1 In the first yeere of Darius the sonne of Ahashuerosh, of the seede of the Medes, which was made King ouer the realme of the Caldeans,
1 Era o primeiro ano do reinado de Dario, o medo, filho de Assuero, que se tornou rei dos babilônios.
2 Euen in the first yeere of his reigne, I Daniel vnderstood by bookes the nomber of the yeeres, whereof the Lord had spoken vnto Ieremiah the Prophet, that he would accomplish seuentie yeeres in the desolation of Ierusalem.
2 Nesse primeiro ano, eu, Daniel, ao estudar a palavra do S enhor revelada ao profeta Jeremias, compreendi que Jerusalém devia permanecer desolada por setenta anos.
3 And I turned my face vnto the Lord God, and sought by prayer and supplications with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
3 Então me voltei para o Senhor Deus e supliquei a ele com oração e jejum. Também vesti pano de saco e coloquei cinzas sobre a cabeça.
4 And I prayed vnto the Lord my God, and made my confession, saying, Oh Lord God, which art great and fearefull, and keepest couenant and mercy toward them which loue thee, and toward them that keepe thy commandements,
4 Orei ao S enhor , meu Deus, e confessei: “Ó Senhor, és Deus grande e temível! Tu guardas tua aliança de amor leal para com os que te amam e obedecem a teus mandamentos.
5 We haue sinned, and haue committed iniquitie and haue done wickedly, yea, we haue rebelled, and haue departed from thy precepts, and from thy iudgements.
5 Contudo, nós pecamos e fizemos o mal. Fomos rebeldes contra ti e desprezamos teus mandamentos e estatutos.
6 For we would not obey thy seruants the Prophets, which spake in thy Name to our Kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
6 Não demos ouvidos a teus servos, os profetas, que falaram em teu nome a nossos reis, príncipes, antepassados e a todo o povo da terra.
7 O Lord, righteousnes belongeth vnto thee, and vnto vs open shame, as appeareth this day vnto euery man of Iudah, and to the inhabitants of Ierusalem: yea, vnto all Israel, both neere and farre off, through all the countreys, whither thou hast driuen them, because of their offences, that they haue committed against thee.
7 “Senhor, tu és justo; mas, como vês, nosso rosto está coberto de vergonha. Todos estamos envergonhados, incluindo os habitantes de Judá e de Jerusalém e todo o Israel, espalhados em lugares próximos e distantes, para onde tu nos enviaste por causa de nossa deslealdade contigo.
8 O Lord, vnto vs apperteineth open shame, to our Kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we haue sinned against thee.
8 Ó S enhor , nós, nossos reis, príncipes e antepassados estamos cobertos de vergonha porque pecamos contra ti.
9 Yet compassion and forgiuenesse is in the Lord our God, albeit we haue rebelled against him.
9 Mas o Senhor, nosso Deus, é misericordioso e perdoador, embora tenhamos nos rebelado contra ele.
10 For we haue not obeyed the voyce of the Lord our God, to walke in his lawes, which he had laide before vs by the ministerie of his seruants the Prophets.
10 Não obedecemos ao S enhor , nosso Deus, pois não seguimos as leis que ele nos deu por meio de seus servos, os profetas.
11 Yea, all Israel haue transgressed thy Lawe, and are turned backe, and haue not heard thy voyce: therefore the curse is powred vpon vs, and the othe that is written in the Lawe of Moses the seruant of God, because we haue sinned against him.
11 Todo o Israel desobedeceu às tuas leis, desviou-se e não quis ouvir tua voz. “Por isso, agora as maldições solenes e os juízos escritos na lei de Moisés, servo de Deus, foram derramados sobre nós por causa de nosso pecado.
12 And he hath confirmed his wordes, which he spake against vs, and against our iudges that iudged vs, by bringing vpon vs a great plague: for vnder the whole heauen hath not bene the like, as hath bene brought vpon Ierusalem.
12 Tu cumpriste tua palavra e fizeste conosco e com nossos governantes exatamente como havias advertido. Nunca houve calamidade tão terrível quanto a que aconteceu em Jerusalém.
13 All this plague is come vpon vs, as it is written in the Lawe of Moses: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turne from our iniquities and vnderstand thy trueth.
13 Todas as maldições escritas contra nós na lei de Moisés se cumpriram. E, no entanto, não quisemos buscar a misericórdia do S enhor , nosso Deus, não nos afastamos de nossos pecados nem reconhecemos sua verdade.
14 Therefore hath the Lord made ready the plague, and brought it vpon vs: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we would not heare his voyce.
14 Portanto, o S enhor trouxe sobre nós a calamidade que havia preparado. O S enhor , nosso Deus, foi justo em fazer todas essas coisas, pois não lhe obedecemos.
15 And nowe, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people out of the land of Egypt with a mightie hand, and hast gotten thee renoume, as appeareth this day, we haue sinned, we haue done wickedly.
