1 Behold, a King shall reigne in iustice, and the princes shall rule in iudgement.
1 Reinará um rei com justiça, e dominarão os príncipes segundo o juízo.
2 And that man shall bee as an hiding place from the winde, and as a refuge for the tempest: as riuers of water in a drie place, and as the shadowe of a great rocke in a weary land.
2 E será aquele varão como um esconderijo contra o vento, e como um refúgio contra a tempestade, e como ribeiros de águas em lugares secos, e como a sombra de uma grande rocha em terra sedenta.
3 The eyes of the seeing shall not be shut, and the eares of them that heare, shall hearken.
3 E os olhos dos que veem não olharão para trás; e os ouvidos dos que ouvem estarão atentos.
4 And the heart of the foolish shall vnderstand knowledge, and the tongue of the stutters shalbe ready to speake distinctly.
4 E o coração dos imprudentes entenderá a sabedoria; e a língua dos gagos estará pronta para falar distintamente.
5 A nigard shall no more be called liberall, nor the churle riche.
5 Ao louco nunca mais se chamará nobre; e do avarento nunca mais se dirá que é generoso.
6 But the nigarde will speake of nigardnesse, and his heart will worke iniquitie, and do wickedly, and speake falsely against the Lord, to make emptie the hungrie soule, and to cause the drinke of the thirstie to faile.
6 Porque o louco fala loucamente, e o seu coração pratica a iniquidade, para usar de hipocrisia, e para proferir erros contra o Senhor , e para deixar vazia a alma do faminto, e para fazer com que o sedento venha a ter falta de bebida.
7 For the weapons of the churle are wicked: hee deuiseth wicked counsels, to vndoe the poore with lying words: and to speake against the poore in iudgement.
7 Também todos os instrumentos do avarento são maus; ele maquina invenções malignas, para destruir os mansos com palavras falsas, mesmo quando o pobre chega a falar retamente.
8 But the liberall man will deuise of liberall things, and he will continue his liberalitie.
8 Mas o nobre projeta coisas nobres e, pela nobreza, está em pé.
9 Rise vp, ye women that are at ease: heare my voyce, ye carelesse daughters: hearken to my wordes.
9 Levantai-vos, mulheres que estais em repouso, e ouvi a minha voz; e vós, filhas que estais tão seguras, inclinai os ouvidos às minhas palavras.
10 Yee women, that are carelesse, shall be in feare aboue a yeere in dayes: for the vintage shall faile, and the gatherings shall come no more.
10 Porque daqui a um ano e dias vireis a ser turbadas, ó mulheres que estais tão seguras; porque a vindima se acabará, e a colheita não virá.
11 Yee women, that are at ease, be astonied: feare, O yee carelesse women: put off the clothes: make bare, and girde sackcloth vpon the loynes.
11 Tremei, mulheres que estais em repouso, e turbai-vos, vós que estais tão seguras; despi-vos, e ponde-vos nuas, e cingi com panos de saco os vossos lombos.
12 Men shall lament for the teates, euen for the pleasant fieldes, and for the fruitefull vine.
12 Feri os peitos sobre os campos desejáveis e sobre as vides frutuosas.
13 Vpon the lande of my people shall growe thornes and briers: yea, vpon all the houses of ioye in the citie of reioysing,
13 Sobre a terra do meu povo virão espinheiros e sarças, como também sobre todas as casas de alegria, na cidade que anda pulando de prazer.
14 Because the palace shalbe forsaken, and the noise of the citie shalbe left: the towre and fortresse shalbe dennes for euer, and the delite of wilde asses, and a pasture for flockes,
14 Porque o palácio será abandonado, o ruído da cidade cessará; Ofel e as torres da guarda servirão de cavernas eternamente, para alegria dos jumentos monteses e para pasto dos gados,
15 Vntill the Spirit be powred vpon vs from aboue, and the wildernes become a fruitfull fielde, and the plenteous fielde be counted as a forest.
15 até que se derrame sobre nós o Espírito lá do alto; então, o deserto se tornará em campo fértil, e o campo fértil será reputado por um bosque.
16 And iudgement shall dwel in the desert, and iustice shall remaine in the fruitfull fielde.
16 E o juízo habitará no deserto, e a justiça morará no campo fértil.
17 And the worke of iustice shall bee peace, euen the worke of iustice and quietnesse, and assurance for euer.
17 E o efeito da justiça será paz, e a operação da justiça, repouso e segurança, para sempre.
18 And my people shall dwell in the tabernacle of peace, and in sure dwellings, and in safe resting places.
18 E o meu povo habitará em morada de paz, e em moradas bem seguras, e em lugares quietos de descanso,
19 When it haileth, it shall fall on the forest, and the citie shall be set in the lowe place.
19 ainda que caia saraiva, e caia o bosque, e a cidade seja inteiramente abatida.
20 Blessed are ye that sowe vpon all waters, and driue thither the feete of the oxe and the asse.
20 Bem-aventurados vós, que semeais sobre todas as águas e que dais liberdade ao pé do boi e do jumento.
