1 Then the Lord saide to Moses, Behold, I haue made thee Pharaohs God, and Aaron thy brother shall be thy Prophet.
1 Então o S enhor disse a Moisés: “Preste atenção ao que vou dizer. Eu o farei parecer Deus para o faraó, e Arão, seu irmão, será seu profeta.
2 Thou shalt speake all that I commanded thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speake vnto Pharaoh, that he suffer the children of Israel to go out of his land.
2 Diga a Arão tudo que eu lhe ordenar, e Arão mandará o faraó deixar o povo de Israel sair de sua terra.
3 But I will harden Pharaohs heart, and multiplie my miracles and my wonders in the lande of Egypt.
3 Contudo, endurecerei o coração do faraó e depois multiplicarei meus sinais e maravilhas na terra do Egito.
4 And Pharaoh shall not hearken vnto you, that I may lay mine hand vpon Egypt, and bring out myne armies, euen my people, the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, by great iudgements.
4 Mesmo assim, o faraó se recusará a ouvi-lo, de modo que farei minha mão pesar sobre o Egito. Então resgatarei meu exército — meu povo, os israelitas — da terra do Egito com grandes atos de julgamento.
5 Then the Egyptians shall knowe that I am the Lord, when I stretch foorth mine hand vpon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
5 Quando eu levantar minha mão e tirar os israelitas do meio deles, os egípcios saberão que eu sou o S enhor ”.
6 So Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded them, euen so did they.
6 Moisés e Arão fizeram conforme o S enhor lhes ordenou.
7 (Nowe Moses was foure score yeere olde, and Aaron foure score and three, when they spake vnto Pharaoh)
7 Quando falaram com o faraó, Moisés tinha 80 anos, e Arão, 83.
8 And the Lord had spoken vnto Moses and Aaron, saying,
8 O S enhor disse a Moisés e a Arão:
9 If Pharaoh speake vnto you, saying, Shewe a miracle for you, then thou shalt say vnto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shalbe turned into a serpent.
9 “O faraó exigirá: ‘Mostre-me um milagre’. Quando ele o fizer, diga a Arão: ‘Tome sua vara e jogue-a no chão, na frente do faraó, e ela se transformará numa serpente’”.
10 Then went Moses and Aaron vnto Pharaoh, and did euen as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast forth his rod before Pharaoh and before his seruants, and it was turned into a serpent.
10 Então Moisés e Arão foram ver o faraó e fizeram conforme o S enhor havia ordenado. Arão jogou a vara no chão, diante do faraó e de seus oficiais, e ela se transformou numa serpente.
11 Then Pharaoh called also for the wise men and sorcerers: and those charmers also of Egypt did in like maner with their enchantmens,
11 O faraó mandou chamar seus sábios e feiticeiros e, por meio de suas artes mágicas, esses magos egípcios fizeram a mesma coisa:
12 For they cast downe euery man his rod, and they were turned into serpents: but Aarons rodde deuoured their rods.
12 jogaram suas varas no chão, e elas também se transformaram em serpentes. Mas a vara de Arão engoliu as varas dos magos.
13 So Pharaohs heart was hardened, and hee hearkened not to them, as the Lord had saide.
13 O coração do faraó, porém, permaneceu endurecido. Ele continuou se recusando a ouvir, exatamente como o S enhor tinha dito.
14 The Lord then saide vnto Moses, Pharaohs heart is obstinate, hee refuseth to let the people goe.
14 O S enhor disse a Moisés: “O coração do faraó é duro, e ele continua se recusando a deixar o povo sair.
15 Goe vnto Pharaoh in the morning, (loe, he will come forth vnto the water) and thou shalt stand and meete him by the riuers brinke, and the rod, which was turned into a serpent, shalt thou take in thine hand.
15 Portanto, vá ao faraó pela manhã, quando ele estiver descendo até o rio. Pare à margem do Nilo e encontre-se com ele ali. Não se esqueça de levar a vara que se transformou em serpente.
16 And thou shalt say vnto him, The Lord God of the Ebrewes hath sent me vnto thee, saying, Let my people goe, that they may serue mee in the wildernesse: and beholde, hitherto thou wouldest not heare.
16 Então diga-lhe: ‘O S enhor , o Deus dos hebreus, me enviou para lhe falar: ‘Deixe meu povo sair para me adorar no deserto’. Até agora, você se recusou a ouvi-lo,
17 Thus saith the Lord, In this shalt thou know that I am the Lord: behold, I wil smite with the rodde that is in mine hand vpon the water that is in the riuer, and it shalbe turned to blood.
17 por isso, assim diz o S enhor : ‘Eu lhe mostrarei que sou o S enhor ’. Veja! Com esta vara que tenho na mão, baterei nas águas do Nilo, e elas se transformarão em sangue.
18 And the fish that is in the riuer shall dye, and the riuer shall stinke, and it shall grieue the Egyptians to drinke of the water of the riuer.
18 Os peixes do rio morrerão, e o rio ficará malcheiroso. Os egípcios não poderão beber de sua água’”.
19 The Lord then spake to Moses, Say vnto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand ouer the waters of Egypt, ouer their streames, ouer their riuers, and ouer their pondes,, and ouer all pooles of their waters, and they shalbe blood, and there shalbe blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and of stone.
19 O S enhor disse a Moisés: “Diga a Arão: ‘Tome sua vara e estenda a mão sobre as águas do Egito, sobre todos os seus rios, canais, açudes e reservatórios. Toda a água se transformará em sangue, até mesmo a água armazenada em vasilhas de madeira e pedra’”.
20 So Moses and Aaron did euen as the Lord commanded: and hee lift vp the rodde, and smote the water that was in the riuer in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his seruants: and all the water that was in the riuer, was turned into blood.
20 Moisés e Arão fizeram conforme o S enhor ordenou. Diante dos olhos do faraó e de todos os seus oficiais, Arão levantou a vara e bateu nas águas do Nilo, e o rio inteiro se transformou em sangue.
21 And the fish that was in the ryuer dyed, and the riuer stanke: so that the Egyptians could not drinke of the water of the riuer: and there was blood throughout all the lande of Egypt.
21 Os peixes do rio morreram, e a água ficou tão malcheirosa que os egípcios não podiam bebê-la. Havia sangue em toda a terra do Egito.
22 And the enchanters of Egypt did likewise with their sorceries: and the heart of Phraoh was hardened: so that he did not hearken vnto them, as the Lord had sayde.
22 Mais uma vez, porém, os magos do Egito usaram sua mágica e também transformaram água em sangue, e o coração do faraó continuou endurecido. Ele se recusou a ouvir Moisés e Arão, como o S enhor tinha dito.
23 Then Pharaoh returned, and went againe into his house, neither did this yet enter into his heart.
23 O faraó voltou para seu palácio e não pensou mais no assunto.
24 All the Egyptians then digged rounde about the riuer for waters to drinke: for they could not drinke of the water of the riuer.
24 Todos os egípcios cavaram às margens do rio para encontrar água potável, pois não podiam beber da água do Nilo.
25 And this continued fully seuen dayes after the Lord had smitten the riuer.
25 Sete dias se passaram desde o momento em que o S enhor feriu o Nilo.
