1 And in the seuenth yeere, in the fift moneth, the tenth day of the moneth, came certaine of the elders of Israel to enquire of the Lord, and sate before me.
1 No quinto mês do sétimo ano, aos dez dias do mês, vieram alguns dos anciãos de Israel para consultar ao Senhor ; e assentaram-se diante de mim.
2 Then came the worde of the Lord vnto me, saying,
2 Então, veio a mim a palavra do Senhor , dizendo:
3 Sonne of man, speake vnto the Elders of Israel, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Are ye come to enquire of me? as I liue, sayth the Lord God, when I am asked, I wil not answer you.
3 Filho do homem, fala aos anciãos de Israel e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Acaso, viestes consultar-me? Tão certo como eu vivo, diz o Senhor Deus, vós não me consultareis.
4 Wilt thou iudge them, sonne of man? wilt thou iudge them? cause them to vnderstand the abominations of their fathers,
4 Julgá-los-ias tu, ó filho do homem, julgá-los-ias? Faze-lhes saber as abominações de seus pais
5 And say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, In the day when I chose Israel, and lift vp mine hand vnto the seede of the house of Iaakob, and made my selfe knowen vnto them in the land of Egypt, when I lift vp mine hand vnto them, and sayd, I am the Lord your God,
5 e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: No dia em que escolhi a Israel, levantando a mão, jurei à descendência da casa de Jacó e me dei a conhecer a eles na terra do Egito; levantei-lhes a mão e jurei: Eu sou o Senhor , vosso Deus.
6 In the day that I lift vp mine hand vnto them to bring them forth of the land of Egypt, into a land that I had prouided for them, flowing with milke and hony which is pleasant among all lands,
6 Naquele dia, levantei-lhes a mão e jurei tirá-los da terra do Egito para uma terra que lhes tinha previsto, a qual mana leite e mel, coroa de todas as terras.
7 Then sayd I vnto them, Let euery man cast away the abominations of his eyes, and defile not your selues with the idols of Egypt: for I am the Lord your God.
7 Então, lhes disse: Cada um lance de si as abominações de que se agradam os seus olhos, e não vos contamineis com os ídolos do Egito; eu sou o Senhor , vosso Deus.
8 But they rebelled against me, and would not heare me: for none cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idoles of Egypt: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them, and to accomplish my wrath against them in the mids of the land of Egypt.
8 Mas rebelaram-se contra mim e não me quiseram ouvir; ninguém lançava de si as abominações de que se agradavam os seus olhos, nem abandonava os ídolos do Egito. Então, eu disse que derramaria sobre eles o meu furor, para cumprir a minha ira contra eles, no meio da terra do Egito.
9 But I had respect to my Name, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whome they were, and in whose sight I made my selfe knowen vnto them in bringing them forth of the land of Egypt.
9 O que fiz, porém, foi por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado diante das nações no meio das quais eles estavam, diante das quais eu me dei a conhecer a eles, para os tirar da terra do Egito.
10 Nowe I caried them out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wildernes.
10 Tirei-os da terra do Egito e os levei para o deserto.
11 And I gaue them my statutes, and declared my iudgements vnto them, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them.
11 Dei-lhes os meus estatutos e lhes fiz conhecer os meus juízos, os quais, cumprindo-os o homem, viverá por eles.
12 Moreouer I gaue them also my Sabbaths to be a signe betweene me and them, that they might knowe that I am the Lord, that sanctifie them.
12 Também lhes dei os meus sábados, para servirem de sinal entre mim e eles, para que soubessem que eu sou o Senhor que os santifica.
13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wildernes: they walked not in my statutes, and they cast away my iudgements, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them, and my Sabbaths haue they greatly polluted: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them in the wildernes to consume them,
13 Mas a casa de Israel se rebelou contra mim no deserto, não andando nos meus estatutos e rejeitando os meus juízos, os quais, cumprindo-os o homem, viverá por eles; e profanaram grandemente os meus sábados. Então, eu disse que derramaria sobre eles o meu furor no deserto, para os consumir.
14 But I had respect to my Name, that it shoulde not bee polluted before the heathen in whose sight I brought them out.
14 O que fiz, porém, foi por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado diante das nações perante as quais os fiz sair.
15 Yet neuerthelesse, I lift vp mine hande vnto them in the wildernes that I would not bring them into the lande, which I had giuen them, flowing with milke and hony, which was pleasant aboue all landes,
15 Demais, levantei-lhes no deserto a mão e jurei não deixá-los entrar na terra que lhes tinha dado, a qual mana leite e mel, coroa de todas as terras.
16 Because they cast away my iudgments, and walked not in my statutes, but haue polluted my Sabbaths: for their heart went after their idoles.
16 Porque rejeitaram os meus juízos, e não andaram nos meus estatutos, e profanaram os meus sábados, pois o seu coração andava após os seus ídolos.
