1 Aries, arise: put on thy strength, O Zion: put on thy garments of thy beautie, O Ierusalem, the holy citie: for hencefoorth there shall no more come into thee the vncircumcised and the vncleane.
1 Desperta, desperta, põe teus adornos, Sião, veste teus trajes de gala, Jerusalém, cidade santa, porque não mais verás penetrar em tua casa nem incircuncisos nem impuros!
2 Shake thy selfe from the dust: arise, and sit downe, O Ierusalem: loose the bandes of thy necke, O thou captiue daughter, Zion.
2 Sacode a poeira que te cobre, levanta-te, Jerusalém, e reina, desvencilha-te das cadeias que te prendem o pescoço, filha cativa de Sião.
3 For thus sayeth the Lord, Yee were solde for naught: therefore shall ye be redeemed without money.
3 Porque eis o que diz o Senhor: vós fostes vendidos gratuitamente e sereis resgatados sem pagamento.
4 For thus saith the Lord God, My people went downe afore time into Egypt to soiourne there, and Asshur oppressed them without cause.
4 Porque eis o que diz o Senhor Deus: meu povo desceu outrora do Egito para aí habitar, depois a Assíria o oprimiu sem motivo.
5 Nowe therefore what haue I here, saith the Lord, that my people is taken away for naught, and they that rule ouer them, make them to howle, saith the Lord? and my Name all the day continually is blasphemed?
5 E agora que faço eu aqui, diz o Senhor, já que meu povo foi levado gratuitamente? Seus opressores soltam brados de triunfo, diz o Senhor, e meu nome é ultrajado todo dia, sem cessar.
6 Therefore my people shall know my Name: therefore they shall know in that day, that I am he that doe speake: beholde, it is I.
6 Por isso meu povo vai saber meu nome: naquele dia compreenderá que sou eu quem diz: Eis-me aqui!
7 How beautifull vpon the mountaines are the feete of him, that declareth and publisheth peace? that declareth good tidings, and publisheth saluation, saying vnto Zion, Thy God reigneth?
7 Como são belos sobre as montanhas os pés do mensageiro que anuncia a felicidade, que traz as boas novas e anuncia a libertação, que diz a Sião: Teu Deus reina!
8 The voyce of thy watchmen shalbe heard: they shall lift vp their voyce, and shoute together: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring againe Zion.
8 Ouve! Tuas sentinelas elevam a voz, e todas juntas soltam alegres gritos, porque vêem com seus próprios olhos o Senhor voltar a Sião.
9 O ye desolate places of Ierusalem, bee glad and reioyce together: for the Lord hath comforted his people: he hath redeemed Ierusalem.
9 Prorrompei todas em brados de alegria, ruínas de Jerusalém, porque o Senhor se compadece de seu povo, e resgata Jerusalém!
10 The Lord hath made bare his holy arme in the sight of all the Gentiles, and all the endes of the earth shall see the saluation of our God.
10 O Senhor descobre seu braço santo aos olhares das nações, e todos os confins da terra verão o triunfo de nosso Deus.
11 Depart, depart ye: goe out from thence and touche no vncleane thing: goe out of the middes of her: be ye cleane, that beare the vessels of the Lord.
11 Parti, parti! Retirai-vos daí, não toqueis nada de impuro! Deixai estas paragens, purificai-vos, vós que levais os vasos do Senhor,
12 For ye shall not goe out with haste, nor depart by fleeing away: but the Lord will goe before you, and the God of Israel will gather you together.
12 porque não partireis com precipitação, não vos retirareis como fugitivos, porquanto diante de vós irá o Senhor, e o Deus de Israel seguirá à vossa retaguarda.
13 Beholde, my seruant shall prosper: he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very hie.
13 Eis que meu Servo prosperará, crescerá, elevar-se-á, será exaltado.
14 As many were astonied at thee (his visage was so deformed of men, and his forme of the sonnes of men) so shall hee sprinkle many nations: the Kings shall shut their mouthes at him: for that which had not bene tolde them, shall they see, and that which they had not heard, shall they vnderstande.
14 Assim como, à sua vista, muitos ficaram embaraçados - tão desfigurado estava que havia perdido a aparência humana -,
15 — ausente —
15 assim o admirarão muitos povos: os reis permanecerão mudos diante dele, porque verão o que nunca lhes tinha sido contado, e observarão um prodígio inaudito.
