1 And I saw an Angel come downe from heauen, hauing the keye of the bottomles pit, and a great chaine in his hand.
1 Então vi descer do céu um anjo que tinha na mão a chave do abismo e uma grande corrente.
2 And he tooke the dragon that olde serpent, which is the deuill and Satan, and he bounde him a thousand yeeres:
2 Ele segurou o dragão, a antiga serpente, que é o diabo, Satanás, e o prendeu por mil anos.
3 And cast him into the bottomles pit, and he shut him vp, and sealed the doore vpon him, that he should deceiue the people no more, till the thousand yeeres were fulfilled: for after that he must be loosed for a litle season.
3 Lançou-o no abismo, fechou-o e pôs selo sobre ele, para que não mais enganasse as nações até se completarem os mil anos. Depois disso, é necessário que ele seja solto por um pouco de tempo.
4 And I sawe seates: and they sate vpon them, and iudgement was giuen vnto them, and I saw the soules of them that were beheaded for the witnes of Iesus, and for the word of God, and which did not worship the beast, neither his image, neither had taken his marke vpon their foreheads, or on their handes: and they liued, and reigned with Christ a thousand yeere.
4 Vi também tronos, e nestes sentaram-se aqueles aos quais foi dada autoridade para julgar. Vi ainda as almas dos que foram decapitados por terem dado testemunho de Jesus e proclamado a palavra de Deus. Estes são os que não adoraram a besta nem a sua imagem, e não receberam a sua marca na testa e na mão; e viveram e reinaram com Cristo durante mil anos.
5 But the rest of the dead men shall not liue againe, vntill the thousand yeres be finished: this is the first resurrection.
5 Os restantes dos mortos não reviveram até que se completassem os mil anos. Esta é a primeira ressurreição.
6 Blessed and holy is hee, that hath part in the first resurrection: for on such the second death hath no power: but they shalbe the Priests of God and of Christ, and shall reigne with him a thousand yeere.
6 Bem-aventurado e santo é aquele que tem parte na primeira ressurreição. Sobre esses a segunda morte não tem poder; pelo contrário, serão sacerdotes de Deus e de Cristo e reinarão com ele os mil anos.
7 And when the thousand yeres are expired, Satan shalbe loosed out of his prison,
7 Quando, porém, se completarem os mil anos, Satanás será solto da sua prisão
8 And shall go out to deceiue the people, which are in the foure quarters of the earth: euen Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battell, whose number is, as the sand of the sea.
8 e sairá para enganar as nações que estão nos quatro cantos da terra, Gogue e Magogue, a fim de reuni-las para a batalha. O número dessas é como a areia do mar.
9 And they went vp into the plaine of the earth, and they compassed the tents of the Saints about, and the beloued citie: but fire came downe from God out of heauen, and deuoured them.
9 Marcharam, então, pela superfície da terra e cercaram o acampamento dos santos e a cidade amada. Porém, desceu fogo do céu e os consumiu.
10 And the deuill that deceiued them, was cast into a lake of fire and brimstone, where that beast and that false prophet are, and shall be tormented euen day and night for euermore.
10 O diabo, que os tinha enganado, foi lançado no lago de fogo e enxofre, onde já se encontram a besta e o falso profeta; e serão atormentados de dia e de noite, para todo o sempre.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and one that sate on it, from whose face fled away both the earth and heauen, and their place was no more found.
11 Vi um grande trono branco e aquele que está sentado nele. A terra e o céu fugiram da presença dele, e não se achou lugar para eles.
12 And I saw the dead, both great and small stand before God: and the bookes were opened, and another booke was opened, which is the booke of life, and the dead were iudged of those thinges, which were written in the bookes, according to their woorkes.
12 Vi também os mortos, os grandes e os pequenos, que estavam em pé diante do trono. Então foram abertos livros. Ainda outro livro, o Livro da Vida, foi aberto. E os mortos foram julgados, segundo as suas obras, conforme o que estava escrito nos livros.
13 And the sea gaue vp her dead, which were in her, and death and hell deliuered vp the dead, which were in them: and they were iudged euery man according to their woorkes.
13 O mar entregou os mortos que nele estavam. A morte e o inferno entregaram os mortos que neles havia. E foram julgados, um por um, segundo as suas obras.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death.
14 Então a morte e o inferno foram lançados no lago de fogo. Esta é a segunda morte, o lago de fogo.
15 And whosoeuer was not found written in the booke of life, was cast into the lake of fire.
15 E, se alguém não foi achado inscrito no Livro da Vida, esse foi lançado no lago de fogo.
