also I heard the voyce of the Lord, saying, Whome shall I send? and who shall goe for vs? Then I sayd, Here am I, send me.
8 Depois disto, ouvi a voz do Senhor, que dizia: A quem enviarei, e quem há de ir por nós? Disse eu: eis-me aqui, envia-me a mim.
9 And he sayd, Goe, and say vnto this people, Ye shall heare in deede, but ye shall not vnderstand: ye shall plainely see, and not perceiue.
9 Então, disse ele: Vai e dize a este povo: Ouvi, ouvi e não entendais; vede, vede, mas não percebais.
10 Make the heart of this people fatte, make their eares heauie, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and heare with their eares, and vnderstand with their hearts, and conuert, and he heale them.
10 Torna insensível o coração deste povo, endurece-lhe os ouvidos e fecha-lhe os olhos, para que não venha ele a ver com os olhos, a ouvir com os ouvidos e a entender com o coração, e se converta, e seja salvo.
11 Then sayd I, Lord, howe long? And he answered, Vntill the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be vtterly desolate,
11 Então, disse eu: até quando, Senhor? Ele respondeu: Até que sejam desoladas as cidades e fiquem sem habitantes, as casas fiquem sem moradores, e a terra seja de todo assolada,
12 And the Lord haue remoued men farre away, and there be a great desolation in the mids of the land.
12 e o Senhor afaste dela os homens, e no meio da terra seja grande o desamparo.
13 But yet in it shalbe a tenth, and shall returne, and shalbe eaten vp as an elme or an oke, which haue a substance in them, when they cast their leaues: so the holy seede shall be the substance thereof.
13 Mas, se ainda ficar a décima parte dela, tornará a ser destruída. Como terebinto e como carvalho, dos quais, depois de derribados, ainda fica o toco, assim a santa semente é o seu toco.