17 Neuerthelesse, mine eye spared them, that I would not destroye them, neither would I consume them in the wildernes.
17 Não obstante, os meus olhos lhes perdoaram, e eu não os destruí, nem os consumi de todo no deserto.
18 But I said vnto their children in the wildernes, Walke ye not in the ordinances of your fathers, neither obserue their maners, nor defile your selues with their idoles.
18 Mas disse eu a seus filhos no deserto: Não andeis nos estatutos de vossos pais, nem guardeis os seus juízos, nem vos contamineis com os seus ídolos.
19 I am the Lord your God: walke in my statutes, and keepe my iudgements and doe them,
19 Eu sou o Senhor , vosso Deus; andai nos meus estatutos, e guardai os meus juízos, e praticai-os;
20 And sanctifie my Sabbaths, and they shall bee a signe betweene mee and you, that ye may knowe that I am the Lord your God.
20 santificai os meus sábados, pois servirão de sinal entre mim e vós, para que saibais que eu sou o Senhor , vosso Deus.
21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against mee: they walked not in my statutes, nor kept my iudgements to doe them, which if a man doe, hee shall liue in them, but they polluted my Sabbaths: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them, and to accomplish my wrath against them in the wildernes.
21 Mas também os filhos se rebelaram contra mim e não andaram nos meus estatutos, nem guardaram os meus juízos, os quais, cumprindo-os o homem, viverá por eles; antes, profanaram os meus sábados. Então, eu disse que derramaria sobre eles o meu furor, para cumprir contra eles a minha ira no deserto.
22 Neuerthelesse I withdrew mine hand and had respect to my Name that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them foorth.
22 Mas detive a mão e o fiz por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado diante das nações perante as quais os fiz sair.
23 Yet I lift vp mine hande vnto them in the wildernes, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countreys,
23 Também levantei-lhes no deserto a mão e jurei espalhá-los entre as nações e derramá-los pelas terras;
24 Because they had not executed my iudgements, but had cast away my statutes and had polluted my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers idoles.
24 porque não executaram os meus juízos, rejeitaram os meus estatutos, profanaram os meus sábados, e os seus olhos se iam após os ídolos de seus pais;
25 Wherefore I gaue them also statutes that were not good, and iudgements, wherein they should not liue.
25 pelo que também lhes dei estatutos que não eram bons e juízos pelos quais não haviam de viver;
26 And I polluted them in their owne giftes in that they caused to passe by the fire all that first openeth ye wombe, that I might destroy them, to the ende, that they might know that I am ye Lord.
26 e permiti que eles se contaminassem com seus dons sacrificiais, como quando queimavam tudo o que abre a madre, para horrorizá-los, a fim de que soubessem que eu sou o Senhor .
27 Therefore, sonne of man, speake vnto the house of Israel, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Yet in this your fathers haue blasphemed me, though they had before grieuously transgressed against me.
27 Portanto, fala à casa de Israel, ó filho do homem, e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Ainda nisto me blasfemaram vossos pais e transgrediram contra mim.
28 For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted vp mine hand to giue it to them, then they saw euery hie hill, and all the thicke trees, and they offred there their sacrifices, and there they presented their offering of prouocation: there also they made their sweete sauour, and powred out there their drinke offerings.
28 Porque, havendo-os eu introduzido na terra sobre a qual eu, levantando a mão, jurara dar-lha, onde quer que viam um outeiro alto e uma árvore frondosa, aí ofereciam os seus sacrifícios, apresentavam suas ofertas provocantes, punham os seus suaves aromas e derramavam as suas libações.
29 Then I saide vnto them, What is the hie place whereunto ye goe? And the name thereof was called Bamah vnto this day.
29 Eu lhes disse: Que alto é este, aonde vós ides? O seu nome tem sido Lugar Alto, até ao dia de hoje.
30 Wherefore, say vnto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God, Are ye not polluted after the maner of your fathers? and commit ye not whoredome after their abominations?
30 Portanto, dize à casa de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Vós vos contaminais a vós mesmos, à maneira de vossos pais, e vos prostituís com as suas abominações?
31 For when you offer your giftes, and make your sonnes to passe through the fire, you pollute your selues with all your idoles vnto this day: shall I answere you when I am asked, O house of Israel? As I liue, saith the Lord God, I wil not answere you when I am asked.
31 Ao oferecerdes os vossos dons sacrificiais, como quando queimais os vossos filhos, vós vos contaminais com todos os vossos ídolos, até ao dia de hoje. Porventura, me consultaríeis, ó casa de Israel? Tão certo como eu vivo, diz o Senhor Deus, vós não me consultareis.
32 Neither shall that be done that commeth into your minde: for ye say, We wil be as the heathen, and as the families of the countreys, and serue wood, and stone.
32 O que vos ocorre à mente de maneira nenhuma sucederá; isto que dizeis: Seremos como as nações, como as outras gerações da terra, servindo às árvores e às pedras.
