1 Then King Darius gaue commandement, and they made search in the librarie of the treasures, which were there layd vp in Babel.
1 Então o rei Dario, editou um decreto, e uma investigação foi feita na casa dos rolos, onde os tesouros eram depositados em Babilônia.
2 And there was founde in a coffer (in the palace that was in the prouince of the Medes) a volume, and therein was it thus written, as a memoriall,
2 E foi encontrado, em Acmetá, no palácio que está na província dos medos, um rolo, e nele estava um registro escrito assim:
3 IN THE FIRST yeere of King Cyrus, King Cyrus made a decree for the house of God in Ierusalem, Let the house be buylt, euen the place where they offred sacrifices, and let the walles thereof be ioyned together: let the height thereof be three score cubites, and the breadth thereof three score cubites,
3 No primeiro ano do rei Ciro, o próprio rei Ciro fez um decreto acerca da casa de Deus em Jerusalém: Que a casa seja edificada, o lugar onde eles ofereciam sacrifícios, e que os seus fundamentos sejam fortemente lançados; a sua altura de sessenta côvados, e a sua largura de sessenta côvados;
4 Three orders of great stones, and one order of timber, and let the expenses be giuen of the Kings house.
4 com três fileiras de grandes pedras, e uma fileira de madeira nova; e que as despesas sejam dadas a partir da casa do rei;
5 And also let them render the vessels of the house of God (of golde and siluer, which Nebuchadnezzar tooke out of the Temple, which was in Ierusalem, and brought vnto Babel) and let him goe vnto the Temple that is in Ierusalem to his place, and put them in the house of God.
5 e também que sejam restaurados os vasos de ouro e de prata da casa de Deus, os quais Nabucodonosor retirou do templo que está em Jerusalém, e os trouxe para Babilônia, e voltem novamente para o templo que está em Jerusalém, cada um ao seu lugar, e ponde-os na casa de Deus.
6 Therefore Tatnai captaine beyond the Riuer, and Shethar Boznai, (and their companions Apharsecaie, which are beyonde the Riuer) be ye farre from thence.
6 Agora, portanto, Tatenai, governador dalém do rio, Setar-Bozenai, e os vossos companheiros, os afarsaquitas, os quais estão além do rio, estejais vós longe dali;
7 Suffer ye the worke of this house of God, that the captaine of the Iewes and the Elders of the Iewes may buylde this house of God in his place.
7 deixai a obra desta casa de Deus; que o governador dos judeus e os anciãos dos judeus edifiquem esta casa de Deus no seu lugar.
8 For I haue giuen a commandement what ye shall doe to the Elders of these Iewes, for the buylding of this house of God, that of the reuenues of the King, which is of the tribute beyonde the Riuer, there be incontinently expenses giuen vnto these men that they cease not.
8 Além disso, eu faço um decreto do que vós fareis aos anciãos daqueles judeus para a edificação desta casa de Deus; para que dos bens do rei, a saber, do tributo dalém do rio, as despesas sejam dadas imediatamente a estes homens, para que eles não sejam prejudicados.
9 And that which they shall haue neede of, let it be giuen vnto them day by day, whether it be yong bullockes, or rammes, or lambes for the burnt offrings of the God of heauen, wheate, salt, wine, and oyle, according to the appoyntment of the Priestes that are in Ierusalem, that there bee no fault,
9 E aquilo do que eles necessitarem, tanto os novilhos novos, quanto carneiros e cordeiros, para as ofertas queimadas do Deus do céu; trigo, sal, vinho e azeite, segundo a indicação dos sacerdotes que estão em Jerusalém, que lhes seja dado, dia após dia, sem falta;
10 That they may haue to offer sweete odours vnto the God of heauen, and praye for the Kings life, and for his sonnes.
10 e para que eles possam oferecer sacrifícios de cheiro suave ao Deus do céu, e orar pela vida do rei, e dos seus filhos.
11 And I haue made a decree, that whosoeuer shall alter this sentence, the wood shall be pulled downe from his house, and shall be set vp, and he shalbe hanged thereon, and his house shalbe made a dunghill for this.
11 Além disso, eu fiz um decreto, que qualquer um que alterar esta palavra, arranque-se uma estaca da sua casa, e sendo erguida, que ele seja pregado nela; e que a sua casa seja feita uma pilha de estrume por causa disso.