15 “Ó Senhor, nosso Deus, tu trouxeste honra duradoura para teu nome ao resgatar teu povo do Egito com grande demonstração de poder. Mas nós pecamos e estamos cheios de maldade.
16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousnes, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy wrath be turned away from thy citie Ierusalem thine holy Mountaine: for because of our sinnes, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Ierusalem and thy people are a reproche to all that are about vs.
16 De acordo com toda a tua justiça, Senhor, desvia tua ira furiosa de Jerusalém, tua cidade e teu santo monte. Como resultado de nossos pecados e dos pecados de nossos antepassados, todas as nações vizinhas zombam de Jerusalém e de teu povo.
17 Nowe therefore, O our God, heare the prayer of thy serunant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine vpon thy Sanctuarie, that lyeth waste for the Lords sake.
17 “Ó nosso Deus, ouve a oração de teu servo; ouve minha súplica. Por causa de ti mesmo, Senhor, volta a olhar com bondade para teu santuário desolado.
18 O my God, encline thine eare and heare: open thine eyes, and beholde our desolations, and the citie whereupon thy Name is called: for we doe not present our supplications before thee for our owne righteousnes, but for thy great tender mercies.
18 “Ó meu Deus, inclina-te e ouve-me; abre teus olhos e vê nossa desolação. Vê como nossa cidade, a cidade que leva teu nome, está em ruínas. Fazemos esta súplica não porque merecemos, mas por causa de tua misericórdia.
19 O Lord, heare, O Lord forgiue, O Lord consider, and doe it: deferre not, for thine owne sake, O my God: for thy Name is called vpon thy citie, and vpon thy people.
19 “Ó Senhor, ouve; ó Senhor, perdoa; ó Senhor, atende-nos e age! Por causa de ti mesmo, não te demores, ó meu Deus, pois teu povo e tua cidade carregam teu nome”.
20 And whiles I was speaking and praying, and confessing my sinne, and the sinne of my people Israel, and did present my supplication before the Lord my God, for the holy Mountaine of my God,
20 Continuei a orar e a confessar meu pecado e o pecado de meu povo, Israel, suplicando ao S enhor , meu Deus, por Jerusalém, seu santo monte.
21 Yea, while I was speaking in prayer, euen the man Gabriel, whome I had seene before in the vision, came flying, and touched mee about the time of the euening oblation.
21 Enquanto eu orava, Gabriel, que eu tinha visto na visão anterior, veio a mim depressa, na hora do sacrifício da tarde.
22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and sayd, O Daniel, I am now come forth to giue thee knowledge and vnderstanding.
22 Ele explicou: “Daniel, vim lhe dar percepção e entendimento.
23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandement came foorth, and I am come to shewe thee, for thou art greatly beloued: therefore vnderstande the matter and consider the vision.
23 Assim que você começou a orar, foi dada uma ordem, e agora estou aqui para lhe dizer qual foi essa ordem, pois você é muito precioso para Deus. Ouça com atenção para entender o significado de sua visão.
24 Seuentie weekes are determined vpon thy people and vpon thine holy citie, to finish the wickednes, and to seale vp the sinnes, and to reconcile the inquitie, and to bring in euerlasting righteousnesse, and to seale vp the vision and prophecie, and to anoynt the most Holy.
24 “Um período de setenta semanas de sete foi decretado ao seu povo e à sua cidade santa para dar fim à rebelião, acabar com o pecado, fazer expiação por sua culpa, trazer justiça eterna, confirmar a visão profética e ungir o lugar santíssimo.
25 Knowe therefore and vnderstande, that from the going foorth of the commandement to bring againe the people, and to builde Ierusalem, vnto Messiah the prince, shall be seuen weekes and threescore and two weekes, and the streete shalbe built againe, and the wall euen in a troublous time.
25 Agora ouça e entenda! Passarão sete semanas, mais 62 semanas desde que for dada a ordem para reconstruir Jerusalém até a chegada do governante, o Ungido. Apesar dos tempos difíceis, Jerusalém será reconstruída com ruas e fortes defesas.
26 And after threescore and two weekes, shall Messiah be slaine, and shall haue nothing,, and the people of the prince that shall come, shall destroy the citie and the Sanctuarie, and the end thereof shalbe with a flood: and vnto the end of the battell it shalbe destroyed by desolations.
26 “Depois desse período de 62 semanas de sete, o Ungido será morto, e nada dele restará. Surgirá um governante cujos exércitos destruirão a cidade e o templo. O fim chegará com uma inundação, e a guerra e seus sofrimentos estão decretados desde esse tempo até o fim.
27 And he shall confirme the couenant with many for one weeke: and in the middes of the weeke he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the ouerspreading of the abominations, he shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation determined shalbe powred vpon the desolate.
27 O governante fará um tratado com muitos por um período de uma semana, mas depois de metade desse tempo ele acabará com os sacrifícios e com as ofertas. E, numa parte do templo, ele colocará uma terrível profanação, até que o destino declarado para esse profanador seja finalmente derramado sobre ele”.