33 As I liue, saith the Lord God, I will surely rule you with a mightie hand, and with a stretched out arme, and in my wrath powred out,
33 Tão certo como eu vivo, diz o Senhor Deus, com mão poderosa, com braço estendido e derramado furor, hei de reinar sobre vós;
34 And will bring you from the people, and will gather you out of the countreys, wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arme, and in my wrath powred out,
34 tirar-vos-ei dentre os povos e vos congregarei das terras nas quais andais espalhados, com mão forte, com braço estendido e derramado furor.
35 And I will bring you into the wildernes of the people, and there wil I pleade with you face to face.
35 Levar-vos-ei ao deserto dos povos e ali entrarei em juízo convosco, face a face.
36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wildernes of the lande of Egypt, so will I pleade with you, saith the Lord God.
36 Como entrei em juízo com vossos pais, no deserto da terra do Egito, assim entrarei em juízo convosco, diz o Senhor Deus.
37 And I wil cause you to passe vnder the rod, and wil bring you into the bond of the couenant.
37 Far-vos-ei passar debaixo do meu cajado e vos sujeitarei à disciplina da aliança;
38 And I wil chuse out from among you the rebels, and them that transgresse against mee: I will bring them out of the land where they dwel, and they shall not enter into the lande of Israel, and you shall knowe that I am the Lord.
38 separarei dentre vós os rebeldes e os que transgrediram contra mim; da terra das suas moradas eu os farei sair, mas não entrarão na terra de Israel; e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor .
39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God, Goe you, and serue euery one his idole, seeing that ye will not obey me, and pollute mine holy Name no more with your giftes and with your idoles.
39 Quanto a vós outros, vós, ó casa de Israel, assim diz o Senhor Deus: Ide; cada um sirva aos seus ídolos, agora e mais tarde, pois que a mim não me quereis ouvir; mas não profaneis mais o meu santo nome com as vossas dádivas e com os vossos ídolos.
40 For in mine holy mountaine, euen in the hie mountaine of Israel, saith the Lord God, there shall all the house of Israel, and all in the lande, serue me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offrings and the first fruites of your oblations, with all your holy things.
40 Porque no meu santo monte, no monte alto de Israel, diz o Senhor Deus, ali toda a casa de Israel me servirá, toda, naquela terra; ali me agradarei deles, ali requererei as vossas ofertas e as primícias das vossas dádivas, com todas as vossas coisas santas.
41 I will accept your sweete sauour, when I bring you from the people, and gather you out of the countreys, wherein ye haue bene scattered, that I may be sanctified in you before ye heathen.
41 Agradar-me-ei de vós como de aroma suave, quando eu vos tirar dentre os povos e vos congregar das terras em que andais espalhados; e serei santificado em vós perante as nações.
42 And ye shall knowe, that I am the Lord, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the land, for the which I lifted vp mine hande to giue it to your fathers.
42 Sabereis que eu sou o Senhor , quando eu vos der entrada na terra de Israel, na terra que, levantando a mão, jurei dar a vossos pais.
43 And there shall ye remember your wayes, and all your workes, wherein ye haue bene defiled, and ye shall iudge your selues worthy to be cut off, for all your euils, that ye haue committed.
43 Ali, vos lembrareis dos vossos caminhos e de todos os vossos feitos com que vos contaminastes e tereis nojo de vós mesmos, por todas as vossas iniquidades que tendes cometido.
44 And ye shall knowe, that I am the Lord, when I haue respect vnto you for my Names sake, and not after your wicked wayes, nor according to your corrupt workes, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord God.
44 Sabereis que eu sou o Senhor , quando eu proceder para convosco por amor do meu nome, não segundo os vossos maus caminhos, nem segundo os vossos feitos corruptos, ó casa de Israel, diz o Senhor Deus.
45 Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
45 Veio a mim a palavra do Senhor , dizendo:
46 Sonne of man, set thy face toward the way of Teman, and drop thy word toward the South, and prophecie towarde the forest of the fielde of the South,
46 Filho do homem, volve o rosto para o Sul e derrama as tuas palavras contra ele; profetiza contra o bosque do campo do Sul
47 And say to the forest of the South, Heare the worde of the Lord: thus saith the Lord God, Beholde, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall deuoure all the greene wood in thee, and all the drie wood: the continuall flame shall not bee quenched, and euery face from the South to the North shall be burnt therein.
47 e dize ao bosque do Sul: Ouve a palavra do Senhor : Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que acenderei em ti um fogo que consumirá em ti toda árvore verde e toda árvore seca; não se apagará a chama flamejante; antes, com ela se queimarão todos os rostos, desde o Sul até ao Norte.
48 And all flesh shall see, that I the Lord haue kindled it, and it shall not bee quenched. Then saide I, Ah Lord God, they say of me, Doeth not he speake parables?
48 E todos os homens verão que eu, o Senhor , o acendi; não se apagará.
49 — ausente —
49 Então, disse eu: ah! Senhor Deus! Eles dizem de mim: Não é ele proferidor de parábolas?
