1 At the terme of seuen yeeres thou shalt make a freedome.
1 No fim de cada sete anos, farás remissão.
2 And this is the maner of the freedome: euery creditour shall quite ye lone of his hand which he hath lent to his neighbour: he shall not aske it againe of his neighbour, nor of his brother: for the yeere of the Lords freedome is proclaimed.
2 E este é o modo da remissão: cada credor que emprestou algo ao seu próximo o quitará; não o exigirá do seu próximo, nem de seu irmão; porque é chamada a remissão do SENHOR.
3 Of a stranger thou mayest require it: but that which thou hast with thy brother, thine hand shall remit:
3 De um estrangeiro poderás exigi-lo, mas aquilo que for teu e estiver com teu irmão, tua mão o remirá;
4 Saue when there shall be no poore with thee: for the Lord shall blesse thee in the land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee, for an inheritance to possesse it:
4 exceto quando não houver pobres entre vós, pois o SENHOR te abençoará grandemente na terra que o SENHOR teu Deus te dá como herança, para que a possuas;
5 So that thou hearken vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God to obserue and doe all these commandements, which I commande thee this day.
5 somente se ouvires diligentemente a voz do SENHOR teu Deus, para observares todos estes mandamentos que te ordeno neste dia.
6 For the Lord thy God hath blessed thee, as he hath promised thee: and thou shalt lend vnto many nations, but thou thy selfe shalt not borow, and thou shalt reigne ouer many nations, and they shall not reigne ouer thee.
6 Pois o SENHOR teu Deus te abençoará, como te prometeu; e emprestarás a muitas nações, mas não tomarás empréstimos; e reinarás sobre muitas nações, mas elas não reinarão sobre ti.
7 If one of thy brethren with thee be poore within any of thy gates in thy land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poore brother:
7 Se houver entre vós um homem pobre dentre um de teus irmãos, em alguma das tuas portas, na tua terra, que o SENHOR teu Deus te dá, não endurecerás o teu coração, nem fecharás a tua mão a teu irmão pobre;
8 But thou shalt open thine hand vnto him, and shalt lend him sufficient for his neede which he hath.
8 mas abrirás completamente a tua mão a ele, e certamente lhe emprestarás o suficiente para a sua necessidade, naquilo que lhe falta.
9 Beware that there be not a wicked thought in thine heart, to say, The seuenth yeere, the yeere of freedome is at hand: therefore it grieueth thee to looke on thy poore brother, and thou giuest him nought, and he crie vnto the Lord against thee, so that sinne be in thee:
9 Cuida que não haja um pensamento em teu ímpio coração, dizendo: O sétimo ano, o ano da remissão, é chegado; e que o teu olho seja maligno contra o teu irmão pobre, e não lhe dês nada; e que ele clame contra ti ao SENHOR, e que haja pecado em ti.
10 Thou shalt giue him, and let it not grieue thine heart to giue vnto him: for because of this the Lord thy God shall blesse thee in al thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand to.
10 Certamente lhe darás, e o teu coração não se entristecerá, quando lhe deres; porque por isto o SENHOR teu Deus te abençoará em todas as tuas obras, e em tudo aquilo em que puseres a tua mão.
11 Because there shall be euer some poore in the land, therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand vnto thy brother, to thy needie, and to thy poore in thy land.
11 Porque o pobre nunca deixará a terra; portanto eu te ordeno, dizendo: Abrirás completamente a tua mão a teu irmão, ao teu pobre, e ao teu necessitado na tua terra.
12 If thy brother an Ebrewe sell himselfe to thee, or an Ebrewesse, and serue thee sixe yeere, euen in the seuenth yeere thou shalt let him goe free from thee:
12 E se teu irmão, um homem hebreu ou uma mulher hebreia te for vendido, e te servir durante seis anos, então, no sétimo ano, tu o deixarás ir livre.
13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him goe away emptie,
13 E quando o deixares ir livre, não o deixarás ir embora vazio;
14 But shalt giue him a liberall reward of thy sheepe, and of thy corne, and of thy wine: thou shalt giue him of that wherewith the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.
14 tu lhes darás generosamente do teu rebanho, e da tua eira, e do teu lagar; daquilo com que o SENHOR teu Deus te abençoou, tu darás a ele.
15 And remember that thou wast a seruant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God deliuered thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.
15 E te lembrarás de que foste um servo na terra do Egito, e o SENHOR teu Deus te resgatou; portanto eu te ordeno estas coisas hoje.
16 And if he say vnto thee, I will not go away from thee, because he loueth thee and thine house, and because he is well with thee,
16 E acontecerá que, se ele te disser: Não me afastarei de ti; porque ele te ama e à tua casa, porque está bem contigo;
17 Then shalt thou take a naule, and perce his eare through against the doore, and he shall be thy seruant for euer: and vnto thy maid seruant thou shall doe likewise.
17 então tomarás uma sovela, e lhe furarás a orelha, junto à porta, e ele será teu servo para sempre. E também farás do mesmo modo com a tua serva.
18 Let it not grieue thee, when thou lettest him goe out free from thee: for he hath serued thee sixe yeeres, which is the double worth of an hired seruant: and the Lord thy God shall blesse thee in all that thou doest.
18 Não te parecerá duro quando o enviares livre para longe de ti; pois ele trabalhou para ti como um servo que ganharia o dobro, e te serviu durante seis anos; e o SENHOR teu Deus te abençoará, em tudo o que fizeres.
19 All the first borne males that come of thy cattell, and of thy sheepe, thou shalt sanctifie vnto the Lord thy God. Thou shalt do no worke with thy first borne bullocke, nor sheare thy first borne sheepe.
19 Todo primogênito macho que nascer dos teus gados e dos teus rebanhos santificarás ao SENHOR teu Deus; não trabalharás com o primogênito do teu novilho, nem tosquiarás o primogênito das tuas ovelhas.
20 Thou shalt eate it before the Lord thy God yeere by yeere, in the place which the Lord shall chose, both thou, and thine household.
20 Tu o comerás diante do SENHOR teu Deus, ano após ano, no lugar que o SENHOR escolher, tu e a tua casa.
21 But if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or haue any euill fault, thou shalt not offer it vnto the Lord thy God,
21 E se houver algum defeito nele, se for coxo, ou cego, ou se tiver algum defeito, não o sacrificarás ao SENHOR teu Deus.
22 But shalt eate it within thy gates: the vncleane, and the cleane shall eate it alike, as the roe bucke, and as the hart.
22 Tu o comerás dentro das tuas portas: o limpo e o imundo também o comerão, como o cervo e o veado.
23 Onely thou shalt not eate the blood thereof, but powre it vpon the ground as water.
23 Somente não comerás o seu sangue, mas o derramarás sobre o solo como água.
