1 Who will beleeue our report? and to whom is the arme of the Lord reueiled?
1 Quem deu crédito à nossa pregação? E a quem se manifestou o braço do Senhor ?
2 But hee shall growe vp before him as a branche, and as a roote out of a dry grounde: he hath neither forme nor beautie: when we shall see him, there shall be no forme that wee should desire him.
2 Porque foi subindo como renovo perante ele e como raiz de uma terra seca; não tinha parecer nem formosura; e, olhando nós para ele, nenhuma beleza víamos, para que o desejássemos.
3 He is despised and reiected of men: he is a man full of sorowes and hath experience of infirmities: we hidde as it were our faces from him: he was despised and we esteemed him not.
3 Era desprezado e o mais indigno entre os homens, homem de dores, experimentado nos trabalhos e, como um de quem os homens escondiam o rosto, era desprezado, e não fizemos dele caso algum.
4 Surely hee hath borne our infirmities, and caried our sorowes: yet wee did iudge him, as plagued, and smitten of God, and humbled.
4 Verdadeiramente, ele tomou sobre si as nossas enfermidades e as nossas dores levou sobre si; e nós o reputamos por aflito, ferido de Deus e oprimido.
5 But hee was wounded for our transgressions, hee was broken for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was vpon him, and with his stripes we are healed.
5 Mas ele foi ferido pelas nossas transgressões e moído pelas nossas iniquidades; o castigo que nos traz a paz estava sobre ele, e, pelas suas pisaduras, fomos sarados.
6 All we like sheepe haue gone astraye: wee haue turned euery one to his owne way, and the Lord hath layed vpon him the iniquitie of vs all.
6 Todos nós andamos desgarrados como ovelhas; cada um se desviava pelo seu caminho, mas o Senhor fez cair sobre ele a iniquidade de nós todos.
7 Hee was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet did he not open his mouth: hee is brought as a sheepe to the slaughter, and as a sheepe before her shearer is dumme, so he openeth not his mouth.
7 Ele foi oprimido, mas não abriu a boca; como um cordeiro, foi levado ao matadouro e, como a ovelha muda perante os seus tosquiadores, ele não abriu a boca.
8 Hee was taken out from prison, and from iudgement: and who shall declare his age? for he was cut out of the lande of the liuing: for the transgression of my people was he plagued.
8 Da opressão e do juízo foi tirado; e quem contará o tempo da sua vida? Porquanto foi cortado da terra dos viventes e pela transgressão do meu povo foi ele atingido.
9 And he made his graue with the wicked, and with the riche in his death, though hee had done no wickednesse, neither was any deceite in his mouth.
9 E puseram a sua sepultura com os ímpios e com o rico, na sua morte; porquanto nunca fez injustiça, nem houve engano na sua boca.
10 Yet the Lord would breake him, and make him subiect to infirmities: when hee shall make his soule an offring for sinne, he shall see his seede and shall prolong his dayes, and the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
10 Todavia, ao Senhor agradou o moê-lo, fazendo- o enfermar; quando a sua alma se puser por expiação do pecado, verá a sua posteridade, prolongará os dias, e o bom prazer do Senhor prosperará na sua mão.
11 Hee shall see of the trauaile of his soule, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous seruant iustifie many: for hee shall beare their iniquities.
11 O trabalho da sua alma ele verá e ficará satisfeito; com o seu conhecimento, o meu servo, o justo, justificará a muitos, porque as iniquidades deles levará sobre si.
12 Therefore will I giue him a portion with the great, and he shall deuide the spoyle with the strong, because hee hath powred out his soule vnto death: and he was counted with the transgressers, and he bare the sinne of many, and prayed for the trespassers.
12 Pelo que lhe darei a parte de muitos, e, com os poderosos, repartirá ele o despojo; porquanto derramou a sua alma na morte e foi contado com os transgressores; mas ele levou sobre si o pecado de muitos e pelos transgressores intercedeu.
