1 In the third moneth, after the children of Israel were gone out of the lande of Egypt, the same day came they into the wildernes of Sinai.
1 No terceiro mês da saída dos filhos de Israel da terra do Egito, no primeiro dia desse mês, vieram ao deserto do Sinai.
2 For they departed from Rephidim, and came to the desart of Sinai, and camped in the wildernesse: euen there Israel camped before the mount.
2 Tendo partido de Refidim, vieram ao deserto do Sinai, no qual se acamparam; ali, pois, se acampou Israel em frente do monte.
3 But Moses went vp vnto God, for ye Lord had called out of the mount vnto him, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Iaakob, and tell the children of Israel,
3 Subiu Moisés a Deus, e do monte o Senhor o chamou e lhe disse: Assim falarás à casa de Jacó e anunciarás aos filhos de Israel:
4 Ye haue seene what I did vnto the Egyptians, and how I caryed you vpon eagles wings, and haue brought you vnto me.
4 Tendes visto o que fiz aos egípcios, como vos levei sobre asas de águia e vos cheguei a mim.
5 Now therefore if ye wil heare my voyce in deede, and keepe my couenant, then ye shalbe my chiefe treasure aboue all people, though all the earth be mine.
5 Agora, pois, se diligentemente ouvirdes a minha voz e guardardes a minha aliança, então, sereis a minha propriedade peculiar dentre todos os povos; porque toda a terra é minha;
6 Yee shall be vnto mee also a kingdome of Priestes, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel.
6 vós me sereis reino de sacerdotes e nação santa. São estas as palavras que falarás aos filhos de Israel.
7 Moses then came and called for the Elders of the people, and proposed vnto them all these things, which the Lord commanded him.
7 Veio Moisés, chamou os anciãos do povo e expôs diante deles todas estas palavras que o Senhor lhe havia ordenado.
8 And the people answered all together, and sayd, All that the Lord hath commanded, we will doe. And Moses reported the wordes of the people vnto the Lord.
8 Então, o povo respondeu à uma: Tudo o que o Senhor falou faremos. E Moisés relatou ao Senhor as palavras do povo.
9 And the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Lo, I come vnto thee in a thicke cloude, that the people may heare, whiles I talke with thee, and that they may also beleeue thee for euer. (for Moses had tolde the wordes of the people vnto the Lord)
9 Disse o Senhor a Moisés: Eis que virei a ti numa nuvem escura, para que o povo ouça quando eu falar contigo e para que também creiam sempre em ti. Porque Moisés tinha anunciado as palavras do seu povo ao Senhor .
10 Moreouer, the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Goe to the people, and sanctifie them to day and to morow, and let them wash their clothes.
10 Disse também o Senhor a Moisés: Vai ao povo e purifica-o hoje e amanhã. Lavem eles as suas vestes
11 And let them be ready on the third day: for the thirde day the Lord will come downe in the sight of all the people vpon mount Sinai:
11 e estejam prontos para o terceiro dia; porque no terceiro dia o Senhor , à vista de todo o povo, descerá sobre o monte Sinai.
12 And thou shalt set markes vnto the people rounde about, saying, Take heede to your selues that ye goe not vp the mount, nor touche the border of it: whosoeuer toucheth the mount, shall surely die.
12 Marcarás em redor limites ao povo, dizendo: Guardai-vos de subir ao monte, nem toqueis o seu limite; todo aquele que tocar o monte será morto.
13 No hand shall touche it, but he shalbe stoned to death, or striken through with darts: whether it be beast or man, he shall not liue: when the horne bloweth long, they shall come vp into the mountaine.
13 Mão nenhuma tocará neste, mas será apedrejado ou flechado; quer seja animal, quer seja homem, não viverá. Quando soar longamente a buzina, então, subirão ao monte.
14 Then Moses went downe from ye mount vnto the people, and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.
14 Moisés, tendo descido do monte ao povo, consagrou o povo; e lavaram as suas vestes.
15 And he said vnto the people, Be ready on the third day, and come not at your wiues.
15 E disse ao povo: Estai prontos ao terceiro dia; e não vos chegueis a mulher.
16 And the thirde day, when it was morning, there was thunders and lightnings, and a thicke cloude vpon the mount, and the sounde of the trumpet exceeding loude, so that all the people, that was in the campe, was afrayde.
16 Ao amanhecer do terceiro dia, houve trovões, e relâmpagos, e uma espessa nuvem sobre o monte, e mui forte clangor de trombeta, de maneira que todo o povo que estava no arraial se estremeceu.
17 Then Moses brought the people out of the tents to meete with God, and they stoode in the nether part of the mount.
17 E Moisés levou o povo fora do arraial ao encontro de Deus; e puseram-se ao pé do monte.
18 And mount Sinai was all on smoke, because the Lord came downe vpon it in fire, and the smoke therof ascended, as the smoke of a fornace, and all the mount trembled exceedingly.
18 Todo o monte Sinai fumegava, porque o Senhor descera sobre ele em fogo; a sua fumaça subiu como fumaça de uma fornalha, e todo o monte tremia grandemente.
19 And when the sound of the trumpet blew long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by voyce.
19 E o clangor da trombeta ia aumentando cada vez mais; Moisés falava, e Deus lhe respondia no trovão.
20 (For the Lord came downe vpon mount Sinai on the toppe of the mount) and when the Lord called Moses vp into the top of the mount, Moses went vp.
20 Descendo o Senhor para o cimo do monte Sinai, chamou o Senhor a Moisés para o cimo do monte. Moisés subiu,
21 Then the Lord said vnto Moses, Go down, charge the people, that they breake not their boundes, to go vp to the Lord to gaze, least many of them perish.
21 e o Senhor disse a Moisés: Desce, adverte ao povo que não traspasse o limite até ao Senhor para vê-lo, a fim de muitos deles não perecerem.
22 And let the Priestes also which come to the Lord be sanctified, least the Lord destroy them.
22 Também os sacerdotes, que se chegam ao Senhor , se hão de consagrar, para que o Senhor não os fira.
23 And Moses sayde vnto the Lord, The people can not come vp into the mount Sinai: for thou hast charged vs, saying, Set markes on the mountaine, and sanctifie it.
23 Então, disse Moisés ao Senhor : O povo não poderá subir ao monte Sinai, porque tu nos advertiste, dizendo: Marca limites ao redor do monte e consagra-o.
24 And the Lord sayd vnto him, Go, get thee downe, and come vp, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the Priestes and the people breake their boundes to come vp vnto the Lord, least he destroy them.
24 Replicou-lhe o Senhor : Vai, desce; depois, subirás tu, e Arão contigo; os sacerdotes, porém, e o povo não traspassem o limite para subir ao Senhor , para que não os fira.
25 So Moses went downe vnto the people, and tolde them.
25 Desceu, pois, Moisés ao povo e lhe disse tudo isso.
