1 The Priests of the Leuites, and all the tribe of Leui shall haue no part nor inheritace with Israel, but shall eate the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and his inheritance.
1 Os sacerdotes levíticos e toda a tribo de Levi não terão parte nem herança com Israel: alimentar-se-ão dos sacrifícios feitos pelo fogo ao Senhor, que é a sua parte
2 Therefore shall they haue no inheritance among their brethren: for the Lord is their inheritance, as he hath sayd vnto them.
2 Não terão herança entre seus irmãos: o Senhor mesmo é a sua herança, como ele lhes disse.
3 And this shalbe the Priests duetie of the people, that they, which offer sacrifice, whether it be bullocke or sheepe, shall giue vnto the Priest the shoulder, and the two cheekes, and the mawe.
3 Este é o direito devido aos sacerdotes pelo povo, por aqueles que oferecerem em sacrifício um boi ou uma ovelha: darão ao sacerdote a espádua, as mandíbulas e o estômago.
4 The first fruites also of thy corne, of thy wine, and of thine oyle, and the first of the fleece of thy sheepe shalt thou giue him.
4 Dar-lhe-ás as primícias de teu trigo, de teu vinho e de teu óleo, e as primícias da lã de tuas ovelhas.
5 For the Lord thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stande and minister in the Name of the Lord, him, and his sonnes for euer.
5 Porque o Senhor, teu Deus, escolheu-o dentre todas as tribos, ele e seus filhos, para estar diante do Senhor e oficiar perpetuamente em nome do Senhor.
6 Also when a Leuite shall come out of any of thy cities of all Israel, where hee remained, and come with all the desire of his heart vnto the place, which the Lord shall chuse,
6 Quando um levita vier de uma cidade situada em qualquer ponto de Israel,, dirigindo-se espontaneamente ao lugar escolhido pelo Senhor,
7 He shall then minister in the Name of the Lord his God, as all his brethren the Leuites, which remaine there before the Lord.
7 para oficiar em nome do Senhor, seu Deus, como todos, os seus irmãos levitas que nesse tempo assistem diante do Senhor,
8 They shall haue like portions to eat beside that which commeth of his sale of his patrimonie.
8 receberá a mesma porção dos alimentos que os outros, independentemente do produto da venda de seu patrimônio.
9 When thou shalt come into ye land which the Lord thy God giueth thee, thou shalt not learne to do after ye abominations of those nations.
9 Quando tiveres entrado na terra que o Senhor, teu Deus, te dá, não te porás a imitar as práticas abomináveis da gente daquele terra.
10 Let none be founde among you that maketh his sonne or his daughter to goe thorough the fire, or that vseth witchcraft, or a regarder of times, or a marker of the flying of foules, or a sorcerer,
10 Não se ache no meio de ti quem faça passar pelo fogo seu filho ou sua filha, nem quem se dê à adivinhação, à astrologia, aos agouros, ao feiticismo,
11 Or a charmer, or that counselleth with spirits, or a soothsaier, or that asketh counsel at ye dead.
11 à magia, ao espiritismo, à adivinhação ou â invocação dos mortos,
12 For all that doe such things are abomination vnto the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doeth cast them out before thee.
12 porque o Senhor, teu Deus, abomina aqueles que se dão a essas práticas, e é por causa dessas abominações que o Senhor, teu Deus, expulsa diante de ti essas nações.
13 Thou shalt be vpright therefore with the Lord thy God.
13 Serás inteiramente do Senhor, teu Deus.
14 For these nations which thou shalt possesse, hearken vnto those that regarde the times, and vnto sorcerers: as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffred thee so.
14 As nações que vais despojar ouvem os agoureiros e os adivinhos; a ti, porém, o Senhor, teu Deus, não o permite.
15 The Lord thy God will raise vp vnto thee a Prophet like vnto me, from among you, euen of thy brethren: vnto him ye shall hearken,
15 O Senhor, teu Deus, te suscitará dentre os teus irmãos um profeta como eu: é a ele que devereis ouvir.
16 According to al that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb, in the day of the assemblie, when thou saidest, Let me heare the voice of my Lord God no more, nor see this great fire any more, that I die not.
16 Foi o que tu mesmo pediste ao Senhor, teu Deus, em Horeb, quando lhe disseste no dia da assembléia: Oh! Não ouça eu mais a voz do Senhor, meu Deus, nem torne a ver mais esse fogo ardente, para que eu não morra!
17 And the Lord sayde vnto me, They haue well spoken.
17 E o Senhor disse-me: está muito bem o que disseram;
18 I will raise them vp a Prophet from among their brethren like vnto thee, and will put my woordes in his mouth, and he shall speake vnto them all that I shall commaund him.
18 eu lhes suscitarei um profeta como tu dentre seus irmãos: pôr-lhe-ei minhas palavras na boca, e ele lhes fará conhecer as minhas. ordens.
19 And whosoeuer will not hearken vnto my wordes, which he shall speake in my Name, I will require it of him.
19 Mas ao que recusar ouvir o que ele disser de minha parte, pedir-lhe-ei contas disso.
20 But the prophet that shall presume to speake a worde in my name, which I haue not commanded him to speake, or that speaketh in the name of other gods, euen the same prophet shall die.
20 o profeta que tiver a audácia de proferir em meu nome uma palavra que eu lhe não mandei dizer, ou que se atrever a falar em nome de outros deuses, será morto.
21 And if thou thinke in thine heart, Howe shall we knowe the worde which the Lord hath not spoken?
21 Se disseres a ti mesmo: como posso eu distinguir a palavra que não vem do Senhor?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the Name of the Lord, if the thing follow not nor come to passe, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not therefore be afraid of him.
22 Quando o profeta tiver falado em nome do Senhor, se o que ele disse não se realizar, é que essa palavra não veio do Senhor. O profeta falou presunçosamente. Não o temas.
