1 Woe to thee that spoylest, and wast not spoyled: and doest wickedly, and they did not wickedly against thee: when thou shalt cease to spoyle, thou shalt be spoyled: when thou shalt make an ende of doing wickedly, they shall doe wickedly against thee.
1 Ai de ti que devasta e tu não foste devastado, e negocias traiçoeiramente e eles não negociam traiçoeiramente contigo! Quando tu parares de devastar tu serás devastado e quando tu colocares um fim ao negociar traiçoeiramente eles negociarão traiçoeiramente contigo.
2 O Lord, haue mercie vpon vs, wee haue waited for thee: be thou, which waste their arme in the morning, our helpe also in time of trouble.
2 Ó SENHOR, sê benigno para conosco. Nós temos esperado por ti, sê tu o braço deles a cada manhã, também nossa salvação no tempo de dificuldade.
3 At the noise of the tumult, the people fled: at thine exalting the nations were scattered.
3 Ao ruído do tumulto do povo fugitivo, ao Teu levantar, as nações foram espalhadas.
4 And your spoyle shall be gathered like the gathering of caterpillers: and he shall go against him like the leaping of grashoppers.
4 E o seu despojo será reunido como o ajuntamento da lagarta. Como o espalhar rápido para frente e para trás das locustas, assim ele se espalhará sobre eles.
5 The Lord is exalted: for hee dwelleth on hie: he hath filled Zion with iudgement and iustice.
5 O SENHOR é exaltado, porque ele habita no alto. Ele tem preenchido Sião com julgamento e justiça.
6 And there shall be stabilitie of thy times, strength, saluation, wisdome and knowledge: for the feare of the Lord shalbe his treasure.
6 E sabedoria e conhecimento serão a estabilidade de teus tempos, e força de salvação. O temor do SENHOR é o seu tesouro.
7 Behold, their messengers shall cry without, and ye ambassadours of peace shall weepe bitterly.
7 Eis que seus valentes chorarão do lado de fora. Os embaixadores de paz chorarão amargamente.
8 The pathes are waste: the wayfaring man ceaseth: hee hath broken the couenant: hee hath contemned the cities: he regarded no man.
8 As estradas permanecem desertas, o homem que viaja a pé para. Ele tem quebrado o pacto, ele tem desprezado as cidades, ele não estima nenhum homem.
9 The earth mourneth and fainteth: Lebanon is ashamed, and hewen downe: Sharon is like a wildernes, and Bashan is shaken and Carmel.
9 A terra pranteia e definha. O Líbano está envergonhado e posto abaixo. Sarom é semelhante a um deserto. Basã e o Carmelo livram-se de seus frutos.
10 Now will I arise, saith the Lord: now will I be exalted, now will I lift vp my selfe.
10 Agora, levantar-me-ei, diz o SENHOR. Agora, eu serei exaltado; agora elevar-me-ei.
11 Ye shall conceiue chaffe, and bring forth stubble: the fire of your breath shall deuoure you.
11 Vós concebereis palha da casca de cereais, vós produzireis restolho. Vosso hálito, como fogo, vos devorará.
12 And the people shall be as the burning of lime: and as the thornes cut vp, shall they be burnt in the fire.
12 E o povo será como o queimar da cal, como espinheiros partidos serão eles queimados no fogo.
13 Heare, yee that are farre off, what I haue done, and ye that are neere, know my power.
13 Ouvi, vós que estais distantes, o que eu tenho feito. E vós que estais perto, reconhecei meu poder.
14 The sinners in Zion are afraide: a feare is come vpon the hypocrites: who among vs shall dwel with the deuouring fire? who among vs shall dwell with the euerlasting burnings?
14 Os pecadores em Sião estão com medo. Pavor tem surpreendido os hipócritas. Quem dentre nós habitará com o fogo devorador? Quem dentre nós habitará com as chamas eternas?
15 Hee that walketh in iustice, and speaketh righteous things, refusing gaine of oppression, shaking his handes from taking of gifts, stopping his eares from hearing of blood, and shutting his eyes from seeing euill.
15 O que anda em justiça e fala retamente. O que despreza o ganho de opressões, que sacode suas mãos de segurar subornos, que tampa seus ouvidos de ouvir de sangue e fecha seus olhos de ver o mal.
16 He shall dwell on hie: his defence shall be the munitions of rockes: bread shalbe giuen him, and his waters shalbe sure.
16 Ele habitará no alto, as fortificações das rochas serão seu lugar de defesa. Pão será dado a ele, suas águas estarão seguras.
17 Thine eyes shall see the King in his glory: they shall beholde the lande farre off.
17 Teus olhos verão o Rei em sua beleza. Eles observarão a terra que está muito distante.
18 Thine heart shall meditate feare, Where is the scribe? where is the receiuer? where is hee that counted the towres?
18 Teu coração refletirá sobre o terror. Onde está o escriba? Onde está o cobrador? Onde está aquele que contou as torres?
19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a darke speache, that thou canst not perceiue, and of a stammering tongue that thou canst not vnderstande.
19 Tu não verás um povo violento, um povo de uma fala mais dificultosa do que vós possais entender, de um idioma de fala hesitante, que tu não possas compreender.
20 Looke vpon Zion the citie of our solemne feastes: thine eyes shall see Ierusalem a quiet habitation, a Tabernacle that can not be remooued: and the stakes thereof can neuer be taken away, neither shall any of the cordes thereof be broken.
20 Considera Sião, a cidade de nossas solenidades; teus olhos verão Jerusalém, uma calma habitação, um tabernáculo que não será desmontado. Nenhuma das estacas daquele lugar será jamais removida, nem qualquer uma das cordas dali será partida.
21 For surely there the mightie Lord will be vnto vs, as a place of floods and broade riuers, whereby shall passe no shippe with oares, neither shall great shippe passe thereby.
21 Porém, lá o glorioso SENHOR será para nós um lugar de largos rios e córregos, em que nenhum navio com remos irá, nem navio majestoso passará por ali.
22 For the Lord is our Iudge, the Lord is our lawe giuer: the Lord is our King, he will saue vs.
22 Porque o SENHOR é nosso juiz; o SENHOR é nosso legislador; o SENHOR é nosso Rei. Ele nos salvará.
23 Thy cordes are loosed: they could not well strengthen their maste, neither coulde they spread the saile: then shall the praye be deuided for a great spoile: yea, the lame shall take away the pray.
23 Tuas cordas estão frouxas, elas não podem fortalecer adequadamente seu mastro. Elas não podem estender a vela, então a presa de um grande despojo é dividida; os coxos se darão ao saque.
24 And none inhabitant shall say, I am sicke: the people that dwell therein, shall haue their iniquitie forgiuen.
24 E os habitantes não dirão: Estou enfermo. O povo que habita nela será perdoado de sua iniquidade.