12 And the God that hath caused his Name to dwell there, destroy all Kings and people that put to their hand to alter, and to destroy this house of God, which is in Ierusalem. I Darius haue made a decree, let it be done with speede.
12 E o Deus que fez habitar ali o seu nome, destrua todos os reis e povos que estenderem a sua mão para alterar e para destruir esta casa de Deus, a qual está em Jerusalém. Eu, Dario, fiz um decreto; que isto seja feito rapidamente.
13 Then Tatnai the captaine beyond the Riuer, and Shethar Boznai and their companions, according to that which Darius had sent, so they did speedily.
13 Então, Tatenai, governador deste lado do rio, Setar-Bozenai, e os seus companheiros, de acordo com aquilo que Dario, o rei, havia enviado, assim fizeram rapidamente.
14 So the Elders of the Iewes builded, and they prospered by the prophecying of Haggai the Prophet, and Zechariah the sonne of Iddo, and they buylded and finished it, by the appoyntment of the God of Israel, and by the commandement of Cyrus and Darius, and Artahshashte king of Persia.
14 E os anciãos dos judeus edificaram, e prosperaram devido à profecia do profeta Ageu, e Zacarias, o filho de Ido. E eles edificaram, e a acabaram, de acordo com o mandamento do Deus de Israel, e de acordo com o mandamento de Ciro, e de Dario, e de Artaxerxes, rei da Pérsia.
15 And this house was finished the thirde day of the moneth Adar, which was the sixt yeere of the reigne of King Darius.
15 E essa casa foi terminada no terceiro dia do mês de Adar, no sexto ano do reinado do rei Dario.
16 And the children of Israel, the Priestes, and the Leuites, and the residue of the children of the captiuitie kept the dedication of this house of God with ioy,
16 E os filhos de Israel, os sacerdotes, e os levitas, e o restante dos filhos do cativeiro, celebraram com alegria a dedicação desta casa de Deus.
17 And offred at the dedication of this house of God an hundreth bullockes, two hundreth rams, foure hundreth lambes, and twelue goates, for the sinne of all Israel, according to the nomber of the tribes of Israel.
17 E ofereceram, na dedicação desta casa de Deus, uma centena de novilhos, duas centenas de carneiros, quatro centenas de cordeiros; e como oferta pelo pecado por todo o Israel, doze bodes, de acordo com o número das tribos de Israel.
18 And they set the Priests in their order, and the Leuites in their courses ouer the seruice of God in Ierusalem, as it is written in the booke of Moses.
18 E eles puseram os sacerdotes nas suas divisões, e os levitas nas suas turmas, para o serviço de Deus, o qual está em Jerusalém; como está escrito no livro de Moisés.
19 And the childre of the captiuitie kept the Passeouer on ye fourtenth day of the first moneth.
19 E os filhos do cativeiro celebraram a Páscoa no décimo quarto dia do primeiro mês.
20 (For the Priests and the Leuites were purified altogether) and they killed the Passeouer for all the children of the captiuitie, and for their brethren the Priests, and for themselues.
20 Porquanto os sacerdotes e os levitas foram purificados juntos, todos eles estavam puros, e mataram o cordeiro pascal para todos os filhos do cativeiro, e para os seus irmãos, os sacerdotes, e para si mesmos.
21 So the children of Israel which were come againe out of captiuitie, and all such as had separated themselues vnto them, from the filthines of the Heathen of the land, to seeke the Lord God of Israel, did eate,
21 Assim comeram, os filhos de Israel que tinham retornado do cativeiro, com todos os que com eles se separaram da imundície dos pagãos da terra, para buscarem o SENHOR Deus de Israel;
22 And they kept ye feast of vnleauened bread seuen dayes with ioy: for the Lord had made them glad, and turned the heart of the King of Asshur vnto them, to incourage them in the worke of the house of God, euen the God of Israel.
22 e celebraram a festa do pão ázimo sete dias com alegria; porque o SENHOR os tinha alegrado, tocando o coração do rei da Assíria a favor deles, para lhes fortalecer as suas mãos na obra da casa de Deus, o Deus de Israel.
