1 Ho, euery one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and ye that haue no siluer, come, bye and eate: come, I say, bye wine and milke without siluer and without money.
1 “Alguém tem sede? Venha e beba, mesmo que não tenha dinheiro! Venha, beba vinho ou leite; é tudo de graça!
2 Wherefore doe ye lay out siluer and not for bread? and your labour without being satisfied? hearken diligently vnto me, and eate that which is good, and let your soule delite in fatnes.
2 Por que gastar seu dinheiro com comida que não fortalece? Por que pagar por aquilo que não satisfaz? Ouçam-me, e vocês comerão o que é bom e se deliciarão com os alimentos mais saborosos.
3 Encline your eares, and come vnto me: heare, and your soule shall liue, and I will make an euerlasting couenant with you, euen the sure mercies of Dauid.
3 “Venham a mim com os ouvidos bem abertos; escutem, e encontrarão vida. Farei com vocês uma aliança permanente, o amor que fielmente prometi a Davi.
4 Beholde, I gaue him for a witnes to the people, for a prince and a master vnto the people.
4 Vejam como eu o usei para mostrar meu poder aos povos; eu o fiz governante das nações.
5 Beholde, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and a nation that knew not thee, shall runne vnto thee, because of the Lord thy God, and the holy one of Israel: for hee hath glorified thee.
5 Vocês também darão ordens a nações que não conhecem, e povos desconhecidos virão correndo lhes obedecer. Pois eu, o S o Santo de Israel, os tornei gloriosos.”
6 Seeke ye the Lord while he may be found: call ye vpon him while he is neere.
6 Busquem o S enhor enquanto podem achá-lo; invoquem-no agora, enquanto ele está perto.
7 Let the wicked forsake his wayes, and the vnrighteous his owne imaginations, and returne vnto the Lord, and he wil haue mercy vpon him: and to our God, for hee is very ready to forgiue.
7 Que os perversos mudem de conduta e deixem de lado até mesmo a ideia de fazer o mal. Que se voltem para o S sim, voltem-se para nosso Deus, pois ele os perdoará generosamente.
8 For my thoughtes are not your thoughts, neither are your wayes my wayes, sayth the Lord.
8 “Meus pensamentos são muito diferentes dos seus”, diz o S enhor , “e meus caminhos vão muito além de seus caminhos.
9 For as ye heauens are higher then the earth, so are my wayes higher then your wayes, and my thoughtes aboue your thoughts.
9 Pois, assim como os céus são mais altos que a terra, meus caminhos são mais altos que seus caminhos, e meus pensamentos, mais altos que seus pensamentos.
10 Surely as the raine commeth downe and the snow from heauen, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth and maketh it to bring forth and bud, that it may giue seede to the sower, and bread vnto him that eateth,
10 “A chuva e a neve descem dos céus e na terra permanecem até regá-la. Fazem brotar os cereais e produzem sementes para o agricultor e pão para os famintos.
11 So shall my worde be, that goeth out of my mouth: it shall not returne vnto me voyde, but it shall accomplish that which I will, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
11 O mesmo acontece à minha palavra: eu a envio, e ela sempre produz frutos. Ela fará o que desejo e prosperará aonde quer que eu a enviar.
12 Therefore ye shall go out with ioy, and be led forth with peace: the mountaines and the hilles shall breake foorth before you into ioye, and all the trees of the fielde shall clap their handes.
12 Vocês viverão com alegria e paz; os montes e as colinas cantarão, e as árvores do campo baterão palmas.
13 For thornes there shall grow firre trees: for nettles shall growe the myrrhe tree, and it shalbe to the Lord for a name, and for an euerlasting signe that shall not be taken away.
13 Onde antes havia espinhos, crescerá o cipreste; onde antes havia urtigas, brotará a murta. Isso resultará em glória para o nome do S será sinal permanente, que nunca será destruído.”
