1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song vnto the Lord, and sayd in this maner, I will sing vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and him that rode vpon him hath he ouerthrowen in the Sea.
1 Então, entoou Moisés e os filhos de Israel este cântico ao Senhor , e disseram: Cantarei ao lançou no mar o cavalo e o seu cavaleiro.
2 The Lord is my strength and praise, and he is become my saluation. He is my God, and I will prepare him a tabernacle. he is my fathers God, and I will exalt him.
2 O Senhor é a minha força e o meu cântico; ele me foi por salvação; este é o meu Deus; portanto, eu o louvarei; ele é o Deus de meu pai; por isso, o exaltarei.
3 The Lord is a man of warre, his Name is Iehouah.
3 O Senhor é homem de guerra;
4 Pharaohs charets and his host hath he cast into the Sea: his chosen captaines also were drowned in the red Sea.
4 Lançou no mar os carros de Faraó e o seu exército; e os seus capitães afogaram-se no mar Vermelho.
5 The depths haue couered them, they sanke to the bottome as a stone.
5 Os vagalhões os cobriram; desceram às profundezas como pedra.
6 Thy right hande, O Lord, is glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath brused the enemie.
6 A tua destra, ó Senhor , é gloriosa em poder; a tua destra, ó
7 And in thy great glorie thou hast ouerthrowen them that rose against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as the stubble.
7 Na grandeza da tua excelência, derribas os que se levantam contra ti; envias o teu furor, que os consome como restolho.
8 And by the blast of thy nostrels the waters were gathered, the floods stoode still as an heape, the depthes congealed together in the heart of the Sea.
8 Com o resfolgar das tuas narinas, amontoaram-se as águas, as correntes pararam em montão; os vagalhões coalharam-se no coração do mar.
9 The enemie sayd, I wil pursue, I wil ouertake them, I will deuide the spoyle, my lust shall bee satisfied vpon them, I will drawe my sworde, mine hand shall destroy them.
9 O inimigo dizia: Perseguirei, alcançarei, repartirei os despojos; a minha alma se fartará deles, arrancarei a minha espada, e a minha mão os destruirá.
10 Thou blewest with thy winde, the Sea couered them, they sanke as leade in the mightie waters.
10 Sopraste com o teu vento, e o mar os cobriu; afundaram-se como chumbo em águas impetuosas.
11 Who is like vnto thee, O Lord, among the Gods! who is like thee so glorious in holinesse, fearefull in prayses, doing wonders!
11 Ó Senhor , quem é como tu entre os deuses? Quem é como tu, glorificado em santidade, terrível em feitos gloriosos, que operas maravilhas?
12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hande, the earth swallowed them.
12 Estendeste a destra; e a terra os tragou.
13 Thou wilt by thy mercie cary this people, which thou deliueredst: thou wilt bring them in thy strength vnto thine holy habitation.
13 Com a tua beneficência guiaste o povo que salvaste; com a tua força o levaste à habitação da tua santidade.
14 The people shall heare and be afraide: sorow shall come vpon the inhabitants of Palestina.
14 Os povos o ouviram, eles estremeceram; agonias apoderaram-se dos habitantes da Filístia.
15 Then the dukes of Edom shalbe amased, and trembling shall come vpon the great men of Moab: all the inhabitantes of Canaan shall waxe faint hearted.
15 Ora, os príncipes de Edom se perturbam, dos poderosos de Moabe se apodera temor, esmorecem todos os habitantes de Canaã.
16 Feare and dread shall fall vpon them: because of the greatnesse of thine arme, they shalbe stil as a stone, till thy people passe, O Lord: til this people passe, which thou hast purchased.
16 Sobre eles cai espanto e pavor; pela grandeza do teu braço, emudecem como pedra; até que passe o teu povo, ó até que passe o povo que adquiriste.
17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountaine of thine inheritance, which is the place that thou hast prepared, O Lord, for to dwell in, euen the sanctuarie, O Lord, which thine hands shall establish.
17 Tu o introduzirás e o plantarás no monte da tua herança, no lugar que aparelhaste, ó no santuário, ó Senhor, que as tuas mãos estabeleceram.
18 The Lord shall reigne for euer and euer.
18 O Senhor reinará por todo o sempre.
19 For Pharaohs horses went with his charets and horsemen into the Sea, and the Lord brought the waters of the Sea vpon them: but the children of Israel went on drie land in the middes of the Sea.
19 Porque os cavalos de Faraó, com os seus carros e com os seus cavalarianos, entraram no mar, e o Senhor fez tornar sobre eles as águas do mar; mas os filhos de Israel passaram a pé enxuto pelo meio do mar.
20 And Miriam the prophetesse, sister of Aaron tooke a timbrell in her hande, and all the women came out after her with timbrels and daunces.
20 A profetisa Miriã, irmã de Arão, tomou um tamborim, e todas as mulheres saíram atrás dela com tamborins e com danças.
21 And Miriam answered the men, Sing yee vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath hee ouerthrowen in the Sea.
21 E Miriã lhes respondia: Cantai ao e precipitou no mar o cavalo e o seu cavaleiro.
22 Then Moses brought Israel from the redde Sea, and they went out into the wildernesse of Shur: and they went three dayes in the wildernesse, and found no waters.
22 Fez Moisés partir a Israel do mar Vermelho, e saíram para o deserto de Sur; caminharam três dias no deserto e não acharam água.
23 And whe they came to Marah, they could not drinke of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of the place was called Marah.
23 Afinal, chegaram a Mara; todavia, não puderam beber as águas de Mara, porque eram amargas; por isso, chamou-se-lhe Mara.
24 Then the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drinke?
24 E o povo murmurou contra Moisés, dizendo: Que havemos de beber?
25 And he cried vnto the Lord, and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were sweete: there he made them an ordinance and a law, and there he proued them,
25 Então, Moisés clamou ao Senhor , e o Senhor lhe mostrou uma árvore; lançou-a Moisés nas águas, e as águas se tornaram doces. Deu-lhes ali estatutos e uma ordenação, e ali os provou,
26 And sayd, if thou wilt diligently hearken, O Israel, vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that, which is right in his sight, and wilt giue eare vnto his commandements, and keepe all his ordinances, then will I put none of these diseases vpon thee, which I brought vpon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
26 e disse: Se ouvires atento a voz do Senhor , teu Deus, e fizeres o que é reto diante dos seus olhos, e deres ouvido aos seus mandamentos, e guardares todos os seus estatutos, nenhuma enfermidade virá sobre ti, das que enviei sobre os egípcios; pois eu sou o Senhor , que te sara.
27 And they came to Elim, where were twelue fountaines of water, and seuentie palme trees, and they camped thereby the waters.
27 Então, chegaram a Elim, onde havia doze fontes de água e setenta palmeiras; e se acamparam junto das águas.
