1 And after these things I heard a great voyce of a great multitude in heauen, saying, Hallelu-iah, saluation, and glorie, and honour, and power be to the Lord our God.
1 Depois disso ouvi no céu uma voz forte como se fosse a de uma grande multidão, que dizia: —
2 For true and righteous are his iudgements: for he hath condemned that great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath auenged the blood of his seruants shed by her hand.
2 Os seus julgamentos são verdadeiros e justos. Ele condenou a famosa prostituta que corrompia a terra com a sua imoralidade. Deus a castigou porque ela havia matado os servos dele.
3 And againe they saide, Hallelu-iah: and that her smoke rose vp for euermore.
3 E a multidão disse outra vez: — Aleluia! A fumaça do incêndio da grande cidade sobe para todo o sempre.
4 And the foure and twentie Elders, and the foure beastes fell downe, and worshipped God that sate on the throne, saying, Amen, Hallelu-iah.
4 Então os vinte e quatro líderes e os quatro seres vivos caíram de joelhos e adoraram a Deus, que estava sentado no trono, e disseram: —
5 Then a voyce came out of the throne, saying, Prayse our God, all ye his seruants, and ye that feare him, both small and great.
5 Então veio do trono o som de uma voz, que dizia: — Louvem o nosso Deus, todos os seus
6 And I heard like a voyce of a great multitude, and as the voyce of many waters, and as the voyce of strong thundrings, saying, Hallelu-iah: for the Lord that God that almightie God hath reigned.
6 Aí ouvi um som que parecia a voz de uma grande multidão, como o barulho de uma grande cachoeira ou como fortes trovões, que dizia: —
7 Let vs be glad and reioyce, and giue glory to him: for the marriage of that Lambe is come, and his wife hath made her selfe ready.
7 Fiquemos alegres e felizes! Louvemos a sua glória ! Porque chegou a hora da festa de casamento do Cordeiro, e a noiva já se preparou para recebê-lo.
8 And to her was granted, that she should be arayed with pure fine linnen and shining, for the fine linnen is the righteousnesse of Saintes.
8 A ela foi dado linho finíssimo, linho brilhante e puro para se vestir. O linho são as boas ações do povo de Deus.
9 Then he said vnto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called vnto the Lambes supper. And he said vnto me, These wordes of God are true.
9 Então o anjo me disse: — Escreva isto: “Felizes os que foram convidados para a festa de casamento do Cordeiro!” E o anjo disse ainda: — São essas as verdadeiras palavras de Deus.
10 And I fell before his feete, to worship him: but he said vnto me, See thou doe it not: I am thy fellowe seruant, and one of thy brethren, which haue the testimonie of Iesus. Worship God: for the testimonie of Iesus is the Spirit of prophecie.
10 Aí eu me ajoelhei aos pés do anjo para adorá-lo, mas ele me disse: — Não faça isso! Pois eu sou servo de Deus, assim como são você e os seus irmãos que continuam fiéis à verdade revelada por Jesus. Adore a Deus! Pois a verdade revelada por Jesus é a mensagem que o Espírito entrega aos
11 And I sawe heauen open, and behold, a white horse, and he that sate vpon him, was called, Faithfull and true, and he iudgeth and fighteth righteously.
11 Em seguida vi o céu aberto, e apareceu um cavalo branco. O seu cavaleiro se chama Fiel e Verdadeiro. Ele julga e combate com justiça.
12 And his eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crownes: and he had a name written, that no man knewe but himselfe.
12 Os seus olhos eram como chamas de fogo, e ele tinha muitas coroas na cabeça. Havia escrito nele um nome que ninguém conhece, a não ser ele mesmo.
13 And he was clothed with a garment dipt in blood, and his name is called THE WORD OF GOD.
13 A sua capa estava encharcada de sangue. Ele se chama “A Palavra de Deus”.
14 And the hostes which werein heauen, followed him vpon white horses, clothed with fine linnen white and pure.
14 Os exércitos do céu o seguiam, montados em cavalos brancos e vestidos de linho branco e puro.
15 And out of his mouth went out a sharpe sworde, that with it he should smite the heathen: for he shall rule them with a rod of yron: for he it is that treadeth the wine presse of the fiercenesse and wrath of almightie God.
15 Da sua boca saía uma espada afiada, com a qual ele vencerá as nações. Ele as governará com uma barra de ferro e pisará as uvas no tanque do furor da ira do Deus Todo-Poderoso.
16 And he hath vpon his garment, and vpon his thigh a name written, THE KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
16 Na capa e na perna dele estava escrito este nome: “Rei dos reis e Senhor dos senhores.”
17 And I sawe an Angel stand in the sunne, who cryed with a loude voyce, saying to all the foules that did flie by the middes of heauen, Come, and gather your selues together vnto the supper of ye great God,
17 Então vi um anjo que estava de pé sobre o sol. Ele gritou com voz forte, dizendo o seguinte para todas as aves que estavam voando bem alto: — Venham e se ajuntem para o grande banquete de Deus!
18 That ye may eate the flesh of Kings, and the flesh of hie Captaines, and the flesh of mightie men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all freemen, and bondmen, and of small and great.
18 Venham e comam a carne de reis, de generais e de soldados, de cavalos e de cavaleiros e de todas as pessoas, sejam escravas ou livres, sejam importantes ou humildes.
19 And I sawe the beast, and the Kings of the earth, and their hostes gathered together to make battell against him that sate on the horse, and against his armie.
19 Depois vi o monstro e os reis do mundo inteiro e os seus exércitos reunidos para lutar contra aquele que estava montado no cavalo e contra o seu exército.
20 But ye beast was taken, and with him that false prophet that wrought miracles before him, whereby he deceiued them that receiued ye beastes marke, and them that worshipped his image. These both were aliue cast into a lake of fire, burning with brimstone.
20 O monstro foi feito prisioneiro junto com o falso profeta , que havia feito coisas espantosas na sua presença. Com aquelas coisas ele havia enganado os que tinham o sinal do monstro e os que haviam adorado a imagem do monstro. O monstro e o falso profeta foram jogados vivos no lago de fogo que queima com enxofre .
21 And the remnant were slayne with the sword of him that sitteth vpon the horse, which commeth out of his mouth, and all the foules were filled full with their flesh.
21 Os seus exércitos foram mortos pela espada que saía da boca daquele que estava montado no cavalo branco. E todas as aves comeram da carne deles até não quererem mais.
