1 After, I beheld whe the Lambe had opened one of the seales, and I heard one of the foure beastes say, as it were the noise of thunder, Come and see.
1 Então vi o Cordeiro quebrar o primeiro dos sete selos e ouvi um dos quatro seres vivos dizer com voz forte como o barulho de um trovão: — Venha!
2 Therefore I behelde, and loe, there was a white horse, and hee that sate on him, had a bowe, and a crowne was giuen vnto him, and he went forth conquering that he might ouercome.
2 Olhei e vi um cavalo branco. O seu cavaleiro tinha um arco, e lhe deram uma coroa de rei. E ele saiu vencendo e conquistando.
3 And when he had opened the seconde seale, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
3 Depois o Cordeiro quebrou o segundo selo. E ouvi o segundo ser vivo dizer: — Venha!
4 And there went out an other horse, that was red, and power was giuen to him that sate thereon, to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another, and there was giuen vnto him a great sword.
4 Aí saiu outro cavalo, que era vermelho. O seu cavaleiro recebeu o poder de trazer a guerra ao mundo a fim de que as pessoas matassem umas às outras. E ele recebeu uma grande espada.
5 And when hee had opened the thirde seale, I heard the thirde beast say, Come and see: Then I behelde, and loe, a blacke horse, and he that sate on him, had balances in his hand.
5 Então o Cordeiro quebrou o terceiro selo. E ouvi o terceiro ser vivo dizer: — Venha! Olhei e vi um cavalo preto. O seu cavaleiro tinha uma balança na mão.
6 And I heard a voice in the mids of the foure beastes say, A measure of wheate for a penie, and three measures of barly for a peny, and oyle, and wine hurt thou not.
6 Ouvi o que parecia ser uma voz, que vinha do meio dos quatro seres vivos e dizia: — Meio quilo de trigo custa o que vocês ganham num dia inteiro de trabalho; e um quilo e meio de
7 And when he had opened the fourth seale, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
7 Depois o Cordeiro quebrou o quarto selo. E ouvi o quarto ser vivo dizer: — Venha!
8 And I looked, and beholde, a pale horse, and his name that sate on him was Death, and Hell folowed after him, and power was giuen vnto them ouer the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sworde, and with hunger, and with death, and with beasts of the earth.
8 Olhei e vi um cavalo amarelo. O seu cavaleiro se chamava Morte, e o mundo dos mortos o seguia. Estes receberam poder sobre a quarta parte da terra, para matar por meio de guerras, fome, doenças e animais selvagens.
9 And when hee had opened the fifth seale, I sawe vnder the altar the soules of them, that were killed for the worde of God, and for the testimonie which they mainteined.
9 Então o Cordeiro quebrou o quinto selo. E vi debaixo do altar as almas dos que tinham sido mortos porque haviam anunciado a mensagem de Deus e tinham sido fiéis no seu testemunho.
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, Lord, which art holie and true! doest not thou iudge and auenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
10 Eles gritavam com voz bem forte: — Ó Todo-Poderoso, santo e verdadeiro! Quando julgarás e condenarás os que na terra nos mataram?
11 And long white robes were giuen vnto euery one, and it was saide vnto them, that they shoulde rest for a litle season vntill their fellow seruants, and their brethren that shoulde bee killed euen as they were, were fulfilled.
11 Cada um deles recebeu uma roupa branca. E foi dito a eles que descansassem um pouco mais, até que se completasse o número dos seus companheiros no trabalho de Cristo, que eram seus irmãos e que iam ser mortos como eles tinham sido.
12 And I behelde when hee had opened the sixt seale, and loe, there was a great earthquake, and the sunne was as blacke as sackecloth of heare, and the moone was like blood.
12 Em seguida vi o Cordeiro quebrar o sexto selo. Houve um violento terremoto, o sol se tornou negro como uma roupa de luto, e a lua ficou toda vermelha como sangue.
13 And the starres of heauen fell vnto the earth, as a figge tree casteth her greene figges when it is shaken of a mightie winde.
13 As estrelas caíram do céu sobre a terra, como os figos verdes caem da figueira sacudida por um vento forte.
14 And heauen departed away, as a scroule, when it is rolled, and euery mountaine and yle were mooued out of their places.
14 O céu desapareceu como um rolo de papel que se enrola de novo, e todos os montes e ilhas foram tirados dos seus lugares.
15 And the Kinges of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chiefe captaines, and the mighty men, and euery bondman, and euery free man, hid themselues in dennes, and among the rockes of the mountaines,
15 Então os reis do mundo inteiro, os governadores e os chefes militares, os ricos e os poderosos e todas as outras pessoas, escravas ou livres, se esconderam nas cavernas e debaixo das rochas das montanhas.
16 And said to the mountaines and rocks, Fal on vs, and hide vs from the presence of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lambe.
16 E gritavam para os montes e para as rochas: — Caiam sobre nós e nos escondam dos olhos daquele que está sentado no trono e nos protejam da
17 For the great day of his wrath is come, and who can stand?
17 Pois já chegou o grande dia da ira deles, e quem poderá aguentá-la?
