1 Again the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
1 A palavra do Senhor veio a mim, dizendo:
2 Sonne of man, Set thy face towardes the mountaines of Israel, and prophecie against them,
2 — Filho do homem, volte o seu rosto para os montes de Israel e profetize contra eles, dizendo:
3 And say, Ye mountaines of Israel, heare the worde of the Lord God: thus sayth the Lord God to the mountaines and to the hilles, to the riuers and to the valleis, Beholde, I, euen I will bring a sworde vpon you, and I will destroy your hie places:
3 Montes de Israel, ouçam a palavra do Senhor Deus. Assim diz o Senhor Deus aos montes e às colinas, aos desfiladeiros e aos vales: Eis que eu, eu mesmo, trarei a espada sobre vocês e destruirei os seus lugares altos.
4 And your altars shalbe desolate, and your images of the sunne shalbe broken: and I will cast downe your slaine men before your idoles.
4 Os altares de sacrifício serão destruídos, e os altares onde vocês queimam incenso serão quebrados. Farei com que os mortos caiam diante dos seus ídolos.
5 And I will lay the dead carkeises of the children of Israel before their idoles, and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
5 Porei os cadáveres dos filhos de Israel diante dos seus ídolos e espalharei os ossos de vocês ao redor dos seus altares.
6 In all your dwelling places the cities shalbe desolate, and the hie places shalbe laide waste, so that your altars shalbe made waste and desolate, and your idoles shalbe broken, and cease, and your images of the sunne shalbe cut in pieces, and your workes shalbe abolished.
6 Onde quer que vocês morarem, as cidades serão destruídas e os lugares altos ficarão em ruínas, para que os altares sejam destruídos e arruinados, os seus ídolos sejam quebrados e extintos, os seus altares do incenso sejam eliminados, e as obras que vocês realizaram sejam desfeitas.
7 And the slaine shall fall in the middes of you, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
7 Os mortos cairão no meio de vocês, e vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor .
8 Yet will I leaue a remnant, that you may haue some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when you shalbe scattred through the countreyes.
8 — Mas deixarei um resto, porque alguns de vocês escaparão da espada entre as nações, quando forem espalhados por outras terras.
9 And they that escape of you, shall remember me among the nations, where they shalbe in captiuitie, because I am grieued for their whorish hearts, which haue departed from mee, and for their eyes, which haue gone a whoring after their idoles, and they shalbe displeased in them selues for the euils, which they haue committed in all their abominations.
9 Aqueles que escaparem se lembrarão de mim entre as nações para onde foram levados em cativeiro. Lembrarão como eu sofri por causa do seu coração infiel, que se afastou de mim, e por causa dos seus olhos, que se prostituíram com os seus ídolos. Eles terão nojo de si mesmos, por causa das maldades que fizeram em todas as suas abominações.
10 And they shall knowe that I am the Lord, and that I haue not saide in vaine, that I woulde doe this euill vnto them.
10 Saberão que eu sou o Senhor e que não foi sem motivo que eu disse que lhes faria este mal.
11 Thus saith the Lord God, Smite with thine hand, and stretch forth with thy foote, and say, Alas, for all the wicked abominations of the house of Israel: for they shall fall by the sworde, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
11 — Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Contorça as mãos, bata os pés e diga: “Ah”, por todas as terríveis abominações da casa de Israel! Pois cairão à espada, de fome e de peste.
12 He that is farre off, shall dye of the pestilence, and he that is neere, shall fall by the sword, and hee that remaineth and is besieged, shall dye by the famine: thus will I accomplish my wrath vpon them.
12 O que estiver longe morrerá de peste; o que estiver perto cairá à espada; e o que sobreviver e for poupado morrerá de fome. Assim, neles cumprirei o meu furor.
13 Then ye shall knowe, that I am ye Lord, when their slaine men shalbe among their idoles round about their altars, vpon euerie hie hill in al the toppes of the mountaines, and vnder euery greene tree, and vnder euerie thicke oke, which is the place where they did offer sweete sauour to all their idoles.
13 Então vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor , quando os seus mortos estiverem estendidos no meio dos seus ídolos, ao redor dos seus altares, em todas as colinas elevadas e no alto de todos os montes, debaixo de todas as árvores frondosas e debaixo de todos os carvalhos espessos, lugares onde ofereciam suave perfume a todos os seus ídolos.
14 So will I stretch mine hand vpon them, and make the lande waste, and desolate from the wildernes vnto Diblath in all their habitations, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.
14 Estenderei a mão sobre eles e, onde quer que estiverem morando, tornarei a terra em desolação, uma desolação desde o deserto até Ribla. E saberão que eu sou o Senhor .
